Charm point maxed out, inheriting game assets

Chapter 1635: Chapter 570: Who Will You Choose, Me or Su Yu? (Part 3)

Immediately, she sighed with a bitter smile and shook her head, ”The financial circle in Xiang River isn’t a place where you can climb up just by effort. It also takes resources, projects, even... fate. For people like us from small inland cities, with parents who are just ordinary folks, frankly, our starting point is too low.”

The VP (Vice President) at Guotai Junan International, which is a middle management position, isn’t really a senior executive role.

Even so, it’s the limit she can dream of.

The air was silent for a moment, as Shen Yuyan’s gaze stayed on her face for a while, and she suddenly spoke softly, ”Menglin, have you ever considered trying private equity?”

”Private equity?” Bai Menglin looked slightly surprised, ”I’ve tried applying to a few firms before, but frankly, the threshold for private equity is too high. Even for those managing billions of US dollars, the teams are extremely lean, and they barely recruit a few people a year. Either top headhunters want you, or it’s an internal recommendation. I simply don’t have the resources.”

Shen Yuyan nodded.

She was well aware of these things.

In fact, Rongliu Capital is a rather ”unique” private equity firm.

Though it only manages a fund size of 2.1 billion US dollars, which by industry standards is at most considered medium-sized, it operates multiple strategy funds.

The organizational structure is also unusually complex.

Almost every strategy is equipped with independent research and investment teams, strictly divided by industry.

Its management style is more like a large asset management platform.

Because of this, the company’s personnel configuration is unexpectedly ”bloated.”

In Yan City’s WFOE team alone, there are more than thirty people; while at headquarters here, the resident staff also exceeds thirty.

This personnel cost is already comparable to quite a few billion-dollar private equity firms.

It was precisely because she saw this clearly that Shen Yuyan was sure, Tang Song was obviously not planning to ”maintain the status quo,” but was preparing to go big.

The reason she thought of ”placing” Bai Menglin in advance was also based on this judgment.

Meanwhile, it’s the main reason she thinks Lin Muxue is a ”flower pillow.”

Being in the company for so long, yet knowing nothing, just asking how awesome our company is, how awesome President Tang is.

In the quiet small living room, silence lasted for a full minute.

It seemed as if the gloom brought by looking ahead to the future left Bai Menglin somewhat melancholy.

Shen Yuyan calmly looked at her, ”Menglin, what if there’s an opportunity now? Would you be willing to give it a try?”

Bai Menglin was taken aback, suddenly sat up straight and looked at Shen Yuyan, expression excited, ”Yuyan... do you have resources over there?”

She had always been smart and had known Shen Yuyan for many years, understanding almost instantly the undertone of her words.

Under her probing gaze, Shen Yuyan lightly nodded, her tone earnest, ”Although I’m still holding the position of Executive Director at Youjie Housekeeping, I actually don’t really manage things over there anymore. Right now, I’m working at a private equity fund company in Xiang River, serving as Chairman’s Special Assistant, at the director level. This time I’m here in Xiang River on a business trip, mainly to connect with the headquarters and the team.”

She paused, adding, ”To be honest, I could join this company because the chairman is my friend.”

Bai Menglin’s eyes widened, breathing slightly rapid, her gaze full of disbelief.

She never thought, this old classmate would give her such a surprise.

In the past, the title of ”Youjie Housekeeping” was actually not very significant to her.

After all, that company was just a small-scale enterprise with a valuation of about ten million, development potential extremely limited.

But Chairman’s Special Assistant at a private equity fund? And the headquarters is based in Xiang River? That is completely different.

She took a deep breath and softly confirmed, ”You mean... you’re trying to find me a position?”

Shen Yuyan nodded, looking directly into her eyes, ”If you’re interested, I can arrange for you to meet the core team. You have a master’s degree in finance, over two years of practical experience, and a local Xiang River practitioner license, your overall qualification is quite good.”

She paused and continued, ”As for salary, the annual salary can be at least 20% higher than your current one. The most crucial thing is, our year-end bonus and performance bonus ceiling is very high.”

”20%...” Bai Menglin’s eyes flickered.

”Yes.” Shen Yuyan nodded, ”Overall welfare benefits are definitely much more generous than your current unit. How about it, are you interested to give it a try?”

Bai Menglin lowered her head, pondered for a moment, then looked up at her, ”Yuyan, may I ask, what is your company’s name? How much is the AUM?”

Shen Yuyan hesitated slightly, then said, ”Rongliu Capital, AUM is currently 2.1 billion US dollars. It doesn’t sound particularly large, but it’s supported by Tang Jin Family Office and Kate Trust, and there will be continuous fundraising in the future. The chairman is very young but extremely ambitious... I believe Rongliu will definitely become a global-level private equity firm.”

”2.1 billion...” Bai Menglin repeated in a low voice, looking up, ”Then if I join, what level would the position be roughly?”

Shen Yuyan paused, her tone steady, ”You’ll start at a regular position, but there will soon be opportunities for promotion, and I will do my best to help you fight for that.”

Rongliu Capital has a strict salary structure system, even if she is the Chairman’s Special Assistant, she cannot break the rules.

She has always respected systems and authority, never easily making promises that cannot be fulfilled.

Of course, if Bai Menglin is willing to change jobs, she can privately communicate with Tang Song to strive for higher treatment and positions.

But the premise is that Bai Menglin will be sufficiently cooperative, so she herself can have the room to maneuver.

Upon hearing this, Bai Menglin was silent for a few seconds, then picked up her phone, opening the browser on the sofa, and quickly searching for information related to ”Rongliu Capital.”
