Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 1301 - Minded My Own Business?

Brandis Mercer, who was none the wiser, was also immensely worried as he echoed, ”Iʼm going to alert the Thousand Pill Palace. They should be able to deal with this unidentified cultivator!”

He instantly took out a distress talisman, looking as if he was about to crush it.

”No! Donʼt make things worse!” Aurelius warned, ”That masked man might kill her or take her as a hostage to escape! We cannot bring harm to Tina!”

Brandis Mercer became stunned. He failed to consider this and calmed down, his expression becoming one of anger, angered that he was helpless against this expert.

Even if he tried to attack him at that moment, he couldnʼt guarantee Tina Roxleyʼs survival. He couldnʼt help but blame that stupid little boy for bringing Tina here, but he couldnʼt also help but feel it was inevitable.

Thereʼs been a recent rise of young masters and old farts asking his daughterʼs hand in marriage in these few months, and he didnʼt know why exactly her popularity rose other than a few incidents. Because of this, Tina Roxleyʼs little sister Rina Roxley was almost kidnapped last month.

If it werenʼt for Aurelius protecting her, Tina Roxley wouldʼve been pained by the loss or possibly threatened. However, they all knew that it was related to some people wanting to make Tina Roxley their bride.

In the end, he kept the distressed talisman back in his spatial ring, listening to his brotherʼs reasoning.

Aurelius spoke of a valid reason to make Brandis Mercer stay his hand.

However, the real reason was that he could not make this a big matter as there was a chance that Tina Roxleyʼs strangeness might be found out by others and possibly the entire world of Mystic Diviners! He didnʼt want anyone to find her uniqueness, especially this masked man!

Therefore, if it were just a few questions, so be it!

ʼEndure... Endure, Aurelius! You have come so far, treating her with care, trying to gain her affection through various methods from the moment you messed up more than a year ago...ʼ

ʼYou will not allow for more mistakes to happen...!ʼ

Davis followed Tina Roxley across many winding paths. He calmly followed her, but his eyes couldnʼt help but fall on her b.u.t.t that was awfully similar to Evelynnʼs. He suddenly felt nostalgic about the first time he met this woman. At that time, he was also subconsciously viewing her b.u.t.t.

”Arenʼt you gazing for too long?” Tina Roxley asked as she cast a gaze back at him while walking, her expression icy.

However, Davis got an intense sense of deja vu as he could remember that she asked the same last time. However, he didnʼt bother to reply this time but just took his expression away.

Tina Roxley returned her gaze to the front, leaving her back defenseless. However, her icy expression faded, replaced with a kind of disappointment. She then smiled and led him to a particular place.

Davis was no longer wary of this woman. Since it was now plausible to him that the Mystic Diviner was who affected him during the breakthrough, he found her to be nothing but a little woman.

He felt that it was a pity that it turned out to be like this as he once saw her be a kind woman, even helping him once from trouble even though he didnʼt need that help.

Nevertheless, he wanted to know why she requested such a thing from her before crosschecking it with Aurelius. Then, he could decide whether to deal a killing blow to them both or not.

After three short minutes, they arrived at a room.

Davis could instantly smell aromatic fragrance once he entered the room, and the first thought that entered his mind was the types of poison that could possibly match this fragrance and found that there were two or three of them according to the knowledge.

However, a moment later, he realized that he was overthinking since the fragrance failed to do anything to him. It was just the fragrance of a womanʼs room, particularly...

”You brought me to your room...?” Davis finally spoke, finding it difficult to garner her intentions as her emotions were now chaotic.

Tina Roxleyʼs head was lowered as she walked towards her bedroom. She didnʼt seem to reply while Davis paused for a moment but continued to follow her. He was simply a soul-body who had nothing to fear.

After they had entered the bedroom, Tina Roxley sat on the bed before she suddenly turned around to face him, a lazy smile hanging on her face as she raised her hands.

*Bzzz!~*

A formation suddenly sprang up from underneath the bed as it hung over her while undulating with Peak-Level Seventh Stage undulations. Fire, water, earth, wind, and metal, all seemingly ready to be unleashed upon a twitch of her lithe fingers.

ʼA Killing Formation...ʼ Davisʼs eyes flashed before his expression became amused.

”You brought me here to deal me a killing blow? Do you really think something like that is capable of harming me?”

Tina Roxleyʼs expression didnʼt change. She still had a lazy smile, appearing extremely confident.

”Who said that this was for you?”

”...”

Davisʼs amused expression left his face as he noticed that the formationʼs energy was not directed at him but her instead!

”You may have followed me, thinking I may let you take advantage of me while becoming afraid of death, but youʼre wrong. Iʼd rather die than let you or anyone take advantage of me...!” Tina Roxley shouted with a crazy light in her amethyst eyes.

”Uhmm... ” Davis felt that this kind woman had finally become crazy after killing her father and now trying to kill herself. However, he understood one thing and couldnʼt help but say, ”I was wondering why or anyone would go so far as setting up a Killing Formation under the bed, and it now seems like this Killing Formation was originally for protecting yourself from that Mystic Diviner, huh...”

”H-How do you k-know...?” Tina Roxleyʼs lazy smiled faded as her expression trembled, but then it suddenly became determined, ”Regardless, once you knew what you wanted to know, leave! Or youʼll see nothing but my corpse to violate! Oh, wait. I was wrong because...”

Her cherry lips quivered as a crazy smile emerged on her face.

”There wonʼt be anything left of me, not even ashes from the destruction of this Lesser Five Elements Killing Formation...”

Davis narrowed his eyes, ”Youʼre deranged...”

”Oh, you do understand...” Tina Roxley giggled as her bosoms shook underneath her purple robe. Her amethyst eyes held a threatening intent that she would kill herself if he even did something like taking a step forward. It served as a warning that she would die before he got to know the answer to the questions he had in mind.

Davis could feel that her emotions were entirely chaotic with his Heart Intent, but he could feel the most prominent one, which was fear. She really was scared of him or perhaps to end her life, but the chaotic emotions were the turning point.

ʼI see... Depending on what her chaotic emotions transform into, whether hopeful or hopeless depending on my actions, she would commit suicide or wonʼt... She is on edge right now...ʼ

Davis felt like he could literally see her sitting on a thin line of the bridge instead of the bed. He had actually gained a bit of insight into the Heart Intent at this moment, causing him to blink before he came out of his reverie.

”Very well, I understand your determination. Donʼt worry, Iʼm not after your body, but depending on your answer, I will sever your life or let you go as I simply head to have business with the Mystic Diviner. You can rest assured about that...” Davis spoke as he took two steps back.

Tina Roxley calmed down a bit after seeing him retreat, feeling like she had won, but she still didnʼt release the killing formation. It still undulated with a massive amount of energy, ready to strike her, but she looked unfazed about it when anyone who could not take that attack and survive would be scared shitless.

It was like holding a time bomb with no display, not knowing actually when the timer would set off to cause a massive explosion!

”Fine... but what if I donʼt know the answer to your questions...?” Tina Roxley asked as she narrowed her eyes.

She felt it was okay to be interrogated, but what if she really didnʼt know the answers to his questions? What then? Would she be killed or released or kidnapped?

”Oh, donʼt worry.” Davis chuckled, ”You do know your own actions, so it is impossible for you to not know.”

”My actions...?” Tina Roxley became confused, ”I donʼt even know you as I have simply minded my own business and pursued my cultiva-”

”Minded your own business, you say?” Davisʼs expression became frozen under the mask as he cut her short.

”Yes...” Tina Roxley uttered, feeling ominous the next second as she could sense him suddenly become pissed off for an unknown reason.

”So who was it that ʼminded their own businessʼ when they ordered an elder to check out a youthʼs identity?”

”So who was it that ʼminded their own businessʼ when they decided to help out that youth when he actually didnʼt need that help?”

”So who was it that ʼminded their own businessʼ when they wrote a letter to that youth, saying that ʼFate let us meet twice... If it lets us meet again...ʼ, almost like a Mystic Divinerʼs apprentice who is bent on the word fate?”

”So who was it that ʼminded their own businessʼ when they decided to cast an awful nightmare to that youth, even going as far as to seduce that youth with the help of the Mystic Diviner in his dreams...?”

”Perhaps, you know the answers to all my questions, no?”

Davisʼs voice was icy as he stretched her words while unamusingly smiling at Tina Roxley.

However, his frozen smile faded as his expression became confused because he saw Tina Roxley tremble while taking her raised hands back to her bosoms as if holding something dear, her eyes quickly becoming moist before tears began to hastily plunge down her cheeks.

”Alchemist Scythe...?”

A longing voice echoed as Tina Roxleyʼs cherry lips moved, making Davisʼs heart thump crazily yet uncomfortably!
