Charm point maxed out, inheriting game assets

Chapter 1650: Chapter 574: Fame Shakes Xiang River (2_3)

”Confluent Capital?” Zhou Wei slightly raised his eyebrows, ”Is that the one that led Ruide Biology’s Pre-B round in March?”

”Yes, you are indeed well-informed.”

Ji Yingying conveniently added, ”President Zhou is a partner at Huayin Capital and is also a member of the investment decision committee. Our Zhifang Medical’s Pre-IPO round included participation from Huayin.”

Hearing this, Bai Menglin’s expression slightly changed, a bit more respect in her eyes.

”Miss Shen, what is your position at Rongliu?” Zhou Wei continued to ask.

”Chairman’s assistant.” Shen Yuyan took out a business card from her bag and handed it over, her tone gentle, ”Currently responsible for investment research and project liaison in the AI field. I hope to have the opportunity to consult with you in the future.”

Zhou Wei took the business card, glanced at it, and casually said, ”Not bad, AI is quite popular now. Rongliu’s judgment in this direction is fairly advanced.”

The two of them exchanged a few words on industry topics, with Zhou Wei’s attitude being gentle and friendly, seeming to have a good impression of her.

Subsequently, the three of them were brought into a circle by Zhou Wei.

They were joined by VPs from top foreign investment banks, as well as senior investment managers from several leading private equity firms.

The topics discussed ranged from macroeconomic policy to Singapore REIT funds, from LP funding preferences to overseas FOF trends, all cutting-edge information.

Bai Menglin listened attentively, her expression slightly lifted, trying hard to keep up with the pace, occasionally nodding in response, appearing particularly earnest.

Shen Yuyan observed quietly, spoke cautiously, and maintained a smile.

On the observation terrace, the crowd moved back and forth, with various small circles densely interwoven, conversations rising and falling.

With her excellent communication skills, Shen Yuyan moved through the scene, exchanging business cards with many people.

Most people, out of courtesy, still spoke with a tone of distant detachment.

However, a few gentlemen were particularly enthusiastic and proactive towards her, but she could see at a glance that their interest was not in her professional background, but in her ”external value.”

Amid it all.

Shen Yuyan felt powerless.

Once again feeling her own insignificance.

In Yan City, just mentioning the name Rongliu Capital would definitely make people look at you with new esteem.

But in the entire Hong Kong financial circle, it might be somewhat renowned in certain vertical industries but is far from making people ”look at you with new esteem.”

She stood quietly at the railing, colorful with lights, her gaze sweeping over the night view of Victoria Harbour, landing on that familiar building in the distance—38th floor of the IFC phase 2.

ε=(´ο｀*))) Sigh

This is Hong Kong.

My dear President Tang, as your assistant, if I don’t have any status, you really need to work harder!

”Yuyan.” Bai Menglin’s voice rang.

Shen Yuyan quickly gathered her emotions, raised a faint smile, and lifted the whiskey in her hand.

”Ding—” The glasses clinked lightly, crisp and pleasant.

Shen Yuyan smiled and said, ”In the Hong Kong financial circle, most good opportunities rely on internal referrals and recommendations, so occasions like this are indeed meaningful. It’s always good to know more people.”

Bai Menglin nodded, but her expression seemed somewhat hesitant.

She hesitated for a moment before finally saying in a low voice, ”Regarding your previous invitation, I’ve actually thought about it for an entire day and feel it’s best to be honest with you.”

”Hmm.” Shen Yuyan nodded calmly, ”It’s okay, go ahead.”

She had already guessed vaguely what the other might want to say.

Bai Menglin pursed her lips, deliberated on her words, and was about to speak.

At that moment—

A sudden exclamation erupted from the edge of the terrace.

”Holy—sh*t!”

”Oh my gosh! Check out the news!!”

The exclamations came from three white men in the corner, all staring down at their phones, looking shocked.

All around, people who were engaged in orderly conversations suddenly turned their attention to them.

In twos and threes, people lowered their heads to check their phones.

A moment later, a wave of astonished chatter instantly flooded over the terrace’s quiet.

”Kate Trust and Tangjin Capital Office? They actually teamed up?”

”10 billion US Dollars! My God!”

”Something big is about to happen! This is absolutely a nuclear-level signal that will draw global capital to reassess the Asian market!”

”Confluent Capital?!!”

”Rongliu Capital? Whose fund is this?!”

...

In this social field known for calm rationality, an unprecedentedly restless emotion spread, plunging everyone into excitement and fervor.

Soon after, a succession of astonished glances focused on Shen Yuyan, who stood in a corner at the edge.

Bai Menglin’s words were still caught in her throat.

Shen Yuyan stood there dazed, as if struck by the sudden clamor.

After a brief disorientation, she quickly came to, almost instinctively pulling out her phone.

As soon as she unlocked it, a stream of prominent news feeds flooded the screen.

LinkedIn, Bloomberg, Reuters, Hong Kong Economic Journal...

[Breaking News｜Kate Trust and Tangjin Capital Office join with Rongliu Capital to establish a billion-dollar mother fund]

[Imperial City Time October 28, 20:30, United States Eastern Time October 28, 08:30]

[Kate Trust and Tangjin Capital Office jointly held a press conference in New York announcing strategic cooperation with Hong Kong local private equity firm Rongliu Capital, intending to jointly establish a special mother fund with a total scale of 10 billion US Dollars (Fund of Funds)...]

With trembling fingertips, she repeatedly read the words ”Rongliu Capital” in the news.

An unnatural blush appeared on her face, and her breath became slightly rapid.

Rongliu Capital... received a 10 billion US Dollar fund investment?!!

Kate Trust? Tangjin Capital Office? Strategic cooperation?

What does this mean?

It means that Rongliu Capital’s asset management scale will break through existing boundaries overnight, directly leaping into the Top 15 local private equity firms in Hong Kong, entering the Top 30 mixed-strategy funds in Asia-Pacific.

It will fully eliminate the ambiguous boundaries of a ”medium-sized institution,” stepping into the core area of the global capital map, officially entering the ranks of global large private equity firms.

In contrast to the 12 billion US Dollars AUM, Rongliu Capital’s existing team can’t support this magnitude.

There will inevitably be poaching within the industry, expansion, realignment of organizational structure, and create unrest in the industry’s job market.

For the entire Hong Kong market, this is equally a momentous capital event.

The joint investment of two top financial groups is essentially a strategic endorsement, viewed as a further affirmation of Hong Kong’s status as an international financial center.

Especially after recent years of turmoil and Hong Kong stock market sluggishness, this is tantamount to a strong stimulus.

Such a significant piece of positive news is bound to cause dramatic fluctuations in the stock market and become the focal point of heated discussion.

Rongliu Capital, in one night, has become a renowned name in Hong Kong.

And at this very moment, she is standing at the forefront of this miracle.

Thinking this, Shen Yuyan’s scalp tingled, her spine heated, and her heart pounded like a drum.
