“Mhm, I’m going to Su Yu’s concert tonight. My boyfriend gave me the tickets.”

“Alright, thanks, Teacher Mengchu, you’ve worked hard.”

“Bye~, after you’re done with this training session, I’ll treat you to a big meal.”

The phone call ended.

Zhao Yaqian checked the time.

13:40.

The concert officially starts at 8 pm, with entry allowed 1-2 hours in advance. There’s still plenty of time.

“Thud thud thud—” Zhao Yaqian, wearing slippers, quickly moved to the east-facing bedroom.

She had arranged it as a half-study room.

Near the corner, there was a small solid wood bookcase, an adjustable desk, and an ergonomic chair.

Turning on the laptop, logging into WeChat, she started to carefully check the files sent by Teacher Zhang Mengchu.

After the initial confusion and distress, Zhao Yaqian began to search the internet for information on the current state and market development of the beauty industry, as well as future trends, albeit reluctantly.

However, this was clearly beyond her expertise; the more she read, the more confused she became.

In order to complete the task her boyfriend had given her and not let him down,

Zhao Yaqian reached out to the most authoritative person in her contacts.

As a teacher at Zhuoyue Vocational Training School, Zhang Mengchu had a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the market.

Upon hearing Zhao Yaqian’s request, she was very proactive and enthusiastic.

“In the niche market, the non-surgical light medical beauty segment is growing rapidly. The market size is expected to increase to 146.1 billion yuan in 2023, becoming a significant driving force in industry growth. Besides, comprehensive beauty SPA…”

3 o’clock in the afternoon.

“Qianqian! I’m back!” a familiar voice called from outside the door.

Zhao Yaqian yawned and rubbed her somewhat dizzy head, shouting, “Ting, I’m here!”

Then she stood up and walked towards the doorway.

She really didn’t like reading, especially such complicated market analysis. Her brain seemed to struggle with the complexity, and she had to keep looking up things she didn’t understand.

It seemed she would have to ask her cousin and Xue for help again.

Opening the bedroom door, she came face-to-face with He Liting, who dashed towards her.

“Our company gave us the afternoon off today, Qianqian, hurry up and start getting ready, do your makeup, get dressed. We’ll go downstairs for dinner at 5 pm, and then we can head out.”

“It’s only 3 pm now, leaving at 6 pm wouldn’t be too late, right? I want to sleep a bit more,” Zhao Yaqian yawned again.

“How can you still sleep at this time! We have VIP seats in the front of the inner field, very close to Su Yu! And today, the Olympic Sports Center will be super crowded; it’s better to go earlier just to be safe,” He Liting, not a fan herself, was easily swept up in her company’s festive atmosphere.

“Alright, then I’ll start doing my makeup.”

“Let’s do it together. Today’s a big day, and I want to use your premium makeup products. Surely the beautiful and kind-hearted Qianqian won’t refuse, right?”

“Hehe, Beauty Zhao would never refuse,” Zhao Yaqian said, playfully raising her fluffy eyebrows.

The two joked and laughed as they went to the makeup table in the master bedroom’s dressing room to get busy.

Half an hour later.

He Liting smoothed on her lipstick, turned around, and looked at her sexy and pretty cousin, thinking of the upcoming concert.

Hesitating for a moment, she said, “Qianqian, there’s something I have to tell you in advance. You should be prepared.”

“Ah? What is it?” Zhao Yaqian was curious.

He Liting bit her lip and said in a low voice, “Among the colleagues going to the concert, our company’s Vice President Gao Mengting will be there.”

“Gao Mengting… that’s Song’s business partner, right?”

“Mhm, that’s the one I’ve told you about. She and Tang Song are the same age, and she’s very beautiful. They have a very close relationship.”

After speaking, He Liting looked at her cousin with some concern.

The invitation Tang Song had given mostly had separate seating, but they were close enough to easily bump into each other.

Besides President Gao, there was also the rich and gorgeous woman they had encountered at the barbecue restaurant; it was unknown if she would attend tonight.

If they met, who knows what might happen.

Zhao Yaqian was silent for a moment then said, “Ting, when the time comes, don’t tell anyone that I’m Song’s girlfriend. Just say I’m your cousin.”

He Liting pursed her lips and nodded silently, unable to help but sigh.

Qianqian had indeed grown up and become more mature, understanding things without needing them spelled out clearly.

Zhao Yaqian quickly recovered her smile, spun around in front of the mirror and said playfully, “Ting, I think the wine-red hair I dyed yesterday looks gorgeous. Do you think Song will be captivated when he sees me?”

“Of course, he’ll be so charmed by the beautiful Qianqian that he’ll want to sweep you off your feet right there and then!”

“Hehe, Beauty Zhao is unmatched! Song loves me the most!” Zhao Yaqian winked at her reflection in the mirror.

“Dinglingling—” The cellphone rang.

Zhao Yaqian picked it up and smiled at He Liting, “It’s Xue; she must be done with work and is coming over, just in time for us to go to the concert together.”

…

Yan Jing Hua Ting, Building 1, large flat.

“Ding-dong— Ding-dong—” The doorbell rang.

The housekeeper hurried to check the screen and quickly opened the door, saying warmly, “Miss Qin, you’ve arrived. The young miss is waiting for you in the bedroom.”

“Mhm, thank you, Aunt Pei.” Qin Hua switched to disposable slippers and knocked on the bedroom door, “Jing, open up.”

After a while, the door lock clicked open, “You’re here.”

Qin Hua looked dubious, “Why did it take so long to open the door? You weren’t messing with something messy inside, were you?”
