Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 2024: Chapter 43: Who Taught You?

So this version of cultivating combat skills, for humans, is like the most fitting and the best thing.

Even if the Giants’ physiology is somewhat different from Earth people, Jia Yan has already investigated that the differences are minimal—akin to a tiny pebble on a highway causing trouble.

And the facts have proven that his cultivation technique has immense effects, even when just taught to this young Giant.

”Given how excellent this cultivation technique is, I can’t teach it carelessly, and I must have means to control them, or else if this child learns my skills and uses them against me, I truly feel I won’t escape with my life. After all, Giants enhanced by this cultivation technique are simply terrifyingly formidable.”

Jia Yan thought of many things, like whether a Giant with this cultivation technique might turn around and swat his master to death.

Since he is but a negligible creature, if they really intend to do that, Jia Yan wouldn’t have any means to resist.

”Fortunately, Earth’s research is quite extensive, and I have not less than ten methods in my mind to control those learning my cultivation technique. The heart of defense shouldn’t be lacking—even if this child seems decent now, I must keep some backdoors.”

The human heart is prone to change, Jia Yan is well aware of this, so he doesn’t feel putting a hidden hand on his Giant Tribe disciple is improper.

Ideally, he hopes this hidden hand will never need to be used.

”Lord.”

When Jia Yan jumped down from the boy’s shoulder, a group of subordinates swarmed over frantically.

”Oh, you didn’t leave?”

”Of course we didn’t leave; having promised to become the Lord’s subordinates, how could we leave like that?”

Jia Da spoke righteously to Jia Yan.

In truth, he had considered leaving, but seeing Jia Yan return with the Giant Tribe child, he reluctantly stayed.

”Haha, it’s good you stayed, are these brothers here to follow me too? Great, if that’s the case, you can all accompany me in the future.”

Jia Yan didn’t speak any grand words, he simply said this to those who sought to follow him.

No grand words were needed—Jia Yan had unexpectedly connected with a Giant Tribe child, or rather, the child had connected with Jia Yan. Everyone could see that Jia Yan’s future was undeniably bright.

Leaving would be foolish.

A group of creatures followed Jia Yan to the residence left by the Moth creature in a corner of this courtyard.

The residence was nothing special, just slightly larger, far inferior to the Controller Union’s gathering point visited previously.

”Master, I know this place, if you need, I can bring some building materials to help you make it better.”

Under his mother’s guidance, the child came to this area, showing goodwill to Jia Yan.

”No need, I’m quite comfortable living here.”

Jia Yan was satisfied with his living environment; no matter how small it was, it couldn’t match the compactness of the Adisa ship accommodating several dozen star-level beings.

”By the way, Master, our Giant Tribe generally doesn’t reveal our names to others, but my mother said to tell you my name, I’m called Shuang Hao.”

”Shuang Hao? A nice name, I’ll remember it. Shuang Hao, go home; later when your father returns, you can tell him about me.”

”Okay.”

Shuang Hao actually knelt on the ground, respectfully bowing three times to Jia Yan’s house.

”This child.”

Jia Yan didn’t refuse; for him, teaching a cultivation technique developed using countless Earth people as samples was worthy of such a great ceremony. Not for himself, but for those contributing Earth people.

After all, Shuang Hao is an Alien Race, and learning his cultivation technique requires becoming his disciple, regardless of how it helps Jia Yan against the Giant Tribe.

”Accepting this child as a disciple, if I can also recruit his family as my backing, facing the Manipulators Alliance wouldn’t be as stressful, especially given that the Manipulators Alliance is friendly toward me for now.”

Jia Yan pondered, not mentioning it again.

Just mentioning the Giant Tribe child Shuang Hao returned home.

”How did it go, did your master accept your bowing?”

His mother hurriedly approached, nervously asking Shuang Hao.

In this world, disciples often need to bow; if Jia Yan refused Shuang Hao’s bow due to her, she would regret it greatly.

That punch, as she recalls, increasingly made her heart pound.

Since Jia Yan helped, her son could no longer deliver that punch, even if he remembered the moves Jia Yan taught him and mental emptiness techniques, yet he still couldn’t execute a decent move.

But after that punch, he grasped incredibly fearsome striking techniques, and even though lacking that punch’s power, each punch carried a unique flavor.

Seeing this, the mother felt her son found a trustworthy, skilled master.

”Your dad will surely be even happier when he returns.” She spoke excitedly.

Today, Pierz was quite displeased.

He wanted to join this city’s Night Patrol, but was kicked out at the registration site.

The reason was lack of combat power.

”Damn it, my Giant Tribe’s combat power is so strong, my talent is strong, and still I need special combat skills? Which other species isn’t crushed under our feet with just a punch or kick? Disrespecting me and rejecting me? Absurd.”

Pierz was somewhat angry.

But he knew becoming a Night Patrol in the city didn’t mean managing outside creatures, as external beings rarely entered Giant City. Entering meant death with little difference.

He also understood that managing was definitely about overseeing other members of the Giant Tribe within the city.

But being a Giant Tribe member living in the forest, doing physical work daily, he believed his combat power wasn’t inferior. At least, slightly better than an average Giant Tribe male. But even for such a chance, he wasn’t favored.

”Sigh, it’s all because we are talentless commoners. If I find a way, I will definitely get my son trained in good combat skills so he can make me proud.”

”But this is surely wishful thinking, for now, I should consider persuading that mother and child to return to the forest, as surviving by consuming resources here isn’t sustainable.”

He contemplated for long, having returned empty-handed after spending money all day, feeling somewhat embarrassed.

So he lingered around the doorway near home for a long time.

But soon, he was attracted by shouts coming from the borrowed courtyard of his home.

”Ha.”

”Watch me execute the punch again.”

A familiar child’s voice shouted.

Today it sounded confident, with a certain commanding air.

”Isn’t that my son? How is he...”

Pierz quietly peeked over the courtyard wall to see his son.

With one glance, his eyes widened.

”This this this.”

He was immensely astonished.

For he saw his son, in the courtyard at night, punching the air.

The punches didn’t have much form, but each carried an unusual tone.

”Path... Entering the Path?? This this this this... no, not like Entering the Path, yet still remarkably mysterious.”
