Urban Seduction: Housewives Club

Chapter 127: Revisiting Ming Yuexin

Over the years, Liu Fengyi had appeared to be on top of the world, but only she knew the pain she kept hidden. As a mature woman, she naturally had her moments of need. However, for certain reasons, her husband never touched her, leaving her to occasionally take matters into her own hands.

Today, thinking about Ye Fei had stirred up those urges again. She found that reminiscing about him made her feel more alive than usual, especially when she recalled the way he had pressed against her. She couldnʼt help but wish that he would really be with her, a thought that made her blush in secret. Once it entered her mind, she couldnʼt shake it off.

With these conflicting thoughts, Liu Fengyiʼs movements quickened until a shiver ran through her body, and she gradually calmed down, soon drifting into a sweet sleep with a shy smile on her face, perhaps dreaming of Ye Fei... and his presence.

At a little after seven in the morning, Ye Fei woke up to a sneeze. Opening his eyes, he saw Ye Jing, her face full of mischief, tickling his nose with a strand of her hair. Seeing him awake, she burst into giggles.

Though he had only slept for a little over three hours, Ye Feiʼs body was incredibly strong, so he didnʼt feel the slightest bit groggy. With his mind made up, the troubles that had been bothering him for days were gone, and he was in high spirits. He leaped out of bed, laughing, ”You little rascal, messing with your brother. Just you wait!”

Ye Jing stared at Ye Fei, then suddenly screamed, ”Youʼre such a bad guy!” Her face flushed, she ran out quickly.

Ye Fei was initially puzzled, but then he looked down and understood. Because of the hot weather, he hadnʼt worn pajamas to bed, and now his boxer shorts were tented by his very energetic ”friend.” No wonder Ye Jing had reacted that way.

What Ye Fei didnʼt understand was why Ye Jing seemed to know what it was now when she hadnʼt yesterday. What he didnʼt know was that although Ye Jing had never been close to a boy, she had taken biology classes and seen pictures. Last night, it was her first time encountering it, so she didnʼt think much of it. But now that she saw it clearly, she understood what it was.

In Ye Feiʼs mind, Ye Jing was still just a little girl, so he didnʼt mind her seeing it. He quickly got dressed and went downstairs.

By this time, Xu Shuyun was already up and had prepared breakfast. She looked much better than the day before, likely because she had slept well.

When Ye Jing saw Ye Fei, her face flushed again. She now realized that what had pressed against her last night was that same ”naughty” thing. Just thinking about it made her heart race, and she wondered why her brotherʼs was so much bigger than what she had seen in pictures.

At Xu Shuyunʼs invitation, Ye Fei sat down at the dining table. Looking at Xu Shuyunʼs stunningly beautiful face, which seemed even more radiant than the day before, he said with a smile, ”Auntie, you look really well-rested today.”

All women care about their appearance, and Xu Shuyun was no exception. When she had looked in the mirror that morning, she had noticed the change. She knew it was because of Ye Feiʼs reassuring presence last night that she had felt so safe for the first time in over a year, allowing her to rest so well. Recalling the unintentional intimacy from yesterday, her face turned a little red. But as a university lecturer, she wasnʼt like those inexperienced young girls and quickly composed herself, smiling gently, ”Is that so? Thatʼs great. Now, breakfast is getting cold. Hurry up and eat; you still need to go to school.”

Ye Fei didnʼt say more, just dug into his meal, constantly praising Xu Shuyunʼs cooking. His ravenous eating made Ye Jing giggle, and a faint smile appeared on Xu Shuyunʼs face, as if she was seeing the young Ye Fei again.

It wasnʼt until breakfast was almost over that Ye Lingtian, yawning and stretching, emerged from his study. He walked up to the table, ate noisily without acknowledging anyone, and then left.

After Ye Lingtian left, the smiles on Xu Shuyun and Ye Jingʼs faces disappeared. Seeing his haggard appearance, Ye Feiʼs mood also turned somber. Dealing with Ye Yu would be easy, but if Ye Lingtian really had been drugged by Ye Yu, Ye Fei wasnʼt sure what to do. Even the notorious ”Evil Deity” criminal organization hadnʼt found a way to counteract the effects of that drug.

Although Ye Fei was almost certain that Ye Lingtian had been poisoned, he didnʼt tell Xu Shuyun and Ye Jing yet. He was confident he could take care of Ye Yu within two days. There was no need to worry them now. If he told them, Xu Shuyun might be okay, but Ye Jing, whose personality was similar to Ye Yunqiʼs, would probably rush to confront Ye Yu, which would ruin his plans.

After breakfast, Xu Shuyun went back to her room and put on the same outfit Ye Fei had seen her in yesterday. The three of them left the house together. Although their family was wealthy, Xu Shuyun didnʼt pursue luxury like other rich wives. She usually wore her schoolʼs standard uniform.

After they left, Ye Fei walked a little ways before hailing a taxi. Instead of going back to school, he headed to the South District. On the way, he called Ye Yunqi and told her he wouldnʼt be going to school today, asking her to take a leave for him. Ye Yunqi knew her brother was going after Ye Yu. Although she knew his abilities, she still wanted to go with him. Ye Fei had to coax her a few times before she finally agreed to stay behind.

After more than half an hour, the taxi stopped in front of the South District Police Station, as Ye Fei had directed. He paid the fare and walked into the place he had visited once before.

Along the way, quite a few people greeted Ye Fei. After all, he had humiliated Zhang Yu during his last visit. Zhang Yu was already unpopular in the station, and everyone was happy to see him lose face. So, they remembered Ye Fei as the one who had made Zhang Yu keep his head down for a long time.

Since he had been here before, Ye Fei knew where Ming Yuexinʼs office was. He didnʼt need to ask anyone and went straight to the building where her office was located. The people here remembered him even more vividly. When he passed a young policeman who vaguely recognized him, the officer joked, ”Isnʼt that Ye Fei? Are you here to see your sister?”

After the cafeteria incident, everyone knew that Ye Fei wasnʼt really Ming Yuexinʼs brother. He had just been playing a trick on Zhang Yu. But they all enjoyed joking around with this interesting kid.

Ye Fei laughed and said, ”Yeah, I need to talk to her. Is she here?”

”Youʼve got good timing. Chief Ming hasnʼt gone out on patrol today. Sheʼs in her office,” the young officer said, pointing the way, before going back to his work.

Ye Fei walked up to Ming Yuexinʼs office and knocked gently on the door. After hearing her say ”Come in,” he entered. Once again, he saw her stunningly beautiful face, full of spirit. But at the moment, Ming Yuexin seemed troubled. Her slender, elegant eyebrows were tightly furrowed, and her worried expression gave Ye Fei a strangely familiar feeling.
