Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 849: Chapter 22 Kama’s Request [Subscribe Requested]_2

”Right! The Kuditian camp-level spaceship!” Jia Yan finally realized.

”Stop looking, they passed through the encirclement of the fleet before we took off. Those battleships seem to have no interest in them, they’re just blocking us. So they’re in no danger at all. They’re not far ahead of us,” Kama pointed at a large bright spot on the screen.

Jia Yan nodded.

The two didn’t speak for a while. Kama continued to operate the flyer, and Jia Yan didn’t ask her to step down. Instead, he took this opportunity to observe the woman.

She was incredibly skilled at piloting. Without extensive training, it was impossible to reach that level of proficiency.

Jia Yan shrewdly noticed that in this moment, Kama had an excellent synergy with his flyer, a synergy that might not exist if she operated someone else’s flyer.

Once again, they fell silent. The battleships behind them were basically impossible to chase them down now.

The scenery on the monitor was completely that of the starry sky; it was all pitch black, a vast and boundless universe, with no end in sight even at such high speeds.

The universe is such that distance is always a despairingly vast thing.

”Alright, tell me about your situation,” Jia Yan said indifferently.

Kama continued to operate the flyer but kept silent for a moment before sighing softly.

”I come from the Northern Star Domain, the same place as this flyer. And if we really need to trace it back, I and those Kuditian people in front are actually from the same species. But our species is called the Bella clan.”

As the flyer continued to approach the Kuditian spaceship ahead, Kama shared her past with Jia Yan during this time.

Actually, her story wasn’t complicated—at least, it was much simpler compared to Jia Yan’s life experiences.

The Kudi Tan Tribe, as well as the Bella clan, seemed to be species unwelcome in this part of space; both sharing the same ancestor and rooted here for hundreds of thousands of years, but they could never truly integrate.

Their history of oppression could even be traced back to when they first arrived in this starfield.

However, compared to the fall of the Kudi Tan Tribe, the Bella clan had fared better in the Northern Star Domain. Of the dozen or so small countries there, about half were established by the Bella clan.

Kama came from a small country, which had changed a little over a year ago.

A year ago, there was a mutation in the Royal Family, and the entire country fell into turmoil. Kama’s family was affected, and the family was dispersed. How many survived, Kama herself did not know.

”Lord Jia Yan, this flyer was an important possession of my uncle, who passed away. Then it was purchased by the people from Tianlong Star. I hope that you can return it to me. I will definitely find a way to repay you in the future. Is that okay?”

Kama finished telling her story and asked Jia Yan earnestly.

Jia Yan looked at the woman. There was a hint of confusion in his Compound Eyes.

He found many doubts in Kama’s words—not about her description of the Bella clan, but doubts about Kama’s self-proclaimed identity as the ’daughter of a wealthy commoner family’.

Even the claim that her family was once a well-off merchant family seemed untrustworthy to Jia Yan.

The words she spoke and the dignity she displayed all didn’t seem so straightforward.

But whatever her identity was, Jia Yan didn’t care!

Because no matter what it was, Jia Yan would not hand over the flyer, which seemed to be somewhat special.

After all, it had just evaded the pursuit of more than a dozen battleships. Although it relied more on Kama’s piloting skills, Jia Yan believed that if he practiced more, he might also possess such skills.

So no matter what she said, Jia Yan would definitely not hand over the flyer!

”Miss Kama...” After listening to everything, Jia Yan organized his words. He wasn’t planning anymore to question her identity but simply stated,

”I deeply sympathize with your family’s misfortunes. However, it is absolutely impossible to give you the flyer because you’ve also seen how useful it is to me.”

Upon hearing Jia Yan’s words, Kama’s eyes showed a look of despair.

But Jia Yan’s words were not finished. After saying this, he continued, ”But you have another option, to relatively own it. Miss Kama, I would like to invite you to be my exclusive pilot and become a member of my fleet. What do you say?”

Jia Yan’s Compound Eyes glittered.

In that moment, he had an idea and brought up this condition. After all, this woman was not only an extremely talented pilot but also seemed to have some experience in the Northern Star Domain. In fact, Jia Yan was about to undertake an even bigger move in this starfield, and once that was done, he might have no place here at all. At that time, he wanted to go to the seemingly chaotic Northern Star Domain and having someone familiar with that area as a guide would be extremely convenient.

Moreover, she had a mighty cosmic flying skill, which would significantly increase Jia Yan’s safety!
