Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 1303 - Yes...

Davis took a deep breath, calming his raging emotions once again before he asked, ”You still havenʼt answered all of my questions yet.”

He wanted to know what if he had missed anything crucial, and since Tina Roxley claimed that he was her husband, perhaps she had seen something that might explain this phenomenon.

Tina Roxley put her hand down, lowering her head as she began to reminiscence before her cherry lips moved.

”To answer your first question, I used Elder Seylas to check your appearance and therefore learned that you could possibly be the youth who is fated to me through the act of witnessing my divination.”

”As for the second question, things were different. You didnʼt act as the divination indicated. Your actions were different than the ones I was shown in the divination that I began to think, perhaps youʼre not the one.”

”What do you mean...?” Davis narrowed his eyes in confusion.

Tina Roxley couldnʼt help but wryly chuckle.

”I helped you in the auction house, and you met me in an alleyway to thank me, but in reality, you didnʼt. We held hands, kissed, and shared our feelings, but in reality, we didnʼt. There was a purple-haired woman who was with you, but she didnʼt appear. All I saw was that woman called Natalya with you. I didnʼt know what to think of it anymore, and when I finally decided to confront it, you werenʼt there anymore...”

”It was like you disappeared without a trace...”

Davis blinked on hearing the ʼpurple-haired womanʼ.

Was that supposed to be Isabella?

But of course, he was dragged away by Isabella back to the Grand Sea Continent, disappearing without a trace from the Tripartite Alliance. So that was a big change in his fate, assuming Tina Roxleyʼs words were true.

But, it was strange... He didnʼt meet with Isabella in the Xuan City but in the Tyrannical Blue Ape Mountain range and directly left. There was practically no chance for Tina Roxley to have seen Isabella with him at that time unless if they had chosen not to return to the Grand Sea Continent.

Nevertheless, he felt awkward as he asked.

”Was it also the time when you were forced to kill your own father...?”

Tina Roxley shook, but she determinedly nodded her head.

”Yes... However, according to the divination, you killed my father, and that purple-haired woman killed my vile grandfather as you two saved me, but in reality, you and that purple-haired woman didnʼt, and we didnʼt fall in love like it was painted...”

”I knew something had gone horribly wrong, so I was afraid that...”

Tina Roxleyʼs expression trembled, ”That my little sister would meet a tragic fate in the hands of our father, the same fate my elder sister had met in his hands, so I poisoned and killed him before being rescued by my Master Brandis Mercer and his sworn brother Aurelius.”

Davis blinked.

He was the one who was supposed to kill her father while Isabella killed her grandfather?

But wait! Tina Roxley had an elder sister? And she fell prey to their fatherʼs vile tendencies?

His expression couldnʼt help but become disgusted at Tina Roxleyʼs father.

Tina Roxley wryly smiled as she saw his expression, but her lips quivered, ”I want to know... What do you think of me? A merciless woman who killed her own father?”

”I...” Davis felt hesitant as it was a s.e.n.s.i.t.i.v.e topic, but he decided to be honest, ”I initially thought you were crazy when I heard that you killed your own father but then after hearing how your father tried to make a move on you, his very own daughters, I know who is at fault. Even if you killed your father a hundred times more, there is nothing at fault because such a depraved person doesnʼt deserve to live in my books.”

Tina Roxleyʼs body shook lightly. A smile appeared on her face as her lips quivered.

”Iʼm happy...”

Davis felt extremely awkward to be in this place now as he avoided her obsessive gaze that was full of love. The words that came out of Tina Roxleyʼs mouth were extremely hard for him to believe, but what else could it be if not true?

Her pure imagination? If it were so, he really had to award her for almost making him believe her.

Tina Roxley had a Mystic Diviner at her disposal, so it was entirely possible that she had seen her future, and he had theorized that his fate kept changing with every time he used Fallen Heaven. It was entirely possible to him that the change in her fate was due to him.

Nevertheless, he still couldnʼt help but find it extremely difficult to digest it.

Even if she had seen all those things and become obsessed, he didnʼt. He still had his calm and indifference to her other than feeling uncomfortable in his heart as if confirming her story made sense, that it was possible that they were fated ones displaced by his actions.

”You donʼt believe me, right?” Tina Roxley looked at him with wide eyes and a crazy smile on her face, ”If the words I spoke to you are false, fake, or fraudulent in any way, then may the heavens strike me with lightning and shatter my soul as it sees fit!”

Davisʼs eyes widened at her sudden oath, but just when he was about to debunk her conviction that oaths can be efficiently removed, her lips moved.

”If you have a Blood Soul Contract, let me acknowledge that too... Youʼll know how true my words are by then...”

Davisʼs mouth went agape as he saw her determined expression, her eyes even becoming moist as if she were going to cry if he doubted her anymore. He opened and closed his mouth, wanting to say something in denial, but he took a step back, heaving a heavy sigh.

”I still find all this difficult to believe. You may have seen scenes of us together, but I have only seen a single image of you sleeping with me. I already have women I love, and this image that is stuck in my head is deeply offensive...!”

Tina Roxleyʼs eyes widened as it greatly shook. Her lips quivered as she asked, ”Youʼre married...?”

Davis didnʼt feel like answering, but it still came out of his mouth without his control, ”Yes, I already married two lovely women, one you already know of, and am also planning to marry the purple-haired woman you mentioned along with two more women subsequently...”

Seeing her expression tremble without stop, a smile finally appeared on his face, ”Did I just shatter the obsession you had for me?”

Tina Roxley shook her head, ”Obsession? Youʼre wrong... All I have for you are feelings of genuine love. The moment I saw you with that strong purple-haired woman in the divination, with you even introducing her to me, I already knew that she was probably your fiancee or wife. I didnʼt care if I was the second. All I needed... was your love as foretold by fate divination, but...”

She lowered her head as tears began to plunge towards the ground.

Davisʼs heart palpitated as he felt sorry for her.

ʼAgain... This feeling is unnatural...ʼ

He inwardly felt as this feeling didnʼt belong to him.

ʼIs this a remnant of witnessing that scene during breakthrough? Yes, that must be it...ʼ

Davis felt that it was so real back when he experienced the strange occurrence. Now, with Tina Roxleyʼs statement of their future, no, the past, he understood that it was not something that should not exist in this world as their fates have already diverted from one and another.

Except, if she was supposed to be his woman as fate previously ordained, was he supposed to let her go or welcome her now that even after the fate has changed?

Davis felt confused like never before as he took a step back and actually hit a wall, his expression trembling like Tina Roxleyʼs.

”Say, if I claim that I can make you forget me... Will you start a new life..?”

Tina Roxleyʼs expression froze. She looked at Davis with intense emotions before her lips curved into a wry smile as her amethyst eyes shook.

”If that is your wish...”

Davisʼs heart shook, but he raised his hand, simultaneously activating his Karma Laws with the main body, becoming able to see the Karma Thread that connected them.

Bright crimson red... with almost no amount of impurities whatsoever.

”Are you s-sure...?” Davisʼs voice stuttered.

It made Tina Roxley experience an intense tremble in her heart as she nodded, ”Yes... If you can make me forget...”

Davis heaved a breath, feeling his heart rapidly beat faster when it shouldnʼt. This was completely unnatural, and he didnʼt like it. He shouldnʼt be feeling these emotions as he knew that it wasnʼt something he developed but something else... a remnant of a diverged fate.

He reached out his hand and grasped the Karma Thread intending to sever it.

ʼI was able to capture it using my avatar...ʼ

Previously, Davis recalled that he was unable to do such a thing when he tried to interact with his little aunt Tiaʼs Karma Thread when he met her for the first time but wasnʼt able to. But now, he was able to interact with the Karma Thread from a long-distance separating his main body, which in turn was a piece of direct evidence to realize how Fallen Heavenʼs powers have improved from the time he had broken through to the King Soul Stage.

Nevertheless, it was just a passing thought as his focus was concentrated on the Karma Thread that connected Tina Roxley with him. It was bright as Mo Mingzhiʼs when he tried to sever it. At that time, he didnʼt hesitate to tug on it to sever Mo Mingzhiʼs but right now, his hands were shaking unnaturally that it scared him!

How much had he been affected by the remnant feelings of the diverged fate to feel this much for her!?

Davisʼs eyes narrowed into two tiny slits as a ruthless light shone in his eyes. The fingers that grasped the Karma Thread flicked as he began pulling it apart to sever!

”No!!!!”
