Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Jia Yan stepped on the snow, a thread of icy cold gradually spreading from his feet to his body. However, such a change in temperature was no longer a problem for him now.

He simply crouched near the camp, doing his best to observe the movements there.

After all, this place was an important mining area, it surely wouldn’t be as simple as it seemed.

However, through his Brainwave Power and Mosquito’s Heat Detection Ability, Jia Yan only spotted some miners who were not very powerful.

After some thought, Jia Yan decidedly circumvented the camp area.

”Thinking about it, although Tianlong Star also has its undercurrents, the surface is guarded by powerful Dragon Strong and Space Mercenaries. Such attacks on large mining areas probably don’t happen often!”

Jia Yan felt relieved by the lax security of the camp.

After bypassing two camps, he finally found a crevice and squeezed his body to the edge of the volcano.

The mouth of the volcano in the black night resembled a black hole, pitch dark without even a spark of magma visible.

Yet, Jia Yan was not disappointed, but rather, after a gentle probe with his Brainwave Power, a surprise filled his heart!

Below, the magma pool was very deep, likely suited to the mining needs here, supporting a small architectural complex built within the crater.

In his Brainwave Power, the complex housed an enormous quantity of Fire Energy Ore!

”Eh... what is this?” Suddenly, Jia Yan’s Brainwave Power trembled.

He felt a very powerful energy fluctuation silently sleeping below.

This energy fluctuation was deep and immense, each rise and fall nearly earth-shattering!

Starry Sky Level!

Jia Yan gasped and hastily withdrew his Brainwave Power.

Fortunately, the other party did not seem to detect his probe too sensitively. After observing for a long while, Jia Yan confirmed that this terrifying presence seemed to be in some abnormal state which finally put his mind at ease!

”What to do!? There’s actually a Starry Sky Level being here. Based on the power classification of this Starry Sky, my current combat power is absolutely no match!”

Jia Yan’s expression darkened slightly; having come all the way to this volcano, he was not willing to just stop here!

Moreover, he discovered that there were actually a pre-built small architectural complex inside the volcano crater, looking rather like a simple factory that directly transported various Volcanic Ores up.

Such a ready-made opportunity would be a tremendous waste if he couldn’t seize it!

Jia Yan knew that Small Fire Energy Mountain was his only chance now. Over at Big Fire Energy Mountain, the security was more than double or triple stronger; he absolutely could not get close to the volcano mouth there.

”This Starry Sky Level seems a bit off. Although still a Starry Sky Level, it appears to have suffered some energy damage, just like me. Could it be... this is also a creature that has lost a lot of energy and relies on Fire Energy to recover its strength, hence it’s resting here?”

Thinking this, Jia Yan once again quietly released his Brainwave Power.

The other party probably never imagined that in this Volcano land there would be a powerful being sneakily probing him, so his vigilance was not high.

He was merely lying there, sprawled over a large heat source, slowly absorbing the power of Flames.

The energy released around him was distinctly perceptible; although he was a Starry Sky Level, his energy had indeed suffered extreme losses, much better than Jia Yan’s dire state, yet barely maintaining the Starry Sky Level!

”I guessed it right. The individual is an injured Starry Sky Level. And now, they’re entirely focused on absorbing the Fire Energy’s power, so their guard is at its lowest!”

A hint of sharpness flickered in Compound Eyes of Jia Yan.

”If I just give up now, who knows how long it will be before he recovers energy and leaves. Attacking now while he hasn’t recovered much is the better move!”

Jia Yan knew that for non-Evolving Beast creatures, their energy absorption wasn’t very efficient; their recovery could take a year, two years, or even more than ten years!

Jia Yan couldn’t wait that long, especially since he didn’t know what changes might occur to Small Fire Energy Mountain in the meantime. Maybe the city would suddenly increase the defense level of Fire Energy Mountain, and next time he would have no chance to approach discreetly anymore!

”Let’s do it! Seeing how engrossed he is, as long as I don’t make too much noise, he likely won’t notice!”

Jia Yan made up his mind.

He looked around and noticed that in the night, there weren’t many creatures moving about; the low yield of Small Fire Energy Mountain made this area rather desolate.

Desolation was exactly what Jia Yan needed!

Utilizing the cover of night, he gently wrapped himself in Brainwave Power and floated towards the sky, descending downwards!

The two-kilometer wide volcano mouth, like a monstrous beast’s maw, quietly devoured Jia Yan, this black creature, then his traces were seen no more!

Jia Yan descended quickly, feeling somewhat nervous. After all, Big Mosquito had previously operated without much consideration in battles and missions, and he had mostly encountered opponents and situations that he could match in ability. Now that he had come to this part of the Starry Sky and realized he wasn’t among the top power holders, he had become much more cautious, a change that was quite unaccustomed for Big Mosquito!
