Urban Seduction: Housewives Club

Chapter 129: Ye Yuʼs Downfall

Ming Yuexin looked at the subordinates who had gathered around her for various reasons but were now completely loyal to her. However, she hesitated. Although she had the evidence in hand, the Ye familyʼs power was truly overwhelming. She couldnʼt guarantee a definite victory this time. If she failed to bring down Ye Yu, losing her job would be the least of her worries. But if she implicated these subordinates, she would feel terribly sorry for them.

”I called you here to carry out a top - secret mission. The target is a powerful criminal gang. I canʼt guarantee the success of this mission. If we fail, you may ruin your careers. So, before we set out, I want everyone to think it over. If anyone doesnʼt want to go, I wonʼt force you.” After much hesitation, Ming Yuexin decided to be honest with her subordinates.

Sure enough, after hearing Ming Yuexinʼs words, many people showed hesitant expressions on their faces. They all knew that Ming Yuexin was usually extremely decisive and had never been so hesitant before. Since she said so, it was very likely that, as she said, their careers would be ruined.

Seeing their reactions, Ming Yuexin secretly sighed. She had thought things were too simple. She had thought that with these things in hand, she could deal with Ye Yu, but she didnʼt expect that the internal issue within her own team would be so difficult to overcome.

”What do you mean? Donʼt forget that we are police officers. As police officers, our primary task is to protect the safety of citizens and fight against criminal forces. Weʼre even willing to sacrifice our lives if necessary. Now, just the possibility of ruining our careers makes you forget your responsibilities? Chief, just give the order for the mission. I, Yang Guang, will be the first to go with you!” The speaker was a girl in her early twenties. Although her looks were not as stunning as Ming Yuexinʼs, she was only slightly less beautiful. And compared to Ming Yuexinʼs seriousness, her round face and petite figure made her extremely cute. Her popularity in the sub - bureau was no less than Ming Yuexinʼs.

Ming Yuexin looked at this girl who had been assigned from the police academy for less than three months and was already regarded as another beauty in the sub - bureau besides herself. She secretly admired her. Yang Guangʼs words came at just the right time.

Sure enough, after hearing Yang Guangʼs words, those people blushed a little. Thinking about how they had always looked down on those old - fashioned veteran police officers before, but now their own behavior was no different from them.

”Xiao Yang is right. If weʼre afraid of those criminal forces, what are we still wearing this uniform for? Chief, give the order!” It has to be said that once the blood of young people is aroused, itʼs more intense than anything. With one personʼs words, everyone expressed their positions one after another, and not a single person chose to withdraw.

”Good!” Ming Yuexinʼs expression turned serious, returning to her usual solemnity. She shouted loudly, ”Everyone, turn off your phones. The target is the Ye Family Hall. Letʼs go!”

The Ye Family Hall was the headquarters of the Lingyun Society, and almost everyone in Wang Hai city knew this. These police officers were even more aware of it. At this moment, when they heard that they were going to deal with the Ye family, they couldnʼt help but feel a little scared, but they were more excited. Over the past year or so, the Ye family had become more and more excessive, to the point that even an ordinary citizen couldnʼt stand it, let alone these police officers with a strong sense of justice.

Just by looking at the chiefʼs expression, they knew that she must have some powerful incriminating evidence in hand. So, this battle might really be successful. If they succeeded, they would be the heroes of Wang Hai city. And even if they didnʼt succeed, just the thought of it in the future would be enough to make them proud.

A line of seven or eight police cars sped towards the Ye Family Hall located in the city center. Originally, as the South Sub - Bureau, Ming Yuexin and her team were somewhat crossing the boundary. However, with the support of Liu Fengyi, everything was different.

At this time, Ye Yu was in the conference room of the Ye Family Hall, but he was not as leisurely as usual. Yes, he was in trouble and was currently in a stand - off with a group of people.

”Ye Yu, Iʼm only going to ask you one thing today. What on earth do you want to turn the Lingyun Society into before youʼre satisfied?” The speaker was a gray - haired old man named Zhang Yide. He was a great hero who had fought side - by - side with Ye Feiʼs grandfather back then. His prestige in the society was extremely high, second only to the late Elder Ye and Ye Lingyun, and even higher than Ye Lingtian.

”Grandpa Zhang, what do you mean? What have I done wrong?” Ye Yu was also very annoyed at this time. Although he knew that these old guys had long been dissatisfied with him, he didnʼt expect them to challenge him at this time.

”What have you done?” Zhang Yide sneered. ”Look at what youʼve done since you took power this year. Smuggling, drug - dealing, forcing the innocent into prostitution. Is there any bad thing you donʼt dare to do? Have you completely forgotten the Lingyun Societyʼs ancestral teachings?”

Ye Yu snorted and said, ”What ancestral teachings? All I know is that Iʼve made the Lingyun Society earn countless more money this year, and my father also fully supports me!”

When it came to Ye Lingtian, Zhang Yide became even angrier and shouted, ”I was just about to ask Xiaotian. What on earth is he doing? He actually raised such a scoundrel like you. It would be better if he took charge of the Lingyun Society himself.”

Hearing that Zhang Yide actually intended to depose him, Ye Yuʼs expression changed, and he shouted, ”Zhang Yide, are you trying to rebel?”

Zhang Yide said solemnly, ”Think whatever you want. Anyway, the foundation that Elder Ye painstakingly built canʼt be destroyed by you, you bastard!” With that, he waved his hand at the people behind him, and a large group of people stood up.

Ye Yu had been in charge of the Lingyun Society for over a year, and of course, he had some people who supported him. But compared to those behind Zhang Yide, they were much fewer. However, Ye Yu didnʼt show any signs of panic. He just sneered and said, ”Are you going to take action?”

Zhang Yide ignored him and just motioned with his hand for everyone to arrest Ye Yu. Ye Yu took a few steps back and suddenly shouted towards the door, ”All of you come in. Today, let them know who really calls the shots in the Lingyun Society!”

As soon as Ye Yuʼs voice fell, the door of the conference room was kicked open, and then a large group of people rushed in.

”Donʼt let anyone go!” Ye Yu gave a ruthless order. But then his face changed drastically. It turned out that the people who came in were not the ones he had arranged, but a large group of police officers.

”Ye Yu, Iʼm now charging you with drug - dealing, smuggling...” Ming Yuexin walked out from behind the police officers and announced a long list of his crimes to Ye Yu. Then she shouted sharply, ”Arrest him!”

Ye Yuʼs eyes turned red, and he turned to Zhang Yide and said, ”You actually colluded with the police to deal with me?”

Zhang Yide was also a bit puzzled by the arrival of the police. However, he was glad to see Ye Yu being brought to justice, and he only hoped that Ye Yu wouldnʼt implicate the other brothers in the society.
