Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 811: Chapter 9 You Are Qualified to Be a Servant Now! [Subscribe Please]_3

Flying in the sky, Jia Yan didn’t sense Harrora’s concern; at this moment, he was merely flying behind that ten-meter creature.

Though he had been humiliated by this creature on several occasions, Jia Yan felt no more than a slight displeasure at this time, without a trace of emotion.

Because he was not an unintelligent being, he understood very well why the other party acted this way. This monster was definitely related to the so-called ’servants’ behind Kaz.

Whether or not ’Lord Xingrong’ backed the creature remained unknown.

”Lord, may I ask your honorable name?” After some thought, Jia Yan took the initiative to ask.

”My honorable name, how dare you inquire! Just follow me,” the creature retorted coldly.

Jia Yan’s words were stifled, and the anger in his heart became hard to contain.

It was confounding that he, having reached such strength, had to endure humiliation in front of a being not even of the starry sky level, especially after a rebirth where his journey, though not always smooth, had never involved such degradation. His path had been one of strength, sweeping through the heavens and earth.

Still, Jia Yan reminded himself to endure.

The creature, seeing Jia Yan’s submissive demeanor, began to misunderstand.

”That’s more like it. I know you want to appear as a master in front of those storehouse Tanium people, but do you know who I am? Offending me while trying to impress them will definitely bring you trouble in the future. Kid, I heard you just arrived on the Tianlong Star, right? Learn to be wise, some people can be offended, others cannot. Do you understand?”

Apparently, the creature thought Jia Yan’s previous behavior was an act for those from the storehouses.

A streak of light flashed in Jia Yan’s compound eyes, but he remained still and responded with a steady tone.

”Yes, I understand, Lord!”

He lowered his stance.

After all, a small concession in words was no real loss. Jia Yan would make a mental note of this creature.

”Alright, I also heard you’ve been scavenging in the forest lately. How were the gains? Unlike you, we servants don’t have such opportunities in the Dragon Realm, spending our days serving the Lords, with no chance for such fortune,” said the creature as Jia Yan continued to lower his stance.

Jia Yan was taken aback, somewhat grasping the implication, but he did not accept the creature’s insinuation.

”Lord jests. Those were simply gifts from the species in the forest, hardly worth any money,” he replied.

There was no monetary system on this planet. Instead, various currencies from nearby starfields were used, with the currency of the Rotz Empire being the most popular. Thus, there was indeed a concept of money here.

Seeing that Jia Yan still didn’t get it, or pretended not to understand, the creature made things clearer.

”Heh, such behavior is incorrect! You should know, accepting bribes before even becoming a Lord will not sit well with the Dragon Strong. However, if you hand over a portion of your recently acquired wealth, there might be room for negotiation. What do you think?”

There was a vindictive undertone in the creature’s words.

Jia Yan, noting the creature’s true colors, had a chill in his response.

”Lord, as I said, those things aren’t worth any money. If you truly doubt me, I can give you a portion right now!”

As soon as he finished speaking, out from Jia Yan’s Armor flew a small bottle filled with a liquid substance, intended for emergency uses, and not of significant value to beings unable to directly absorb energy.

”You!” The creature abruptly showed true anger, stopping in mid-air and turning to look back at Jia Yan.

Jia Yan, devoid of any fear, simply looked at the creature.

”Very well. I will remember you. Lu Beici was right; you truly are a foolhardy youth. Go on to the Dragon Realm, and you shall learn what happens to those who offend us.”

The creature flew ahead, and this time, as if intending to embarrass Jia Yan, increased its speed.

To its surprise, Jia Yan was able to keep up, maintaining a consistent distance without falling behind.

”Fine. I am not a combat servant. Once we reach that place, our time will come. Let’s see how you deal with the rest of my companions!”

This creature, casting a cold glance back at Jia Yan, gave up on accelerating further and continued flying forward at a terrifying speed.

Jia Yan followed, eyeing the wide back of the creature before him, occasionally, a glint of sharp light flickering in his gaze.

They moved incredibly fast, with layers of mountains and expanses of forest swiftly passing beneath them.

Jia Yan realized the section of the forest he occupied was but a tiny area on this planet.

Other forests housed their so-called Lords, and the vast oceans teemed with powerful creatures making their home there.

Yet as they longed to attack the carefree creatures flying overhead, these beings, upon seeing the leader, each revealed a look of shock and hastily adopted a respectful demeanor.

Through this, Jia Yan understood that these so-called ’servants’ wielded tremendous power within the planet.

Of course, he felt no fear, for Jia Yan knew he was not on the same level as these so-called servants and Lords.

He now knew none amongst the servants and Lords was of the starry sky level.

Thoughts churned within Jia Yan, but as he returned to the present, a vast cityscape loomed into view - an immense and advanced alien city!
