”All right, if you have any wise thoughts you’d like to share with me, that’s fine, but if you’re thinking of robbing me, I’d advise against it!” Jia Yan looked at the other party, his compound eyes shining brightly.

The large bird monster felt a chilling sensation under Jia Yan’s intense gaze.

”What’s happening? Isn’t this guy supposed to be a newly appointed lord? Lord Lu Beici told me through mental messaging that his power wasn’t strong, so why do I feel this way?”

The bizarre bird was somewhat puzzled, but he did not retreat in the slightest.

After all, he is the second most powerful lord under Lord Xingrong’s command! Even compared to the first strong one, a life-and-death battle may not determine a clear winner!

And he was confident that he could easily defeat Lord Lu Beici, even enough to preserve his life against a Star Space Level being.

”You stubborn boy, won’t give in, huh? It looks like I need to teach you a lesson, or else you won’t realize the might of the second most powerful lord under Lord Xingrong!”

The monster bird’s variegated feathers flashed, causing Jia Yan’s vision to blur momentarily.

The next moment, the creature’s body suddenly moved in the air!

Jia Yan’s eyes hadn’t yet adjusted when he sensed danger approaching from the right side of his body.

In that instant, his compound eyes showed some surprise. This was the first time he noticed someone at the Sky Level with such speed, himself excluded, of course.

However, his surprise did not affect his movements. Instead, at that moment, he suddenly moved!

With a flash, his body shifted twenty meters without even flapping his wings, using Brainwave Power to gently move.

When he reached twenty meters, his Brainwave Power disengaged, and his body seemed to halt instantly. To an unknowing observer, it would appear as though he had always been standing there, without ever having moved.

But in reality, Jia Yan had moved.

The large bird monster had just reached where Jia Yan had been, its sharp beak striking out!

”Huh?!” As it struck, it was suddenly baffled.

In front of it, the giant monster clad in metal armor had vanished, without it noticing anything.

”Over there!” Then, its eyes flickered, spotting Jia Yan’s body within twenty meters!

This monster was indeed a being with formidable combat power. Its claw slid sideways through the air, causing a violent sonic boom. The sharp claw reached out towards the area where Jia Yan was!

”Still coming? Overestimating your capabilities!”

At that moment, Jia Yan burst out with a voice tinged with a hint of anger!

Since arriving on this planet, he felt constantly challenged by those at the Sky Level. As a Star Space Level being, even with diminished power, he felt a surge of rage!

However, since the opponent was also a lord, he didn’t know if a lord-versus-lord fight could result in death, or even serious injury, because the opponent’s attacks lacked lethal intent. Hence, he used only moderate attack power.

Just as the variegated bird’s wing attack approached!

Jia Yan’s wings, previously held behind his back, suddenly moved!

Smack!

The wings, moving at an incredible speed, struck the opposing claw and directly sent it flying!

Even the variegated bird was sent flying by this attack.

It violently crashed to the ground, creating a massive hole that split the terrain of half desert and half forest.

A huge shockwave spread across the sky, dust filling the air.

Suddenly, there was silence below.

Jia Yan just looked down calmly, aware that the opponent was neither so easily killed nor seriously injured.

”You!”

Sure enough, while Jia Yan waited, a sharp sound erupted.

A variegated body awkwardly soared into the sky, quickly positioning itself opposite Jia Yan!

The variegated bird seemed slightly injured, but it wasn’t serious. Instead, one could feel its anger just by looking at its avian face.

”Perhaps you should refrain from taking action. You must understand the gap between us,” Jia Yan said calmly.

The large bird wanted to act, but recalling how Mosquito had effortlessly sent him flying, he hesitantly abandoned the thought.

”Very well, you are now the first... no, even the first one couldn’t defeat you, the first among the strong under Lord Xingrong! Since you are so powerful, you probably don’t need my counsel. I have matters to attend to, so I will take my leave!”

Saying this bitterly, the large bird lifted into the air to leave.

But before he could get far, Jia Yan’s massive body moved!

Whoosh whoosh whoosh!!!

As the big bird spread its wings, it felt a fierce wind, and by the time it regained its senses, a figure clad in black armor was already before it!

”What are you trying to do?! Hit me? The lord’s agreement clearly states that lords may not harm each other. The previous action could still be interpreted as a friendly contest, but if you intend to strike me, just wait for the punishment from the Celestial Dragon Domain!” the large bird yelled out anxiously yet warily at Jia Yan.

It had thought its speed was unrivaled among all the subordinates of Lord Xingrong, but now it seemed that this newly appeared lord monster was incomprehensibly faster!
