Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 2034: Chapter 48: Battle of the Giants!

And what rendered them speechless was that this guy looked like he came to challenge them. Their silence stemmed from their realization that if they had known he possessed the ability to challenge an ordinary night patrol team member, they would have certainly wanted him. It was precisely because he lacked such ability that they had shut him out.

”Let’s start.”

The gatekeeper saw his colleagues gathering around, and a glint flashed across his face.

He wanted to show off in front of his colleagues and knock this trouble-making Outsider out.

”Start.”

Pierz finally showed a hint of seriousness.

Both of them started simultaneously.

The gatekeeper swung his fist aggressively at Pierz’s head.

The combat talent of the Giant Tribe was no joke. Even ordinary female giants could understand basic combat skills, let alone male giants who were more adept in such matters.

The combat abilities in Pierz’s hands, according to Jia Yan, were relatively easy to teach, especially since this guy had a good sense of aspiration. He had already integrated the boxing techniques he learned that day into his heart and mind.

So, when the gatekeeper threw his punch, Pierz swung a counter-punch.

This punch made all present tighten their heart and mind.

”What, it’s such a powerful punch!”

”Wasn’t he kicked out by us last time? How could he have such combat power? If such combat power still gets kicked out, doesn’t that mean we cannot enter this night patrol team either?”

”This is outrageous.”

At this moment, the males of the Giant Tribe were amazed by the punch Pierz threw.

After all, Jia Yan had taught him boxing techniques extremely suitable for Humans, and Pierz already understood certain combat routines. Thus, within one or two days, he learned a lot and looked quite competent.

Soon, their fists collided.

However, anyone could see that the gap between the gatekeeper and Pierz was large.

Pierz should have reserved some strength. As a disciple of Jia Yan, he didn’t know if his strength could contend with the Captain, but the gatekeeper was definitely not at the captain’s level. He deliberately held back some strength, so when he encountered the Captain, he could use his strongest power. It was best now to preserve some strength and not let others see through his full capability.

”Hiss.”

A group of males from the Giant Tribe felt Pierz’s combat power at this moment; that punch was like lightning, instantly breaking through the gatekeeper’s fist, attacking his body before his fist had landed.

Puff.

With one punch, the gatekeeper suddenly spurted a mouthful of blood.

”Impressive, that punch was at least half as strong as the Captain. That guy’s power is not the weakest in our night patrol team, yet he couldn’t even defend against a single punch.”

The spectators were stunned by the combat power displayed by Pierz.

But Pierz himself was even more astonished.

Before this, encountering fellow giants of such strength meant fleeing for Pierz.

Yet now, he knocked him down with a single punch.

”Teacher, I won.”

At this moment, Pierz didn’t immediately display excitement or happiness; he secretly shared some enthusiasm with Jia Yan.

”I know, but don’t get happy. Winning against one giant doesn’t mean anything. Your target is the Captain of the night patrol team.”

”I remember now.”

Upon hearing Jia Yan’s remark, Pierz felt no resistance.

Winning over a single opponent shifted Pierz’s emotions wholly toward relying on Jia Yan, recognizing that his Master wouldn’t deceive him.

”Alright, so who will go and invite your Captain now? I want to challenge him. I seem to recall hearing that we new preparatory members have the right to challenge the Captain, right?”

”That’s correct, new preparatory members have the right to challenge the Captain, but that qualification has lapsed over the last few days.”

A man with a somber expression stepped forward to talk to Pierz.

”Oh, so it’s Deputy Captain Lord.”

Seeing the man, Pierz recognized him immediately.

Jia Yan, hiding inside Pierz’s clothing, recognized the man too, because he had come to Pierz’s house with the Captain one day, watching Pierz’s family.

”How about this, if Deputy Captain Lord fights me, and I win, then I’ll challenge the Captain.”

Pierz made a bold statement.

This remark incited indignation among the night patrol team members present.

These team members had worked together for a long time, fostering close relationships, even closer than siblings.

Thus, they couldn’t sit idly upon hearing the Deputy Captain being demeaned by an Outsider.

”Hmph, if you want a fight, let’s go. I’ll take you on.”

”No need, Ice King Brother can take him down effortlessly.”

”He beat that guy and thinks he’s unbeatable in our night patrol team? Ha, who gave you such confidence? We aren’t a simple team; let’s spar, kid.”

Several night patrol team members were eager to fight Pierz.

But Pierz had no interest in them.

”So Deputy Captain Lord, if you aren’t willing, let the Captain come out. I have no time to play slowly with you.”

At this moment, Pierz suddenly felt like a master, commanding the scene, which was exhilarating.

”Fine, the Captain isn’t here. Allow me to play with you then.”

The Deputy Captain appeared conflicted but proceeded to step into the ring.

”Much better.”

Pierz sneered, and positioned himself in his boxing stance again.

However, nobody noticed a crouching figure slowly appearing at the edge of the arena.

A member of the night patrol team spotted him from afar and was about to speak when the figure motioned to remain silent.

Indeed, the emerging figure was the Captain of the night patrol team.

He had received word earlier about someone wanting to challenge him.

This made his expression change.

This was because anyone daring to challenge typically had decent potential, especially one who defeated an ordinary member with a single move, promising to be a worthy opponent for him.

He appeared silently, listening to Pierz’s challenge to the Deputy Captain, then quietly directed someone to accept Pierz’s combat request.

He wanted to observe Pierz’s combat power first.

”Kid, I’ve seen your strength, and it’s quite strong. I don’t know why you didn’t show it earlier, otherwise, we would have promptly accepted you.”

”Hehe, what if I said I couldn’t showcase my strength due to certain reasons? My challenge this time stems from displeasure with your previous attitude. Even if I’m a regular person, shouldn’t there be a process? Yet, you treated me so coldly and even mocked me in the end, causing me to return home in embarrassment—which was wronged on your part.”
