New Age Of Summoners

Edmond became speechless when he heard Udo’s words and became silent for a moment.

”It doesn’t matter now. We have many things to do now and not to forget we have to change the plans because of the tests from the six vagrant cultivators,”

Nevertheless. He shook his head and tried to convince Udo to stop worrying about Ajax.

’Sigh’

Udo looked at Edmond for a moment before nodding his head with a sigh.

”Good”

Edmond took a deep breath and started saying, ”Everyone, for the next 7 days, take as much rest as possible and try to maintain your top condition. Now, disperse.”

As soon as he gave his orders, Edmond left the main hall along with Udo.

’Yes, we need to be in our top condition. Let’s meet in a week,’

’Okay, everyone. I will also go back to my room’

Soon, everyone bid their goodbyes and left to their rooms to take a rest.

Since the nine cultivators fought against the demon army, they were still tired and with the earlier announcement, they decided to take full rest for the next 7 days to reach their top conditions.

”Lewis, Jeff, I will go and take some rest,”

Ajax also bid goodbyes to Lewis and Jeff before going back to the room in which senior brother Levi was resting.

’Creak’

’Woah. Th..this is,’

He opened the door to that room and he was shocked by what he had seen in there.

.....

In the royal hall,

”Your majesty, the intelligence group sent some important news that will shock the entire Zrochester province,”

Commander Reid kneeled on one knee and reported to Stephen Draton with a scroll in his shaking hands.

In front of him, the king of the Zrochester province, who was sitting on his throne chairs with a frown on his face.

”What is it?”

He was already annoyed with the lack of respect on commander Reid’s face and adding with some important news, it made him irritated as he knew it was definitely not good news.

That’s right! After Commander Reid was threatened by the kind, he didn’t show any respect he had shown prior to his threatening.

As for the intelligence group, it was a small unit that gathers the information across the Zrochester province and if there were any threats to the kingdom, it would be sent to the king. As for other information, it would be sent to other groups under the royal family which would take care of those things.

”At the mercenary guild, many cultivators saw the 5 powerful old cultivators flying towards the guild and when they reached the guild building, they disappeared into thin air,”

Commander Reid continued to read the information on the scroll in his hands, ”According to those cultivators, their cultivation is definitely greater than normal peak elite general realm cultivators.”

After finishing his reading, the commander Reid closed the scroll and kept it away.

”What? Five powerful old cultivators?”

As soon as he heard the commander Reid’s words, King Stephen Draton immediately stood up from his throne chair and asked Reid for confirmation.

”Yes, your majesty,”

Commander Reid nodded his head and in the depths of his heart, he felt happy when he saw the anxious look on King Stephen Draton’s face.

’That’s definitely them. I knew it. They can’t die that easily. Are they back for revenge?’

King Stephen Draton suppressed his anxiousness and silently thought in his head.

”I think, they are the six vagrant cultivators, your majesty; however, in the report, there are only the sightings of five cultivators,”

Commander Reid was in the royal army for more than 2 decades and knew who could make the powerful royal family worry just by their names. So, Commander Reid intentionally brought the topic of the ’Six vagrant cultivators’.

”Haha...So, what if it is six vagrant cultivators?”

Soon, King Stephen stopped feeling anxious when he remembered something and continued, ”Their leader is already powerless. So, even if they come back to take revenge, they will die even before they could cause any damage to us.”

”Huh?”

Commander Reid didn’t understand what his King was speaking and confusedly looked at the King.

”Don’t look confused, Reid. Do you know the leader of the six vagrant cultivators is none other than the guild master of the mercenary guild,”

Looking at the confused look on the commander Reid’s face, King Stephen walked towards him and revealed something that made Commander Reid shocked.

However, it only lasted for a few seconds before nodding his head.

’No wonder, the royal family always avoided the mercenary guild and secretly did everything it could to destroy the mercenary guild,’

From the start, commander Reid was skeptical of the actions of the royal family; however, after knowing the truth, he secretly laughed inside his heart.

”I know you must be feeling happy at the appearance of the six vagrant cultivators; however, let me remember you something, the guild master is severely injured in the fight against the demon king a decade ago. So, there is no way, they can’t win against us,”

King Stephen guessed that commander Reid would be feeling happy with the appearance of the six vagrant cultivators because he knew they always opposed the royal family and the royal family was unable to do anything to them.

So, he wanted to crush that inner happiness in Commander Reid by remembering him about the injuries of the guild master.

”Your majesty, I know they can’t win against the royal family even if the guild master was injured. But, you still have some unknown fear towards them that made you and the royal ministers behind you worried about them,” However, commander Reid replied to King Stephen with an expressionless face before ending his reply with, ”The worry is real that made you avoid the mercenary guild and that is the reason, who always instigated the top three sects towards them instead of attacking for yourself.”

”Enough. Go out,”

When he heard the commander Reid’s word, King Stephen became angry and shouted at him to go out of the royal hall.

”Yes, your majesty. If you need anything just send a message to me,”

Commander Reid maintained the same expressionless face and left the royal hall.

However, just when he turned back to leave the royal hall, a bright smile appeared on his face.

Today was the happiest day for the commander Reid as he was able to successfully irritate King Stephen in a polite way.

’This commander Reid is becoming more and more brazen with his words now a day assuming that I will not kill him anytime soon; however, when I completely use, I will torture you and your entire family,’

After the commander Reid left the royal family, King Stephen clenched his hands and thought in his head.

That’s right! The royal family still needed the commander Reid and that was the reason why King Stephen didn’t say anything to the commander Reid even when he knew that commander Reid was intentionally annoying him.

”Come here,”

Just as he was in his thoughts, King Stephen heard a deep voice from an opened door to his left.

”Huh? Master?”

Stephen became serious when he saw the door to his left was opened and he heard his master’s voice.

Without wasting any time, he immediately entered the room and closed the door.

”I heard someone mention ’Six vagrant cultivators’. Are they back?”

The room was entirely filled with some golden coloured mist and as soon as he entered the room, King Stephen once again heard the familiar voice and became excited.

”Master, where are you? I am unable to see,”

However, he was able to see his master whom he assumed dead until now.

”I am here. This golden colour mist is me and I don’t have much time before I once again enter into slumber,” The deep voice once again resounded in the room through the golden coloured mist.

”What? You are the golden mist?”

King Stephen became shocked when he heard those words and hurriedly stopped walking in the golden coloured mist fearing that his master would disappear if he entered into it.

”Haha...no need to worry about it,” the voice laughed at the actions of King Stephen before saying, ”Let me warn you. Don’t fight the six vagrants yet. I need some more time to be resurrected. Until then, even if you have to apologize to them, you have to do it. Do you understand?”

In the end, the voice slowly became weak as though the owner of the voice seemed to not have any energy to speak much longer.

”What? You are resurrecting? Great. Even if I have to kneel, I will do it for you master,”

King Stephen became excited when he heard those words because his master meant everything to him. So, he didn’t hesitate to apologize to the guild master for not sending reinforcements.

”Good. I know about you, my dear disciple. Until then please take care. Now go,”

As soon as the deep voice finished its words, the door to the room opened.

”Yes, master. I hope you will be resurrected soon,”

Without wasting any time, King Stephen left the room and closed it.

’I thought I was never going to see my master ever again. But my master is coming back to life. If I didn’t sense the familiar feeling inside the room, even if the voice belongs to my aster, I would have not believed it,’

After coming out of the room, he felt excited and all his previous irritation was gone.
