Chapter 1638: Chapter 571: Interview and Ascending Higher_2

”Oh?” Lin Muxue said with a faint smile, ”I’ve always thought so.”

”That’s good, looking forward to our next collaboration.”

o’clock sharp in the morning.

The two left the executive floor of the Four Seasons Hotel together, taking the exclusive elevator directly to the lobby on the first floor.

At the hotel’s entrance, one side offered views of Victoria Harbour, with the sea breeze brushing their faces; the other side was the passageway connecting to the second phase of the International Finance Center.

Being part of the IFC complex, there is a dedicated internal passageway from the Four Seasons Hotel, extremely convenient. This is the main reason they booked here.

The ”clack clack” sound of high heels on marble tiles was crisp and efficient.

At the other end of the passageway, the lights in the IFC mall were soft and the temperature pleasant, with glass display windows showcasing seasonal limited editions from brands like CHANEL, Valextra, and Brunello Cucinelli.

Lin Muxue casually introduced the design concepts and prices of luxury goods while walking, ”These shoes are a joint edition by Jimmy Choo and Xiang River designers, exclusively available at IFC... I just got this bag last night, you might have seen it...”

The tone was casual, yet with a natural sense of superiority.

Shen Yuyan listened with a smile, her pace unhurried, though her hand involuntarily clenched.

Soon, they arrived at the entrance of the IFC Phase II office building.

This is a skyscraper truly standing at the pinnacle of Asian finance, gathering the world’s top banks, hedge funds, and law firms.

The automatic doors opened, bringing with it a unique aura of finance.

The lobby was spotless, quiet, orderly, expensive.

Well-dressed men and women quietly lined up to swipe their cards to go upstairs, with a calm aura and restrained demeanor.

Standing in this space, both Lin Muxue and Shen Yuyan instinctively held their breath.

Trying to suppress their excitement and fascination.

Both simultaneously turned their heads, looked at each other, their eyes briefly meeting before quickly shifting away.

The atmosphere was inexplicably tacit and subtle.

Making both feel somewhat uneasy.

Shen Yuyan took a deep breath, first taking out the headquarters badge she received upon entry to pass through the gate.

Lin Muxue followed closely behind.

The elevator slowly ascended, with the mirrored walls reflecting two figures completely different in aura, yet equally elegant and bright.

”Ding——”

The elevator doors slowly opened.

An entire floor of floor-to-ceiling windows unfurled, bright sunshine streaming in, illuminating the company logo ahead.

[Confluent Capital]

The iconic infinity symbol (∞), composed of two abstract rivers intertwined, symbolizing the flow of capital and strategic loops, simple, modern, highly recognizable.

Behind the reception desk, two people had been waiting for some time.

Shen Yuyan immediately recognized them as two executives she’d seen in Shanghai—

Brand and Public Relations Director Zhang Weiran (Vivian), Operations Director Chen Qihang (Harlan).

Upon seeing them, the two quickly approached.

Shen Yuyan responded graciously, ”Good morning, Vivian, Harlan. This is Chief Assistant Luna.”

”Luna, Shirley, welcome to the headquarters.”

”Greetings.”

...

Lin Muxue’s expression tightened slightly.

She hadn’t expected Shen Yuyan to have already met with the headquarters people, and to seem quite familiar.

Truly ambitious! Intent on plotting against the Great Emperor!

But she didn’t show any emotion, instead smiling in response, steadily walking in the middle.

The Rongliu Capital headquarters office area formally opened up before them.

Deep gray sound-absorbing carpet, high-end furniture, Herman Miller custom office chairs, unique pantry,

perfectly fitting the style of a financial company.

The meeting area was located in the east wing, with each meeting room named after a ”river” from around the world.

Further inside was the executive office area and the Chairman’s office.

It’s worth mentioning that as assistants both to Tang Song, Shen Yuyan and Lin Muxue share an office at headquarters.

Adjacent to Tang Song’s office.

At 9:30, the meeting began on time.

Eleven headquarters executives were all present, the meeting room’s aura calm and restrained.

Harlan and Vivian conducted the report, introducing the core structure of the headquarters, current asset allocation, and future investment directions one by one.

Shen Yuyan sat upright, hands clasped on the table, focused.

Interacting with eye contact from the other side, mapping names and resumes in her mind.

Within Rongliu Capital, the hierarchy is very clear.

Analyst → Associate → Investment Manager → Director → Vice President → Managing Director.

The highest-ranking executive present was Vincent Wong (Wang Jiajun), the Vice President responsible for investments.

Formerly the head of strategic operations at Blackstone Asia, handling global LP relations and top-level strategic coordination.

Alice Li (Li Anlan), the Financial Director, a seasoned expert in finance and tax, former KPMG audit partner; Steven, Director of Investor Relations, former VP at Kate Fund...

These individuals are not just a collection of resumes, but truly the elite of the financial circles.

Their backgrounds, experiences, resumes, each one shining brightly.

In comparison, her and Lin Muxue’s resumes seemed particularly ordinary.

She was at least an executive director of a start-up company, barely presentable.

At least stronger than Lin Muxue.

Thinking of this, she slightly glanced sideways, her eye twitched.

This Vice President-level Chief Assistant, although seemingly sitting upright, her long legs were tightly clenched together with toes gently tapping, clearly excited.

”Such incompetence!” she grumbled inwardly.

Shen Yuyan also followed suit, clenching her legs.

In the heart of the International Finance Center, hearing billions of dollars in capital turnover, companies, cases, and projects she’d only seen in financial news before.

This was the world she once looked up to.

And now, she was a part of it.
