Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2056: Sharing

He took his hands from both locations and targeted other organs, intending to get rid of the poison there as well. The intensity of the life energy he used was such that it took only a second or two for the invading poison to die before continuing to heal the damaged parts of the organ.

However, as his hands traced her smooth jade-white skin, he couldnʼt help but feel that he was tainting her.

ʼThis is first aid… yes… just like CPR...ʼ

Inwardly convincing himself, he took his hands back but kept them hovering above her, this time healing her entire body.

Meanwhile, Evelynn let go of Valley Master Jade Auroraʼs hands. She saw that there was no poison left to absorb, blinking at Davisʼs ability to quickly cure poison like that. Not only had he destroyed the poison, but he also healed her contaminated blood, which happened to be the most difficult part, which she would also find difficult to cure despite her medical knowledge and prowess in it.

She couldnʼt help but smile, once again understanding why he was not afraid of her deadly poison or even her hex. If it were any other man, would he be able to look at her past her poisonous ability?

The time it took for them to heal Valley Master Jade Aurora didnʼt even last half a minute. However, they knew if they had been late for a minute or two, they wouldʼve met a corpse instead. But who knows? Perhaps, Valley Master Jade Aurora relaxed upon witnessing them, causing the poison to spread faster and affect her heavily.

In any case, Evelynn helped dress Valley Master Jade Aurora in one of her own purple robes. Of course, she told Davis to look the other way despite him seeing Valley Master Jade Aurora in all her glory while Davis could only do as she said.

And as he surveyed the rift space, he saw about hundred and thirty corpses of those mindless savage beasts, all looking to have more or less exploded from within.

ʼSo the new wounds Valley Master Jade Aurora incurred was a result of this battle…?ʼ

”Youʼre allowed to look now.”

Evelynnʼs smug voice resounded, causing him to shake his head before he turned around.

Valley Master Jade Aurora was all dressed up, but she was still asleep, meaning that she had exhausted all her strength.

”Iʼll leave a soul body here to guard her. Letʼs go save that brat.”

Davis spoke, but Evelynn shook her head, ”You want to take advantage of her again? Hmph! Iʼve called my avatar and Yotan back. They should be here shortly.”

”Haha! Iʼm sorry. Iʼm sorry.”

Davis couldnʼt help but laugh as he apologized, hearing her obsessive feelings. It was obvious to him that she wanted to monopolize him during this trip, but he had to touch another naked woman in front of her just after making love with her, so he supposed that it couldnʼt be helped that she was slightly angered.

Evelynnʼs pout declined on hearing him apologize, ”Itʼs fine. I know that it was unavoidable. Otherwise, she wouldʼve died.”

”Itʼs fine to get angry at me, Evelynn. Always together, right?”

Hearing Davisʼs genial voice, those odd feelings in her disappeared before she heavily nodded her head, ”Mhm!~”

A few minutes later, Valley Master Jade Aurora didnʼt wake up, but Yotan and Evelynnʼs avatar showed up as they returned from their exploration. Evelynnʼs avatar piggybacked Valley Master Jade Aurora before she brought her back to the final waypoint, which was Threelotusʼs location. However, before Davis and Evelynn could leave, they were graced with the presence of the white-haired woman.

”Are you done exploring alone?”

Davisʼs brows couldnʼt help but twitch as he saw Myria arrive through the rift. If she was here together with them, he wouldnʼt have needed to heal a naked woman nor have made Evelynn feel that way but considering that, he wouldnʼt have been able to make love with Evelynn and finally clear her guilt in that opportune moment of her vulnerability, he inwardly thanked Myria for leaving.

Myria arrived before him and deeply smiled behind her veil, her eyes curving.

”Prince Davis, here!~”

Davis blinked at the blue fruit in Myriaʼs palm before he realized, ”Ellia, is this fruit from the Wretched Rotten Nightmare Treeʼs that Myria mentioned?”

”Yes!” Ellia giggled, ”This fruit will help you comprehend Death Laws once you make it into the Shrouded Lamenting Soul Pill.”

”Oh?” Davisʼs eyes widened in astonishment before disbelief filled his face, ”Youʼre giving this to me? Are you sure that you wonʼt get yelled at by Myria?”

”Thereʼs no need to worry about that.” Ellia gestured with her finger, shaking her index finger with a smug smile on her face, ”We found four of these fruits, so half of them belong to me. Naturally, one is for me, and the other one is for you.”

”Really?” Davis didnʼt seem to believe, ”She shares half with you all the time?”

”That…” Ellia suddenly looked unsure before she shook her head, ”So far, Iʼve never had the need to give my share to someone else, so I didnʼt say anything, but you are different. Iʼll be sharing things with you from now on-”

”Ellia, I understand your feelings for me very well and even appreciate it every time.” Davis raised his hand, cutting her speech, ”However, I donʼt want your other half thinking that Iʼm taking advantage of you, especially when weʼre supposed to be in cooperation. Iʼd rather be shameless about it and ask you myself if I want it.”

”Prince Davis…” Ellia bit her lips, her eyes appearing moved yet unsure, ”But… I know this fruit is really important to raise your Death Laws. I know you wonʼt commit slaughter meaninglessly, so this is the only way you can learn Death Laws faster.”

”I understand.” Davis nodded, ”In that case, Iʼll buy it. Judging by the potency, rarity, and value of this fruit, I surmise that it would cost around 200 Peak-Level Spirit Stone Vein Sources or more. For how much would you give this fruit to me, including the pill recipe?”

Ellia blinked, looking as though she didnʼt know what to say. A moment later, her lips curved as he raised a single finger.

”Alright. Iʼll trade you both for one purple coin!”

Davisʼs brows couldnʼt help but twitch.

One purple coin? Wasnʼt that the price that his mother bought Ellia for from the High Line Slave Traders to have her as his personal maid?

What kind of joke was this?

But thinking back, Myria destroyed the entire High Line Slave Traders overnight, massacring them all as she took revenge for Ellia. If he were to give her one purple coin, wouldnʼt Myria become mad and attack him? He couldnʼt help but want to try trading one purple coin but refrained as he shook his head.

”Ellia, I appreciate your feelings, but do this seriously.”

”Hmph~”

Ellia pouted, looking offended that he didnʼt take her gift. However, her expression changed at this moment as she threw the fruit toward him.

Davis caught it as he didnʼt want to let this precious fruit fall and be damaged. He then looked at Ellia, wondering what she had in store now but then saw those indifferent eyes.

”Well, at least you have sincerity. Consider it a token of faith for our cooperation. This too.”

Myria tossed a scroll. The moment it appeared on her hand, it glowed with her soul force before she threw it.

Davis caught it again and saw that it was the pill recipe for the Shrouded Lamenting Soul Pill. However, he didnʼt look amused.

”Are you looking down on me? Or-”

”Donʼt misunderstand.” Myriaʼs cold voice echoed, ”If you donʼt accept it, Ellia will annoy me instead. You know you canʼt deal with a kid, especially a kid thatʼs adamant. Still, itʼs my fault for spoiling Ellia to this level. This is what they say by what you sow, what you reap.”

”Thatʼs true.” Davis couldnʼt help but nod with a wry smile, ”If you didnʼt give Ellia her freedom, I wouldnʼt have given you your freedom either.”

Myria stared at him before lightly sighing as though realizing both were children, although only this child in front of her was extremely dangerous as he possessed the damned treasure.

”Then, do you plan on glaring at me or saving that damsel in distress? Judging by the despondent expression of that Valley Master who had fainted, you might not have enough time to save her, no?”

”Oh, right.”

Davis grabbed his head as though he had just remembered before turning around and leaving towards the rift pointed out by Valley Master Jade Aurora before she fainted. He was followed by Evelynn, who arrived beside him, while Myria followed, looking interested in what she would find further.
