New Age Of Summoners

Edmond was very careful in killing the demon servants around the three young cultivators he was protecting while they were awakening.

However, when he was clearing the demon servants around silver goliath, a demon servant managed to sneak upon King killer and Edmond was completely surrounded by the demon servants and he could not reach him in time. So, he became anxious.

Nevertheless, he calmed himself as he knew becoming anxious wouldn’t help them much and swung the heavy sword in his head with full force which killed more than 5 demon servants.

’I need to be quicker, if I waste any more time, I can’t reach in time to save him,’ Seeing the demon servant was about to reach the King killer, Edmond’s heavy sword became even faster and hacked the demon servants.

The demon servant slowly walked towards the King killer, who remained motionless with his eyes closed. King killer was completely oblivious to his surroundings as he needed to fully focus on his awakening for it to be successful.

’Slash’

’Puchhi’

Edmond slashed the heavy sword in his hands like a mad man and within a few moments, he cleared the demon servants that were surrounding him and rushed towards the King killer to save him.

Although Edmond was using his full speed he was unable to reach in time and the demon servant caught up to the king killer and kept a small dagger around the neck of the King killer.

”Wait”

Edmond realized that he won’t be able to save King killer with his speed anymore and all of a sudden, he stopped in his tracks before shouting at the Demon servant to stop.

”Hehe”

To his surprise, the demon servant revealed a cunning laugh as he looked at Edmond but still he didn’t slash the dagger on the King killer’s neck.

’Huh? Is he a mutated demon servant? No wonder he was able to suppress the side effects of the rage potion,’ Looking at the cunning laugh on the demon servant’s face, Edmond silently thought that this demon servant was not a normal one and must be a mutated one.

The reason for his thinking was that the demon servants that were sent to invade other worlds were to be consumed a rage potion.

As the name suggests, a rage potion was a one-time consumable item that could increase the strength of those who consumed it for a day. However, that strength comes at the cost of a few side-effects.

One, for a whole day, they lose rational thinking and only follow what they were ordered to do before they consumed the rage potion.

Another one was they need complete rest for 15-30 days depending on the body structure of the consumer.

Therefore, when he saw a demon servant that was behaving with intelligence, Edmond thought that it must be a mutated one just like the elite demon general they had just killed a few minutes earlier.

”I want something from you. If you give it, I will leave this human kid,” As Edmond was thinking in his head, the demon servant looked at Edmond and said that he wanted something from Edmond.

’Huh?’ Edmond raised his brows when he heard those words and became alert as he knew that ’One should not believe the demon in any case, at any cost’.

However, the life of King killer was in the hands of the demon servant. So, he didn’t want to risk it and nodded his head as though he agreed to the deal with the demon servant.

Edmond treated every one among the nine young cultivators equally. But, still, he had high hopes for the King killer as he had personally trained his own fighting techniques and to his surprise, the King killer had secretly learned his fighting style.

Nevertheless, even if there was anyone other than King killer, Edmond would have done the same as he always thought that everyone was his children.

”What do you want?”

Edmond asked the demon servant with a voice that even made the demon servant shiver.

There was a reason for why he used the serious voice as it would make the demon servant think that he was not thinking much about King killer.

If an enemy knows that a certain someone would do anything for the sake of a hostage, then they would ask for more. So, Edmond maintained a nonchalant expression on his face.

Darbaudr and Udo cleared the demon servants around the other nine young cultivators and looked at the King killer, who was taken as a hostage by a mutated demon servant.

’Is there anything you can do with your spatial affinity skills?’ Udo asked Darbadur through the voice transmission about his spatial skills.

Since Darabudr had a great affinity with the space elements of the essence of nature, Udo asked him whether he could transport himself behind the demon servant and save the King killer.

’The demon servant is very close to the king killer and what’s more, the dagger is almost cutting the King killer’s neck. So, it will be impossible for me to try my spatial skills to save him,’ However, Darbaudr shook his head and said he could not do anything since the demon servant was very close to the King killer.

’Sigh...then we have to give him what he wants and at the same time, we need to be careful in taking back the King killer from him,’ Udo sighed as alerted Darbaudr, putting aside his doubts about him.

’Yes,’ Darabdur also didn’t bother with Udo’s past behaviour and remained focused.

’Huh? Are these nine brothers and sisters trying to awaken something or what?’ Ajax only focused on killing demon servants until now and didn’t look at the nine young cultivators.

So, when he looked at King killer remained motionless even with a dagger placed on his neck by the demon servant made him relate it to some awakening.

Even when he was taken as a hostage by the demon servant, the king killer, who always had an arrogant look on his face maintained that look and didn’t bother with the demon servant behind him and continued to remain his eyes closed.

’Only if Necros is here, I would have saved him without much difficulty,’ Ajax thought about Necros, who was still under the side effects of using the strength potion.

With Necros’ blind skill, Ajax thought that he could have saved the King killer without much difficulty.

’Looks like King killer might have some plan, I will wait for sometime before using the ’Absolute darkness,’’

When he saw the usual arrogant look on King killer’s face, Ajax stopped worrying about him and resumed his killing as he knew that he didn’t have anything that could save the King killer without harming him from the demon servant and decided to leave it to Edmond and others who have very fast reflexes.

Since King killer and Edmond were having some kind of plan, he didn’t want to interrupt it as it might cause the current predicament to become even more complex.

”Hehe….I only have a simple request,” the demon servant looked at Edmond and continued, ”I only need a drop of blood essence from you three cultivators.”
