Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1714: Chapter 12: The Master Pretender

For them, the battles between ordinary creatures are merely a pre-fight seasoning and don’t count towards points, so winning or losing doesn’t matter.

“What a fascinating creature. I can sense it. Its structure is not entirely metal, otherwise, it wouldn’t be able to move. Moreover, if it were wholly metal and could still move, its defensive power alone would crush the typical Earth Level creature. How could it be battling with ordinary creatures?”

In such a short time, Jia Yan completely ignored the surrounding doubts and thoroughly observed the metal creature.

After a moment of amazement, he shifted his footwork!

Just when that metal creature seemed about to strike him, Jia Yan used a peculiar step that, although not visibly fast, dodged the attack in an instant.

“What?”

“Even this can be avoided, did he deliberately let the attack get close before dodging?”

“So pretentious, too pretentious! An ordinary creature acting so arrogantly, is there no principle left in this world?”

The soldiers and contestants were all animated.

Honestly, in their view, Jia Yan’s movements weren’t strong, but since he’s just an ordinary creature, doing this was beyond their imagination.

“Why do I feel that, even if it were me avoiding the attack, as an Earth Level creature, I wouldn’t be able to dodge that blow in such a short time? Could he be stronger than me? Impossible.”

Among the soldiers by the field, several were amazed by Jia Yan’s combat abilities.

That dodge, although not displaying any fearsome speed, showcased the exquisite and terrifying nature of Jia Yan’s evasion.

Some soldiers even thought that they couldn’t replicate Jia Yan’s dodge.

Of course, even if some Earth Level soldiers thought this, they wouldn’t voice it, because admitting so would mean acknowledging that they couldn’t even outdo an ordinary creature in terms of evasion.

“You’re incredible!”

The metal creature, seeing Jia Yan narrowly avoid its strike, was also surprised.

If Jia Yan had dodged as soon as the attack launched, it wouldn’t be so shocking. But Jia Yan intentionally waited until the attack was in front of him, when it seemed the hit was inevitable, and deftly dodged it.

How could that not astonish him?

Jia Yan himself wasn’t going to feel proud or have any other emotions simply because of such a simple compliment. After all, his true body’s strength is that of a Stellar Level expert. If he got delighted just because of awe from some creatures not even at Secondary Level, he could never have reached his current level!

“Oh, the body looks peculiar, yet the attack methods are merely ordinary biological forms. I thought a creature like this would employ some unusual attack methods.”

Jia Yan helplessly shook his head, feeling he had expected too much.

Creatures that evolve to a certain extent are like knowledge; ultimately, they revolve around a single aspect. Like the strongman system, at least within the Milky Way, regardless of the strength differences, it’s unlikely to transcend the current system.

Because this is the structure of the Universe. Extending further, it’s because everyone exists within the same Star River environment, eventually becoming the same face; it’s normal.

Even if the metal lifeform appears peculiar, it also follows this basic rule.

With a long sigh, Jia Yan estimated that within the Milky Way, he wouldn’t encounter any unique creature.

“Die!”

The metal creature interpreted Jia Yan’s sigh as looking down upon it, erupted in rage, and launched another strike towards Jia Yan’s position.

Its foot was extremely hard. Even though it was still an ordinary creature, its surface metal wasn’t fake; compared to typical metals, it wasn’t much weaker.

However, no matter how hard or powerful, without hitting the target, it’s futile.

As the attack reached Jia Yan’s vicinity, Jia Yan had already leapt up.

He still had his hands behind his back, jumping to just about his height, coming barely up to the height of the creature’s eyes.

Then he lightly tapped his toes on the metal creature’s eye.

“Ah!”

The opponent’s eye was instantly injured, letting out a wail, ceasing its attack.

Jia Yan didn’t stop his movements; having understood the odd creature’s features, he wouldn’t linger too long with such an ordinary being.

Just after one foot kicked the creature, his other foot landed on its head, and upon rebounding, used his toes as a weapon to penetrate the soft tissue at the creature’s neck!

Puff!

The metal creature seemed to have lost all signs of life, directly falling to the ground.

“What? It was solved just like that?”

“I didn’t even see what happened with that kick. Does anyone know what happened?”

The soldiers saw Jia Yan effortlessly knock the metal creature down, each showing serious and astonished expressions.

You have to understand this is just an ordinary creature, yet his battle left a group of soldiers above Earth level completely baffled, showing how shocking Jia Yan’s sequence of battles can be.

“This one called Jia Yan, he’s from the Fifth Satellite, right? See if there’s a way to recruit him to our Stationed Troops Star; he’s definitely a talent.”

A Secondary Level creature at the scene watched Jia Yan’s battle process, eyes completely filled with admiration for talent.

Ordinarily, an ordinary creature would not attract the attention of a dignified Secondary Level creature, yet this Secondary Level creature developed a fondness for Jia Yan — a testament to the impact Jia Yan’s battle had on him.

Of course, he wants Jia Yan to come not to fight on the battlefield, as even for a remarkable ordinary creature, he is still too fragile under the suppression of absolute power. He wants Jia Yan to come to see if he can help soldiers improve their combat techniques, potentially a good direction for the future strengthening of the entire Stationed Troops Star.

However, as he was thinking about so many future matters, he heard the soldiers around him shouting loudly again.

“Damn, this Jia Yan is so pretentious, still fighting with his hands behind his back, why? Isn’t it just combat against an ordinary creature? If it were me, I could win without using my feet against an ordinary creature.”

“I can see it now, this guy is just a master of showing off, winning a fight with an ordinary creature with hands behind his back is nothing, if he’s got guts, he should win against an Earth-level opponent, damn, what’s he showing off against an ordinary creature.”

Soldiers seemed stimulated, looking at Jia Yan who finished the fight with hands still behind his back, almost roaring.

This was the first time that soldiers cheered against their own contestant.

“This Jia Yan certainly has a personality that’s too… how to say, showing off? But since he arrived, he hasn’t said a single word, well, maybe he’s just independent in his actions.”

The Secondary Level, who just looked favorably upon Jia Yan, suddenly smiled bitterly, thinking that recruiting this ordinary creature might not be the right decision, for an ordinary creature arriving at a Stationed Troops Star, where the lowest layer is Earth-level creatures, if he continues showing off, he might get beaten in a few days.

Yet it seemed Jia Yan heard the soldiers’ noise, when he returned to the sidelines, he made a request to the Secondary Level contestant that completely shocked him!

“What? You want to participate in the Earth-level competition, uh… Jia Yan, Earth-level strength is far above ordinary creatures, don’t be too confident.”

The Secondary Level creature was completely displeased; this Jia Yan was really too much. Being so flashy on the field was enough, but now he still wanted to show off.

“Heh, Captain my Lord, I say let’s let him try, coincidentally we are one short in the Earth-level opponent field, they often criticize us for it, now with a contestant, wouldn’t it be a good thing too.”

“I think it’s feasible too, since this guy believes he can battle Earth-level opponents, let him try, after all if he dies it’s not our problem.”

Several Earth-level creatures, after hearing Jia Yan’s request, showed angry expressions and unexpectedly spoke up for Jia Yan.

Their intention, naturally, was to see this one daring to look down on Earth-level creatures, face a powerful opponent in Earth-level and then directly meet demise!

After all, any Earth-level contestant seeing the White Seed Star actually send an ordinary creature to face them would surely be furious.

“Alright, I’ll discuss it with the Lord.”

The Secondary Level saw the Earth-level contestant creatures all requested like this, even the Star Space Level expert wanted to see Jia Yan fight Earth-level, and reluctantly agreed.

Actually, he himself also had doubts on whether Jia Yan could fight an Earth-level opponent; if there truly was an ordinary creature able to battle Earth-level, wouldn’t it mean they had discovered a genius capable of overcrossing levels?

“Maybe this is what Jia Yan wants to express? That he is a genius!” The Secondary Level creature suddenly thought of this possibility.

Of course, what Jia Yan truly was thinking wasn’t something these soldier creatures could understand.

“My request now isn’t nonsense, but during my fight earlier, it seemed that Stellar Level from above kept too much sight on me…”

Jia Yan’s gaze subtly lifted to the sky above.

In the azure sky, faintly there was a gaze, distantly reflecting down, looking at the current Jia Yan’s avatar.

“Heh, could it be that they’ve already noticed something peculiar about my avatar?”

Jia Yan thought about it, then subtly smiled.

“Since he wants to watch, let’s let him watch enough… but at the same time…” Jia Yan smiled.

“My true body will also move closer to observe you!”
