Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 1305 - Killing?

Davis took a deep breath to calm himself down, realizing that there was no way to quickly arrive at a conclusion for this matter even though he didnʼt need to breathe as a soul. The only way to avoid these conflicting feelings was to get out of this place and not see Tina Roxley, but then he also recalled how he had yet to look at another matter.

Coincidentally, this matter was something that could be quickly concluded, unlike the one he was facing right now in an uphill battle against himself, perhaps on the losing end.

”Tina Roxley...”

Davis uttered, causing her to jerk before she stood in attention as she let his wrists go, a healthy blush filling her pale face as she realized that she had been rather bold to confess her feelings and even hold his hands, although it came in a different form.

”Yes...?” She squealed in a low voice, looking expectant.

”I believe your words...”

Instantly, Tina Roxley felt tremendously ecstatic. However, Davis continued.

”But, I donʼt know what to make of this... I require some time to see if these feelings are truly mine or something else. I can see that you love me and want to spend your life with me, even if it means that you become my second. However, I donʼt want to take advantage of your sincere and heartfelt feelings for me.”

ʼI will only take advantage of you if my feelings towards you are something that belongs to me.ʼ Davis thought, but he didnʼt say it out loud before he continued.

”I promise Iʼll come to take you by then, but if itʼs the latter, and you canʼt be without me, Iʼll try to end your life.”

Davis looked utterly serious as he asked.

”What do you say?”

Tina Roxley blinked as she tried to say something, her expression becoming awry, but she pursed her lips before it moved, ”Alchemist Scythe, this isnʼt a negotiation...”

”You canʼt corner me like this...”

Davis felt a bit difficult while looking at her face that possessed a longing expression for him.

Even denying her right now took the entirety of his will with these strange feelings disrupting his own feelings, but if she made such a face in front of him, he found it really hard to endure to not take her home.

Heck, she didnʼt even look angry at him for saying that he would end her life.

Just what kind of unconditional or silly love was this...?

He felt disgusted for the heavens for making such a lovable woman be born into a messed up family. He felt hatred for that Mystic Diviner for showing her such divination that got him into this mess and still l.u.s.ted after her while knowing that she had a fated one. He felt contempt for himself for continuously using Fallen Heaven as he pleased.

The sight he saw now was perhaps the result of his actions.

Just how many people had he indirectly affected? He didnʼt know...

Therefore, the least he could do for Tina Roxley was to give in to her requests, but he felt reluctant to do so at this point in time as the only thing he refused to entertain was women.

If he was going to take a woman, he was going to be entirely serious about it! Not because these feelings were arbitrarily forced on him by some unknown diverged fate that he couldnʼt truly comprehend at this moment!

Nevertheless, the more she looked at him with those longing amethyst eyes of her, the more he found his will breaking.

”Fine... Give me some time...” He unwillingly spoke.

Tina Roxley became ecstatic that she brought her hands to her bountiful curves and nodded her head, ”Take much time as you need. I wonʼt force you, but I believe that someday, youʼll truly find that my love for you is real, even if our fates have diverged. When that happens, Iʼll be gladly expecting you to take me home...”

Davisʼs heart shook, but he hid his expression as he lowered his head.

The feeling of wanting to take her home was already there in him. However, it wasnʼt his but felt foreign yet not in a strange manner, making it impossible for him to explain.

”Itʼs already been seven minutes,” He raised his head and opened his mouth, ”And itʼs enough time for your Master to run out of his patience and come looking for you for your safety. However, I have business with the Mystic Diviner, and after I ask him details, Iʼm going to kill him!”

Tina Roxleyʼs eyes narrowed as her expression became pale, ”Why...?”

”He chased my friends and made them hide for their lives. Do you think I will leave him alive? In the divination you saw, I didnʼt leave your father alive because he hurt you, the woman I loved, right? Do you think I will leave him alive when I know that he l.u.s.ts after you?”

”But...” Tina Roxleyʼs expression became difficult, ”I donʼt want uncle to die...”

”So youʼre saying that you will wait for me, all the while having a man who has a l.u.s.t for you by your side.” Davisʼs expression became cold, ”Iʼm disappointed, Tina Roxley...”

”No... Please donʼt say that...” Tina Roxley felt her heart deeply pained on hearing his words that tears began to fall from her face out of her control, ”I was planning to leave this place and go hide somewhere. This way, you also donʼt have to kill uncle...”

”You...!” Davis instantly felt regret on doubting her, but he became exasperated that he softly said, ”Iʼm sorry. However, you can be kind, but you canʼt be this naive...!”

”I am not...” Tina Roxley bit her lips as she felt somewhat happy, ”I poisoned and killed my own father, and youʼre saying that Iʼm naive...?”

Davis blinked, not really finding a counter to that statement of hers.

Tina Roxley smiled as she lowered her head, clenching her fists as anger flashed through her amethyst eyes.

”Uncle has helped me many times, more than I could ever be thankful for, and even saved my little sister last month from being kidnapped by three hateful young masters... Moreover, he was the one who showed me divination, making me fall in love with you. With all this, I could only leave and distance myself, not take revenge unless he really made a move on me...!”

”Oh... so it was gratitude that is stopping you from beating him up or killing him...?” Davis finally understood, but he still asked.

”Killing him...?” Tina Roxley sighed as her smile changed to a wry one, ”That is nearly impossible. Uncle has a High-Level Emperor Grade Protective Artifact on him, an artifact that could protect him from one or two attacks of a Ninth Stage Powerhouse...!”

”What...?” Davis narrowed his eyes, feeling disbelief, ”Isnʼt Aurelius just an outer sect disciple of the Heaven Gazing Sect? How does he have wealth to buy a treasure like that?”

”No, he doesnʼt...” Tina Roxley shook her head as she worriedly spoke, ”And many people donʼt know about the Heaven Gazing Sect, but from what he said, there are only two hundred and fourteen disciples in the Heaven Gazing Sect, and each one of them is precious as they are all Mystic Diviners. They are given a protective artifact that would allow them to traverse the world without having to be afraid of anyone other than Ninth Stage Powerhouses because the moment someone attacks them, the protective talisman they had been given activates to protect them while it also marks the aggressor with a ʼheavensʼ gazeʼ mark.”

”The Heaven Gazing Sect quickly dispatches a punitive force from one of their branches nearby the disciple, which is usually made up of a Ninth Stage Powerhouse leading the punitive force full of Eighth Stage Experts to deal with the aggressors. No matter where the marked person is, they would quickly find the aggressor and quickly dispose of them!”

”Thatʼs why I cannot allow you to attack him!”

”I donʼt want you to die...” Tina Roxley bit her lips as she held him, wrapping her arms around him as she tightly clenched, ”Thatʼs why I also need a shred of conclusive evidence if I need to kill him and to get through that protective talisman, the only way is on top of the bed where he would be defenseless while taking advantage of me...”

Davisʼs heart shook as he heard her speak, his face becoming wrathful as he clenched his fists in immense anger.

What kind of life did this woman endure all the while waiting for him...?

She had to be on the passive to defend herself? It was only after Aurelius made a move on her could she kill him using the Lesser Five Elements Formation, and even if it failed, she was prepared enough to kill herself using it.

It was either do or die for her!

The matter he wanted to avoid the most was getting on the radar of the mysterious Heaven Gazing Sect and their Mystic Diviners as he knew that they posed an immense threat to an existence like himself who deviated from fate, but this...?

”Heʼs dead...” Davis trembled in her embrace.

”No, donʼt! Itʼs too dangerous to kill him without any kind of evidence...! The Heaven Gazing Sect deeply detests wrongdoers, so it also does not forgive their discipleʼs wrongdoings, but it also does not allow anyone to harm their disciples without a valid reason!”

Davis, although still trembling in rage, kept his calm under the hold of Tina Roxleyʼs soft body.

”Fine, he can live...” He uttered as he heaved a breath.

”Really...?”

Tina Roxley became glad that she didnʼt have to lose him right after gaining what she longed for all this time.

”Yes...” Davisʼs sapphire eyes flashed in a cold light as he oddly smiled, ”He can live as a brainless walking corpse, that is...”

Tina Roxleyʼs smile faded, a confused expression appearing on her face as her lips moved.

”W-What!?”
