Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1734: Chapter 32: Fishing Technology—Can It Work?

The Elf Lady gritted her silver teeth, as a proud and haughty woman, she had already done something extremely unbelievable. In the past, every male creature treated her with utmost respect, not only because of her beauty but also her lineage.

Yet now that Jia Yan showed no reaction to her beauty, nor fear of her lineage, it left her feeling utterly helpless.

Jia Yan walked along the path ahead, almost indifferent to everything around him. For him, university life was simply a unique nostalgia with a slight investigative effect, which kept him going.

If there was anything displeasing, he could abandon this life at any moment.

However, mingling among ordinary students these days, he had heard much intelligence about the White Seed Star.

Because of this, certain officials on the White Seed Star received orders overnight, paying with their lives.

After all, in a galaxy with a change of leadership, although visible chaos wasn’t too apparent, the clandestine struggles for power and wealth were inevitable.

And after Jia Yan’s several effortless interventions, those restless or profit-driven officials and powers quieted instantly.

Because they knew, even if Lord Assassin had left, ’Lord Jia Yan’ was still present.

”Alright, my true body is returning soon, but it’s not like my avatar doesn’t have anything to do.”

That night, Jia Yan’s avatar donned a green outfit, making him look spirited.

Quietly leaving the academy, he came to a strictly guarded location on The Fifth Star.

”Who’s there!”

When Jia Yan arrived at this place, intentionally making a slight noise, the alarm system instantly activated.

”It’s me, stop the alarm.”

Jia Yan calmly revealed himself.

”Ah, it’s Lord Jia Yan!”

The creatures guarding the place were two Secondary Level strong ones, upon seeing Jia Yan, they promptly bowed their heads respectfully.

Even though to them, this small creature surely wasn’t as powerful as them, knowing its status made neither dare be disrespectful.

Seeing Jia Yan was akin to seeing an assassin, this saying had spread among the higher-ups, but since Jia Yan was on The Fifth Star, he requested not to be high-profile, so the higher-ups dared not be too enthusiastic in their dealings with him.

”The items I requested have arrived, right?”

”They’ve arrived, all right here.”

The two Secondary Level beings opened the tightly shut door reverently for Jia Yan.

Then Jia Yan saw, in the warehouse-like place he arrived, several giant new metal artifacts were placed.

”Very good, now you may leave, these items I will requisition.”

Jia Yan nodded lightly, waving his hand.

”Yes, Lord.”

The two Secondary Level creatures exchanged glances; though they were curious about the purpose of the ’White Seed’ relics Jia Yan wanted, they dared not ask further, promptly departing.

But after leaving far away, they didn’t actually leave completely, as their duty was to transfer the warehouse’s items on The Fifth Star, they couldn’t leave without the items being taken.

”Lord Jia Yan’s strength is presumed less than ours, those two things are heavy, how will he move them away? Surely he’ll use a battleship to transport them later.”

”Indeed, and no idea what he intends to use them for. Could it be Lord Assassin needs them? Does this mean Lord Assassin has already returned...”

The two Secondary Level beings speculated wildly there.

But soon, they sensed a shocking fluctuation emanating from the warehouse storing the items, suddenly stirring!

”Hmm, what’s going on!?”

”What happened, quickly check it out!”

The two Secondary Level beings were instantly drenched in cold sweat. Of all things, ’Jia Yan’ was inside!

This fluctuation was too bizarre; could it be an enemy attack?

They were startled, with Jia Yan in trouble, they couldn’t absolve themselves, being close by.

Hence, they hurriedly ran at high speed, racing back to the warehouse!

But upon entering the warehouse, they were dumbfounded, almost unable to believe their eyes.

Because before their eyes, the warehouse previously packed with massive metal items now appeared completely empty, not even a scrap of paper left!

”This, this, this, Lord Jia Yan isn’t here either, quickly, report this upwards.”

The two Secondary Level beings were utterly shocked by the situation, even with their strength, it was impossible to instantly move such massive things, let alone they were watching the place, even at a Semi-permanent Star Level, removing everything from the warehouse under their very noses, including Jia Yan, seemed impossible.

Yet after reporting the specifics upwards, they quickly received a response.

”Huh, we’re told not to worry?”

The two secondary level creatures were once again dumbfounded.

Of course, they did not know that the creature who manipulated things was none other than the one they thought might not be stronger than themselves, ’Lord Jia Yan’.

At this time, Jia Yan was already seated inside an extremely large spacecraft.

”Adisa, is the Adisa completely repaired now?”

Jia Yan’s avatar sat calmly in the vast space across from him, and asked casually.

”Yes, Master, you have no idea. Some of the technology on the White Seed Star is quite good. Not only has the Adisa been repaired, but it has also been somewhat enhanced.”

The tiny shadow mosquito flitted around the avatar, thrilled to see Jia Yan after so long, leaping around with joy.

”Ha ha, alright, let’s head into the starry sky now and see the effect of this thing...”

Jia Yan glanced at the items behind him, smiled faintly, and said with interest.

”Alrighty.”

The Adisa wobbled its mosquito tail, then controlled the Adisa to move quickly in subspace.

During this voyage, Jia Yan also took some time to observe the current appearance and feel of the Adisa.

”Hmm, repaired, and some parts are completely remanufactured. It seems Adisa didn’t hesitate to use the resources of the White Seed Star... But that’s alright, the Adisa is my essential means of travel. No matter how many resources are used, it doesn’t matter.”

Jia Yan nodded faintly.

The Adisa, even with improvements like those Adisa added, functions and effects, on the whole, aren’t too different. After looking for a while, Jia Yan shifted his mind to the ’item’ he had just acquired on board.

This was a tremendously large set of ’fishing gear’ made entirely of metal!

”Thanks to that white seed, what an imaginative design to think of using such a method to fish for ’ghosts’?”

Jia Yan watched as flashes of different colors flickered in his eyes.

He never underestimated other creatures, especially in terms of intelligence. Jia Yan never felt he was crushing others intellectually. He knew that if he were not an Evolutionary Creature and didn’t have a certain talent for combat understanding, he might have died countless times in battles along the way.

The talent of that white seed was probably quite decent. At least after observing a lot of administrative designs and whimsical technologies of the White Seed Star, Jia Yan realized that this aging bear creature had great talent.

Unfortunately, now that person is dead, Jia Yan can only use bits of his wisdom.

”Master, we’ve arrived!”

Navigating at an extremely fast speed within subspace, the Adisa soon shouted to Jia Yan.

”Hmm, very good.”

Jia Yan’s eyes brightened, and he rose from his cross-legged position.

As he stood up, the massive metal apparatus that the two secondary level creatures thought Jia Yan couldn’t move, surprisingly floated up as if weightless under his brainwave power, following behind him.

A massive piece of metal accompanied Jia Yan’s avatar out into the universe’s starry sky.

”Last time I saw that Ghost Fortress, it was nearby. Alright, let’s fish here.”

Jia Yan smiled, then the colossal metal apparatus behind him started to move, automatically assembling into a slender ’fishing gear’!

It was like an ordinary Earth’s fishing tool but with countless fishing lines at its head, each equipped with numerous hooks.

With a flick of his brainwave power, the fishing gear flew out, causing a ripple in space like a fishing rod and then fell to a certain spot in space, sending lines into subspace.

Once the hooks fully entered subspace, Jia Yan nodded with satisfaction.

”Alright, now we just wait for the ’small fish’ to take the bait. I wonder if my fishing skills will do the trick? Haha.”

He chuckled, genuinely finding some enjoyment in fishing.

While Jia Yan was fishing, some battleships or spacecraft passed through this area. Each one was amazed to see a fishing rod, tens of kilometers long, suspended in the starry sky.

Those who knew the ropes, or had seen a similar scene before, were extremely shocked. They knew that such a scenario could only have been orchestrated by the supposedly dead old hegemon ’White Seed’.

Why did something similar appear again now? Could it be, as the rumors suggested, the White Seed hegemon was never truly dead and would return for revenge one day?

Jia Yan was unaware that merely using the equipment left by the White Seed had inadvertently sparked something of an urban legend. Of course, even if he knew, he would not have any particular feelings about it.

While his avatar leisurely enjoyed the pleasure of fishing in the universe, his true body was using his power to fly quickly within subspace.

He could only rendezvous with the Adisa, ensuring his mobility once again, so that in case of any special danger, he could quickly leave.

Things really were just that coincidental!

Just as both bodies of Jia Yan were making progress.

At the edge of the Stellar Battlefield, a small squad was slowly approaching from the distant starry sky...

”There’s evidence indicating that Jia Yan’s flight direction was towards this Stellar Battlefield. Everyone, stay alert. Anyone daring to kill a Strong One from our Stellar Academy, his life must be taken by us!”
