Urban Seduction: Housewives Club

Chapter 147: The Son-in-law Who Comes to the Door

After Professor Ming left, the three of them, Ye Fei, had almost finished their meal. After helping Su Yuxian clean up, Ming Yuexin also had to rush to the police station. Although it was already Saturday, she was a dedicated worker who worked seven days a week and wouldnʼt take a break at home.

Ye Fei looked at Su Yuxian and saw a glimmer of expectation in her eyes. Obviously, she hoped that he would stay and keep her company. However, Ye Fei had something very important to do today, which was to go play at Lin Lingʼs house. This matter had already been postponed for several weekends, and he couldnʼt delay it any longer.

He gave Su Yuxian an apologetic look. Ye Fei followed Ming Yuexin out of the door, but he felt a bit uncomfortable in his heart. He felt a bit heartless like this. It would be okay if it was just an ordinary woman, but he really liked Su Yuxian, so naturally he didnʼt want her to be unhappy at all.

So he stopped again and said to Ming Yuexin, ”Sister Xin, I left my phone at home. I need to go back and get it.”

”You, why donʼt you lose yourself too?” Ming Yuexin looked at Ye Fei both angrily and amusedly. There was three parts of blame and seven parts of indulgence in her eyes, as if she really regarded Ye Fei as her own younger brother. ”Then go quickly. Iʼll wait for you in the car.”

Ye Fei responded and quickly went upstairs. He pushed the door open and walked into the living room. As he expected, Su Yuxian was sitting there dejectedly, not even bothering to wipe the table, and her facial expression was indescribably lonely.

Ye Fei couldnʼt help but feel a pang of heartache. He quickly walked over and sat beside her. He hugged her slender waist and said in her ear, ”Sister, whatʼs wrong with you?”

Su Yuxian then came to her senses from her sadness. Discovering that Ye Fei had come back, she was very pleasantly surprised. She quickly hugged him tightly and said, ”I knew you wouldnʼt leave me alone!”

Her delicate appearance softened Ye Feiʼs heart, but in the end, he still shook his head firmly. ”I just came up to tell you, but I still have to go.” He couldnʼt break the appointment today no matter what.

Although he liked Su Yuxian very much, his affection for Lin Ling was still deeper, so he could only disappoint her for the time being. Later, when he brought them all together, he wouldnʼt have to neglect one while taking care of the other.

Hearing what Ye Fei said, Su Yuxianʼs face showed a disappointed expression again, but she said obediently, ”Then go ahead. Iʼm fine.”

”Sister, donʼt be like this. Actually, I also really want to stay with you, but todayʼs matter is really important.” Ye Fei comforted her softly in her ear. ”Besides, we have a lifetime to be together, so why should we care too much about this short moment?”

The reason why Su Yuxian was so worried about gains and losses was partly because Ye Fei couldnʼt stay with her, but mostly because she thought she had no future with him at all, and she didnʼt dare to hope for anything.

She only hoped to spend more time with him while he still liked her. But when she heard Ye Feiʼs words, especially the part about a lifetime, she immediately cheered up.

”Then hold me for a while longer before you go.” After opening her heart completely to Ye Fei last night, Su Yuxian became extremely clingy to him. She didnʼt look like a mature woman at all. She was just like a little girl who had just fallen in love.

”Okay.” Ye Fei tightened his arms around her waist and said with a laugh, ”Letʼs hold each other for a while longer. Anyway, itʼs Saturday, and Sister Xin doesnʼt have to rush to the police station.”

”You mean Xinʼer is still waiting downstairs?” Su Yuxian couldnʼt help but exclaim. She quickly broke free from Ye Feiʼs embrace and gently pushed him. ”Then youʼd better go down quickly, or sheʼll come up if she gets impatient.”

Ye Fei was also a bit anxious at this time because it was almost nine oʼclock. He needed to meet Ye Yunqi first and then go to Lin Lingʼs house together. If he didnʼt set out soon, he probably wouldnʼt be able to make it before noon. But despite his anxiety, he still hugged Su Yuxian tightly again and kissed her on the lips before saying goodbye to her. When he walked to the door, he turned around again and said, ”By the way, sister, Sister Xin and Uncle still donʼt know my real identity. Please donʼt tell them for now.”

Although Su Yuxian was a bit puzzled by Ye Feiʼs words, she had always been indecisive. And now that she had given her body and soul to Ye Fei, she naturally obeyed him. She nodded and said, ”I know. Youʼd better go down quickly, or Xinʼer might come up.”

They say a mother knows best, and Ye Fei believed it now. Because just as he opened the door to go out, he saw Ming Yuexin running upstairs quickly. When she saw Ye Fei, she shouted in dissatisfaction, ”Are you getting your phone or moving house? Why are you so slow?”

Ye Fei secretly laughed at how impatient Ming Yuexin was, but he said with a smile, ”I was just saying goodbye to Auntie. What are you in such a hurry for?”

”Whatʼs there to say goodbye to? You can come whenever you want in the future. Thereʼs a whole bunch of things waiting for me to deal with at the bureau.

Do you think Iʼm like you, a little kid with nothing to do?” Seeing Ye Feiʼs indifferent look, Ming Yuexin was even more dissatisfied. She simply dragged him and ran downstairs quickly.

Su Yuxian watched Ye Fei and Ming Yuexin bickering with a smile. She was also happy for her daughter. She had always only cared about work and didnʼt even have a friend usually. It was rare for her to get along so well with Ye Fei. After only a few meetings, they already got along like real siblings.

Siblings? Thinking of this, Su Yuxian couldnʼt help but pause. Only then did she realize that Ye Fei was even younger than her daughter. She had fallen in love with such a young boy. Not only was her body completely conquered by him, but last night she had given him her heart without reservation.

It was really a bit absurd. But when she thought of Ye Feiʼs power and gentleness again, she felt that the age gap was nothing at all. There was only sweetness and shyness in her heart.

Of course, Ye Fei didnʼt know that Su Yuxian had such mental changes after he left. He took Ming Yuexinʼs car and asked her to drop him off at a crossroads.

Then he waved goodbye to her. Ming Yuexin seemed to really regard Ye Fei as her younger brother. Before leaving, she repeatedly told him to visit her at home or at work when he had time.

Only after Ye Fei promised again and again that he would go did she drive away satisfied.

Watching Ming Yuexinʼs car go far away, Ye Fei reached out to stop a taxi. After getting in, instead of telling the driver to go to Ye Lingtianʼs house, he said a place called Time Square, which was not far from there.

Now that the previous head of the Ye family had passed away and Ye Fei had taken over, it was not a secret.

Under the all-pervasive media publicity, even ordinary citizens knew the news. And with the mediaʼs exaggeration, after getting rid of Ye Yu, the devil in the hearts of the people of Wang Hai city, he was undoubtedly a superhuman-like hero.

If he said he was going to the Ye familyʼs courtyard, the driver might immediately guess his identity. He didnʼt want people to look at him like he was a monster.
