Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3424 Chilling With The Mistress

Time passed, and he caught up with Jade Aurora during their tea time, knowing about what she did here.

It wasnʼt of much importance as it was no different than sect life, just a bit more difficult due to the apocalyptic situation they were enduring.

Davis also learned that the Jade Lotus Valleyʼs Immortal, Loraine, who came to pick them up, also died in the attack, so Jade Aurora was aggrieved and vengeful against the Northern Sphere Bandits and the Poison Haven.

Still, looking at Jade Aurora pouring her story unto him without holding back much, he wondered how much trust she had in him, and his wicked character popped up, wanting to know how far she would entrust herself to him, but he forcefully squashed it down with a wry smile.

”Jade, you lived a responsible life, and I know it is extremely constricting, so if you need any help after you save Ivy, just let me know. I am willing to help you just with our allied relationship. After all, I treat my allies like jade- oh, your name coincides with the saying haha. In any case, theyʼre precious to me as I choose them carefully. Theyʼre all trustable for the most part.”

”Thank you for your favor, Davis.”

Jade Aurora smiled brightly behind her veil, honored that he would be willing to trust her. She also warmed up to him during their tea time, being able to talk without much restraint.

”Then I must go. Or else, I might lose my footing here.”

She stood up and cupped her hands, ”Talking to you has made me renew my determination. Heroes do emerge from chaotic times, but you have shown me chaos such as yourself can also be a hero.”

”Aha. Me? Hero?”

Davis had a good laugh, but Jade Aurora only smiled and didnʼt provide an explanation. She cupped her hands again and left. However, her meaning was clear: he was her hero since he had saved her quite a few times.

He could only shake his head to that and turn to look at Natalya, who looked at him with an all-knowing gaze, which picked apart the smile from his face as he felt like he was caught lacking as he did enjoy the time he spent talking with Jade Aurora. She was eloquent and pleasant to be around, which involuntarily took his attention.

”So? Did you make contact with her?”

”Hmm. Not yet, but Iʼve made it to their bandit camp, and it is full of women. Although not as bad as a brothel, they sure wear some provocative clothing. Are you sure you want me to enter there?”

Davis raised his brows at Natalya as though challenging her bottom line, causing her to pout.

”Hmph~ Youʼre so naughty. I will go whine to big sister right now!~”

”You dare!?”

”Ah~”

Davis jumped on her, but she was like a serpent, easily twisting around before he could embrace her and fly away. He gave her chase and ended up on the bed, but they didnʼt do anything intimate and spent time talking about boring things and even the matters that he missed because he was away most of the time.

Like how Fiora visited a few times and tried to have Zephya befriend Iesha, but their personalities were so different that Iesha looked down on Zephya for being so sultry.

Like how Tanya visited with Pia Noel one time, and they all got along together, even joking when Pia would get with him when Pia Noel cried out that such a thing wouldnʼt happen.

In any case, Natalya tried to do many things that would make Iesha go out of her soul sea, but she seemed content within that space. It seemed that Iesha loved silence more than anything due to her nature as a Frigid World Ice Spirit, making Davis wonder if she had grown out of her young phase as he recalled that Iesha loved seeing nature.

Nonetheless, Davis and Natalya moved on to another topic as she told them many things about Eterna and Celestia, later comparing how similar Fiora was to Eterna when it came to playfulness.

”-and Fiora was a snot-nosed lass in her childhood. I had to go wipe her nose each time our mother was not around. If not, she would cry and fly into her motherʼs arms and complain. You can imagine how much I took care of her, so I also made the decision for her to be with you, the only man I trust. Now, I canʼt believe she is finally pregnant with your child. Hehe~”

Natalya giggled as she laid on his arm comfortably on the bed, reminiscing about the past.

”Indeed. Weʼll also have a lot of children. Otherwise, I wouldnʼt be born to my mother and father.”

Davis also smiled as he remembered about his father and mother. They popped out children like they were extremely virile and fertile, making him jealous. His mother was still pregnant with another child.

On the other hand, he had bad luck where he could only have one or two children with one partner even after so many years in his marriage.

At least, Evelynn had two right now, but he wished that he could have more children with her, and the same went for Natalya.

They wished to be fruitful as well, so their wishes coincided.

Still, thinking about his mother, he wished she was safe as she was alone with his family there. His thoughts also went to someone else.

Nonetheless, as he listened to Natalya going on and on without end, he learned so much. She told him a few things he wasnʼt privy to, like how everyone was aware of Tiaʼs affection towards him, making him feel awkward at that moment as she was his little aunt. However, Natalya herself didnʼt say anything about their awkward relationship, making him wonder if she was fine with such a thing.

He didnʼt ask and said that he would soon take care of that.

Other than that, Natalya was tight-lipped, so she didnʼt leak anything that had to do with the harem council, making him give her a side-eye.

However, he didnʼt force her to choose between him and her fellow sisters.

”Natalya, Iʼm sure you know about us bringing structure to our family by having rules and regulations in place.”

”Mhm.” Natalya nodded, ”I know. Iʼve already told big sister that I donʼt want to be a part of it.”

”No, you will be a part of it as the second wife. Itʼs a responsibility you canʼt avoid.”

”Eh? My position as the second wife is already a big thing though. My word carries weight more than I like to think, as the newcomers and a few others are highly cautious of me.”

”Itʼs just the way you speak makes them think like that.” Davis couldnʼt help but laugh.

There was gossip that Natalya was the witch that made him fall into polygamy, which was true, but it made her seem like quite the villainess who was full of schemes when, in truth, she was a dummy who only wished to be spinning around him like the moon.

”Still, the new structure would go one step to ensure fairness, so I would like you to take part in it. If you donʼt want to be in the Administrative Department, at least enter the External Affairs Department.”

Davis turned lightly and held her cheek, ”You are smart enough to avoid most pitfalls because you are already in my grasp, but most importantly, with you as one of the three heads of the External Affairs Department, I wonʼt need to be worried about my foolish descendants allying with the enemies for benefits at all.”

”…”

Natalyaʼs entire body flushed. She was a soul body, and the soul didnʼt differentiate between parts.

”Well, if you want me there, then it canʼt be helped~” She said in a shyer voice than their marriage night.

”Great.”

Davis smiled, ”Theyʼre still going over the details, but with my recommendation, no one can say otherwise.”

”Tyrant~”

Natalya giggled, but she saw his gaze flicker suddenly before she even uttered.

”What? Did you find her?”

Davisʼs lips curled before he nodded.
