By chance, the eyes of the cloaked Strong One also looked over, clearly carrying a tinge of anger.

Their gazes met in mid-air, as if sparks were flying.

...

Shortly after, a massive figure slowly left the area.

Several monsters followed him, one of which was not particularly large but had a strange face with a long nose, resembling an elephant, and it moved with a thunderous momentum.

He was indeed the elephant-nose monster who had been hosting the auction earlier.

Perhaps because the auction house really had no more popular appeal, he, along with other monsters, was now joining Jia Yan to negotiate and complete the transaction.

”Lord, you need to provide a form of identity verification. We’ll cover the electronic transaction fee at the auction house.”

The elephant-nose monster seemed quite knowledgeable about the transaction, hence he took on the role of explainer.

The largest of the monsters was naturally Jia Yan himself, who, at this time was listening to the monsters’ explanations and occasionally nodding, seemingly in agreement with what they were saying.

”Oh, your identity is a Lord under Lord Xingrong? It’s a pleasure to meet you. In that case, the procedure is even simpler, given that you are indeed a Lord.”

When it was revealed that Jia Yan was actually a Lord under a Dragon Strong of the neighboring area, the elephant-nose monster became considerably more respectful.

Jia Yan casually chatted in response to their words.

He noticed that the cloaked Strong One in the back of the crowd seemed to be following them.

From their earlier eye contact, he had sensed that this fellow was quite interested in the flyer he had bid on.

But whatever was said, it was useless now. Since Jia Yan had spent a significant amount of money to win it, the flyer was now his, and anyone scheming otherwise was welcome to try!

The group arrived near the city edge after passing through several layers of checks.

After all, the night was still when city security could be most problematic, even in an Alien area, as Jia Yan discovered that this city was particularly mindful about security.

However, they encountered little resistance and reached the docking port for flyers arranged by Fire Energy City.

It was a vast territory, with countless flyers and aerospace ships docked there. Jia Yan even noticed a few ships behind a row of tall walls that looked exactly like the ’Space Battleships’ he had read about in the Starry Sky network!

These few battleships captured Jia Yan’s gaze intensely for a while.

”It seems that the battleships here are clearly much more powerful than those in the Orion Arm. If I rashly confronted them, it would likely be more perilous than advantageous.”

Jia Yan withdrew his gaze. In fact, buying this flyer was not a whim, but a fervent desire after learning from the previous individuals at the Depths that in this vast Starfield, most Strong Ones possessed a powerful flyer, even battleships.

Since even typical Strong Ones, though capable of resisting battleships, could never match the speed of a flyer. Of course, Jia Yan was still unaware of the Stellar level—whether those experts had something different. Hence he could not make a definitive statement on that.

Today, encountering such a reasonably priced flyer – one might even say it was practically given away – Jia Yan naturally used his scarce funds to purchase it.

”Actually, a basic Strong Flyer usually starts at at least a million. If it’s a battleship that one person can operate, it costs even more than several million. This thing I bought for three hundred thousand had better not be junk...”

Considering these thoughts, Jia Yan had no high expectations for his purchase; after all, at that price range, procuring a functioning vehicle for short trips was already good enough, not to mention the space transfer feature; even if it were functional, Jia Yan wouldn’t dare use it yet!

In the whole city, the fact that the Starry Sky Level Experts didn’t need this flyer definitely wasn’t without reason.

”Lord, we’ve arrived.”

After walking a long distance in the docking port to a very secluded area, the elephant-nose monster finally spoke.

Jia Yan didn’t need them to say it; he had already seen it.

But that one look was significant, as Jia Yan immediately felt somewhat stunned.

The flyer in front of him did indeed resemble the model, with a length of about two hundred meters. Jia Yan could still squeeze in and use it as a medium-short distance commuter.

The problem was, its appearance was utterly different from the pristine and shiny look of the model.

The flyer had some rust spots and was marred throughout, and it looked like the outer shell might even be peeling paint.

”Is this the flyer I bought?” Jia Yan asked somewhat bewilderedly.

”Well... Lord, as I mentioned, it’s second-hand. And don’t go by its looks; the interior is absolutely different,” said the elephant-nose monster, somewhat sheepishly.

In fact, he also wanted to explain that the auction house had wanted to renovate this flyer, but they discovered that the flyer’s materials were very special, and they couldn’t find them on Tianlong Star, so they were unable to start the renovations.

The appearance of this flyer was also a critical reason why it hadn’t sold. After all, most Starry Sky Level Experts already owned flyers. Even for those who didn’t, would they choose such a flyer as their primary vehicle? They couldn’t risk the embarrassment.
