New Age Of Summoners

From the look on the sea tauren’s face, the old man was able to say that the green-coloured pill in Ajax’s hand was something very important for the sear tauren.

’Usually, he acts very arrogantly even though I am the one who gave him the shelter; however, now he didn’t have that look on his face,’

The old man was literally surprised by the sea tauren’s odd behaviour after seeing the green-coloured pill in Ajax’s hand.

’Interesting. Looks like there is still some chance for this human to complete the trial,’

The old man revealed a small smile on his face and carefully listened to their conversation.

.....

In the middle section of the cursed wilderness,

While Ajax was making a deal with the rank 4 sea tauren that looked like a humanoid cow, in the ownerless dimensional crevice, the old guild master and others were patiently waiting for the third batch of the demon army.

”Okay then,”

All of a sudden, the old guild master stood up from the ground while continuing, ”Looks like the demon army has stopped their invasion. Although we don’t know the reason for stopping their invasion all of a sudden, we still need to be careful in the next few days.”

While saying that, there was a serious expression on the old guild master’s face.

”We understood, guild master and we will be careful,”

Blood rose and Edmond both nodded their heads and replied in unison after hearing the old guild master’s words.

”Good,”

The guild master nodded his head and looked into the direction in which Rulf and the other two mercenary squads had gone with him.

”Is there any news from Rulf,”

Although Edmond always liked to fight with Rulf. He didn’t want something to happen to Rulf as he knew Rulf was a very good cultivator.

’He is very good that one day that goodness will cost him his life,’ Edmond shook his head as he thought about Rulf’s personality.

Rulf was an orphan, who had suffered many difficult things in the cruel cultivation world; however, everything had changed after he had met the guild master, who took great care of him along with teaching him about various things.

However, Edmond knew that Rulf’s biggest weakness was Humanity.

’He only thinks of protecting the humans from other races; however, he still didn’t understand the cunningness of the Royal family and other top powers in the Zrochester province. I hope after today’s incident he will understand about them,’

Edmond knew almost everything about Rulf and always tried to change him. That was also the reason, they became rivals and could not stand the sight of one another.

”I am about to say about it,” The old man looked at Edmond and continued, ”I received a message from Rulf that the second batch of the demon army is successfully annihilated by Rulf along with two mercenary squads and reinforcements from the Royal family.”

”As I expected. The royal family doesn’t want anything to happen to the people that have high value for them,”

After hearing the old guild master’s words, Edmond smiled as he looked at the guild master.

”I will not forget today’s incident and will definitely pay back to the royal family,” The old guild clenched his fists as he knew what would have happened if the third batch of the demon army came right after their spirit consciousness became empty.

”Although I am not as experienced as you, guild master. I already knew about the intentions of the top powers. They want nothing but power and don’t want a new power to rise in the Zrochester province,”

After thinking for a moment, Edmond shared some of his beliefs and understanding of the top powers in the Zrochester province.

Among all the top powers like Royal family, three top sects and five great families and the mercenary guild, the mercenary guild was the new power that started rising in the Zrochester province in the last two decades.

All the old top powers thought that the mercenary guild was rising in power very fast, they wanted to stop it. So, they didn’t send reinforcements as they wanted more damage to happen to the mercenary guild and its mercenaries.

”Anyway, back to the top,” Soon, the old guild master stopped thinking about the top powers for now and continued, ”Rulf said he has something to say and wanted all of you to come to the mercenary guild. What do you say?”

The old guild master looked quite serious as he asked Edmond, Blood rose and Darbaudr.

”I am always ready,”

”Me too”

Both Edmond and Blood rose nodded their heads at the old guild master before looking at the Barbarian beside them.

”I will go with you,”

Darbaudr agreed with the old guild master and decided to go to the mercenary guild to attend the meeting.

”Huh? Where is Ajax?”

When the old guild master looked at Darbaudr, he suddenly thought about Ajax and checked his surroundings to find him.

”That’s right! I haven’t seen him for a couple of hours now,”

Soo, Edmond also started checking his surroundings as he became anxious.

”No need to be worried. Master said that he was going to the mercenary residence building to take some rest,”

Looking at their worried faces, Darbaudr shook his head and lied to them about Ajax.

Because Ajax wanted Darabudr to cover for him. So, he just followed his orders.

”No wonder, I can’t sense Ajax within 10 kilometers around me,”

The old guild master revealed a smile and replied to Darbaudr.

Soon, Edmond and Blood rose also stopped worrying about Ajax as they knew that Ajax now had the capabilities to venture the middle-section of the cursed wilderness.

’I guess, Ajax disappeared from here because he has some other things to do. I wonder how much his strength will increase after his return,’

Although Edmond didn’t know what exactly Ajax was doing to improve his cultivation in the shortest time possible, he didn’t doubt Ajax for being a demonic cultivator.

So, he was looking forward to Ajax’s return.

”Everyone, I am glad all the mercenaries of my mercenary guild didn’t die. As for your hard work, I will increase your rewards for killing the demons by 100 percent. You can go and collect it from Sarah,”

After that, the old guild master turned towards the mercenaries who healed most of their wounds and said in a loud voice for every single mercenary to hear.

”Excellent,”

”As expected of the guild master. Magnanimous as always”

”Unlike the other top powers, the mercenary guild is the only top power that gives regular benefits to their members,”

When the mercenaries heard the old guild master’s words, they became excited and shouted out loud while muttering the good things about the mercenary guild.

’Swoosh’

’Swoosh’

Soon, all the mercenaries didn’t waste any time and rushed towards the mercenary guild to exchange their kills for rewards from the mercenary guild.

”Now, it is also time for us to go back to the mercenary guild and have a small meeting with Rulf and others,”

The old guild master looked at Edmond and others and revealed a smile that made Edmond think that the guild master was planning something.
