Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 2033: Chapter 48: Battle of the Giants!

In the place Pierz mentioned, there was a tall courtyard wall, and at the gate of this wall stood a Giant Tribe man dressed like an official, standing there like a door god.

”Alright, you go ahead directly. I’ll be inside your clothes. If there’s any danger, I’ll communicate with you using Brainwave Power to help you unleash the strongest Brainwave Power. But unless it’s a dangerous situation, I won’t intervene. Everything depends on your own strength.”

Jia Yan said faintly, then shrank into Pierz’s collar.

”Yes, Master.”

Pierz nodded with a more solemn expression.

Then he saw Jia Yan stop speaking and approached the Giant Tribe man on duty, with a cold face.

”Halt... Hmm, I remember you. You failed the interview a few days ago. What are you here for again?”

”Challenge!”

Under the astonished gaze of the gatekeeper, this person, who was here a few days ago and wasn’t just any ordinary beginner, actually dared to speak of issuing a challenge.

”Who do you want to challenge? Is there something wrong with your head?”

This being suspected Pierz of having a problem with his head due to his words. As far as the Giant Tribe was concerned, although a being might be very strong, there was still a possibility that they might have problems with their head.

”Haha, there’s nothing wrong with my head. I want to challenge your Captain.”

Pierz had already resigned himself to fate. He felt that he was fulfilling his Master’s mission, and with his Master behind him, even if he lost, it would just be a bit embarrassing, and he didn’t want to disappoint his Master for the time being.

Pierz believed that what Jia Yan wanted him to do now was to test him or to conduct some kind of research on their Giant Tribe.

After all, Jia Yan wanted to obtain firsthand information, and only the father and son duo by his side were available, right? He must have some astonishing research on the Giant Tribe’s body. Otherwise, how could he create a plan that allowed even their basic physiques to rapidly increase in strength?

”You want to challenge the Captain? Hahaha, kid, did you forget that a few days ago you couldn’t even pass our assessment, and now you want to challenge our Captain? Something must really be wrong with your head.”

”I just want to challenge your Captain. I remember when I came here, I saw that your Night Patrol Team has a rule, that whoever challenges the Captain and wins can gain the Captain’s qualification, right?”

Faced with Pierz’s inquiry, the gatekeeper didn’t want to talk much, just waved his hand.

”Get lost, even though there’s such a rule, it’s for our internal use. Besides, you can’t beat the Captain. Haven’t you been here for a few days now and noticed the Captain’s strength? Even against me, you probably wouldn’t win, let alone face the Captain.”

This gatekeeper looked down on Pierz because he already knew from last time that this Giant Tribe man, whom they had high expectations for based on his appearance, turned out to be useless after they saw his strength.

”You say you can beat me too? Alright then, let’s have a match first.”

Pierz’s face turned sullen.

In fact, he already knew about the Night Patrol Team’s challenge rules and wanted to challenge this Night Patrol Team Captain. Hence, he had to make the other party angry enough but not too much because doing so would cause them to hold a grudge and possibly kill him.

”You want to fight me? Fine, you are still applying to our team, so this can count as part of the test. But remember, fists don’t have eyes, so don’t complain to the higher-ups if you get hurt. You challenged us yourself.”

Coincidentally, this gatekeeper was about to switch shifts, and seeing Pierz’s aggressive demeanor, as someone at the beginner Path Ability level, he certainly couldn’t let it slide.

So he agreed.

Someone came to take over the shift, and then the man relatched, even without mentioning what the outsider was there to do.

The two then headed to the Night Patrol Team’s martial arts training ground.

”Alright, you can choose a weapon. Judging by your appearance, it doesn’t seem like you have one.”

The man thought for a while, feeling speechless because Pierz didn’t bring a weapon. It was as if he couldn’t even afford one.

”No need. I’ll just use my fists to pound you.”

Pierz said lazily.

After all, he wanted to face the Captain. Though he was uncertain of his own strength, facing such an ordinary team member only lessened his psychological burden.

”Hmph, daring to look down on me. Fine, I won’t use a weapon either. Let’s finish this quickly.”

”Hey, what’s happening over there? Why did this guy invite an outsider in?”

”Curiously, he seems to be engaging in a practice match with this outsider?”

”Haha, I recognize him. Isn’t this the guy who tried to join our Night Patrol Team a few days ago? And he wants to challenge us? This is hilarious. He couldn’t even get into our team, yet he wants to challenge us.”

”Uh, I recognize him too. This guy is really bold.”

A number of Night Patrol Team members saw the commotion over there, especially a few sharp-eyed ones, who realized that Pierz had been trying for some time to join the Night Patrol Team as one of their members.”
