New Age Of Summoners

Even though he looked serious, it was only his anxiousness to stop the demon army before it could exit the cursed wilderness. Nevertheless, he always valued Rulf’s thoughts and he didn’t take his warning lightly before. So, he slowed down his speed a little and waited for Rulf to speak about the reason he thought for one of his earlier questions.

”Guild master, what do you say, if I said that the demons were looking for something in the cursed abyss?” Rulf finally mustered his courage and said his thoughts about the actions of the demons.

”There is a chance for them to do that. But what is that valuable for them to send an entire army?” The old guild master agreed with him but he asked another question from that possibility.

According to the guild master, who had adventured most of the dangerous places in the cursed wilderness and cursed abyss to finish some high danger rating missions knew that there were not many valuable things for demons to send a demon army. So, he still wasn’t able to believe Rulf’s words completely.

Nevertheless, he didn’t directly strike off the possibility and waited for Rulf to explain why he had thought like that.

”At the moment I don’t know but I can state two reasons for this possibility,” Rulf shook his head at the guild master question; however, he replied with a serious look on his face that he could back his possibility with two reasons.

”Go on,” The guild master motioned Rulf to continue speaking with his hand without stopping his run.

Rulf saw that the old guild master didn’t believe him completely but still gave him some chance from his previous assumptions that helped them very much. So, he thought that he should not make the old guild master not believe him in the future.

”First, the demon generals were trying to force the ’Demon Killer’ mercenary squad members out of the cursed abyss,” Rulf said with a full confident look on his face and continued saying another fact, ”And the demons opened that portal in the middle section of the cursed wilderness, which is quite a long distance even for us to travel and they were trying to bring all the human experts towards the cursed wilderness.”

Rulf didn’t waste any time and completed speaking in one breath and waited for the old guild master to comment on his thoughts.

”Huh? Good...your thinking is always the best,” the old guild master stopped all of sudden and looked at Rulf before praising his thinking ability.

’Phew’

Seeing that, Rulf also stopped running and heaved a sigh of relief that the guild master’s response was good.

”And why do you think, they want to gather in the cursed wilderness when they could use a few high-level demon experts to enter the human world and silently take away what they want from the cursed abyss,”

However, the old guild master poured another bucket of cold water on his thoughts which made Rulf start thinking about it.

Rulf never took the old guild master’s remarks in a negative way; instead, he always thought about what made the old guild master say what he had said.

”Nevermind, this time the demons have various reasons for their attack. First, they want to test me. Second, they want something from the cursed abyss and third, there must be another reason for why they want every human expert to gather in the cursed wilderness,” The old guild master concluded this matter into three reasons that the demons want to achieve from this demon invasion.

”So, what should we do now, guild master?” Rulf, as always sought the old guild master advice as he experienced how the guild master was known to make careful decisions.

”We can only do one thing now,”

The old guild master looked into the direction they had just come from and continued saying, ”Let’s separate here. I will go back to the cursed abyss and you go to the co-ordinates sent by Edmond and aid him in stopping the demon army.”

”But, guild master,”

”There are no buts. This is not a request, it is an order. So, be careful and try to stop the demon army,” the old guild master interrupted Rulf and ordered in a serious tone.

”Yes, sir,”

Rulf didn’t dare to say anything and nodded his head.

”By the way, if it is necessary, you can use your full power without any hesitation and kill the demons,” The old guild master paused for a second before saying, ”I am leaving the protection of my mercenary guild in your hands. So, don’t let me down.”

After saying his words, the old guild master disappeared from his place without a trace.

”Did he just say to use my full power?” Rulf knew that the old guild master wouldn’t listen to anyone and would do what he wanted to do; however, what shocked him was his words.

’He always said not to use it in front of anyone and why is he giving permission to use it?’ Rulf silently thought in his head before concluding, ”Whatever, since the old man has given permission to use it, I will enjoy it for a while then.”

All of a sudden, Rulf became excited as he looked towards the direction that the old guild master had left before running towards Edmond’s direction.

’I should protect the mercenary guild building at any cost. It is the only place that can make his old guild master relax peacefully,’ As he was running, Rulf thought about it and swore to protect the building at any cost.

’I hope he can truly control the power inside him this time without my presence,’ the old guild master, who was running in the opposite direction from that of Rulf has thought in his head with a serious expression on his face.

...…..

”Udo, just a few more minutes, then the awakening will be finished,”

In the outer section of the cursed wilderness, Edmond shouted at Udo and asked him to protect the young cultivators from the demon servants while they were awakening something.

Edmond did not know that the guild master was not coming towards him and only Rulf was coming to aid him. He was killing the demon servants that were coming towards the three young cultivators, King killer, Kind mantis and Silver goliath.

Whereas Udo cleared the demon servants around Snow storm, Moon shadow and Bright shadow.

As for the Barbarian, Darbaudr protected the Heaven raven, Dark flame and Fearless gorilla.

They were continuously killing the demon servants around these nine young cultivators for a while now and Edmond warned Udo and the Darbaudr to just continue their actions for some more time.

’Nods’

Udo and Darbaudr nodded their heads in agreement with Edmond’s words and paid full attention to their surroundings.

”Ajax, are you alright? Do you need any help?” After getting the acknowledgement from Udo and the barbarian, Edmond looked at Ajax and asked him.

”I am fine, Captain Edmond. I have justice and my shadow clone,” Ajax pointed at the two figures in front of him and gave a slight smile to Edmond.

Edmond nodded his head.

”No,”

Just when he was about to clear the demon servants once again, a demon servant sneaked upon King killer that made Edmond anxious.
