New Age Of Summoners

When Ajax heard Rulf’s question to the guild master, he looked at the old man for a reason.

”Haha…,”

Instead of explaining, the guild master started laughing making Rulf and Ajax’s faces become serious.

”Okay okay...I will say,” Saying their serious faces, the guild master finally gave in and continued, ”Youngsters nowadays seriously lack manners towards the older man.”

”Anyway, let me explain why he said that. After Ajax entered the Hazegroove mercenary squad, Edmond continuously broke through in his cultivation, Udo also broke through a couple of minor realms, Paulin became a summoner, Lewis and Jeff also worked hard and increased their cultivations. Overall, the strength of the Hazegroove mercenary squad has increased very much,”

From beginning to end, the guild master didn’t even breathe and explained what Edmond had said to him about Ajax being their lucky charm.

”Haha”

As soon as he heard that, Ajax was unable to control his laughter and started laughing before saying, ”Guild master, it has nothing to do with me. They worked hard and their cultivation increased. That’s all.”

”Whatever, I just said what Edmond has said to me,” the guild master shook his head and replied back to Ajax.

”Guild master, what happened in the cursed abyss?” After their introductions, Rulf asked about his doubts about the guild master.

”What you have guessed it right, Rulf. The demons were searching for something in the cursed abyss,” The guild master briefly explained about his encounter with the demon king Gareth.

”What? Even a demon king has come for that item? What is it, guild master?” Rulf was shocked when he heard that a demon king personally came to search for something in the cursed abscess.

’Are they talking about the dimensional crevice?’ Ajax also became incredibly shocked and became anxious; however, he waited for the guild master to finish his story. So, he could get a rough approximation about the situation in the guild master.

”He was searching for a dimensional crevice,” the guild master slowly said what the demons were searching in the cursed abyss.

”What? A dimensional crevice?” Rulf got stunned by the guild master’s words and hurriedly asked, ”Did they claim ownership of that dimensional crevice?”

”Although they know that there is an ownerless dimensional crevice in the cursed abyss, they don’t know the exact location and judging by the size of the cursed abyss, it is impossible to find the exact location to the entrance of the dimensional crevice,” The old guild master smiled while he explained it.

”Then it’s a good thing,” Rulf heaved a sigh of relief and turned to look at the demon army before saying, ”I will join the fight and kill some demons as a warm for later fight.”

Almost every mercenary knew that whenever a demon army invades the human world, they would send the demons in three batches.

Amongst the three, that last batch of the demon army only have around 100 or 200 but all of them would have the peak general realm strength and what’s more they even know the formation skills.

With those formation skills, they could even kill a level 5 elite general realm cultivation without much difficulty.

”Save your strength for the third batch,” The guild master nodded his head and warned him not to overexert his strength.

”I know. What about you, Ajax? Are you coming?” Before rushing towards the demon army, Rulf glanced at Ajax and asked him.

’Although the guild master returned back from the cursed abyss, according to the system, someone is going to claim that ownerless dimensional crevice within 12 hours,’

While Rulf was asking him a question, Ajax was in deep thoughts about the dimensional crevice and didn’t hear Rulf’s words.

”Ajax, are you even listening to my words?” Rulf lightly slapped Ajax’s head and made him come out of his deep thoughts.

”I am listening,” Ajax immediately replied and looked at his surroundings as though he was shocked by something.

”So, join me. Let’s kill as many demons as possible before the third batch of the demon army comes out of the demon portal,” Rulf looked at the exciting fights between all the mercenaries and the demons and excitedly asked Ajax to join the fight along with him.

”Sure,” Ajax didn’t have any problem with joining the fight as he wanted to test a method anyway.

”Okay, guild master, see you later,” Rulf and Ajax rushed into the demon army.

’Swoosh’ ’Swoosh’

’Puchi’ ’Kacha’

Rulf, with his incredible speed, slashed his long and thin sword at a group of demon servants and killed them in a single slash.

He didn’t glance at the demon servant he had slashed once and proceeded to the other group of demon servants.

’Please heavens, let me gain the essence of nature from killing,’

While Rulf had already killed more than 20 demon servants in less than a minute, Ajax prayed heavens and slashed his inheritance sword at a couple of demon servants.

’Slash’

’Puchi’

’Thud’

Both the demon servants’ heads were separated from their remaining body from Ajax’s sword slash.

’Ding,

Killed a level 8 demon servant,

Gained 100 units of the essence of nature.

’Ding,

….

Two same system notifications appeared in front of Ajax that made him excited and he soon started laughing like a maniac.

’Slash’

’Slash’

’Ding,

    Killed…..

’Ding,

    Killed...

He continued to swing his sword at the demon servants and continued to kill the demon servants. With each system notification, his blood started rising that made him swing his sword even more.

’Even though I am getting only 100 units for even when I kill a peak level demon servant, it is not a problem. As long as I get the essence of nature from killing the demon servants, I can completely fill my spirit consciousness within less than 10 minutes,’

Ajax noticed that he was getting very fewer units of the essence of nature from the kills now when compared to his earlier kills; However, Ajax was already satisfied he was getting the essence of nature from killing the demon servants.

He continued to massacre the demon servants in front of him and totally forget about his surroundings. He was completely immersed in killing the demon servants as though it was the most favourite thing in this world for him.

’Ding,

The host’s spirit consciousness is filled by 99 percent. Suggesting the host to stop storing the essence of nature more than his spirit consciousness can hold.

Only when he heard the system notification, did Ajax come out of his immersion of killing the demon servants.

’My spirit consciousness is already filled?’ Ajax was surprised as he felt the time had passed very quickly.

He looked at his surroundings and noticed all the mercenaries and others were still fighting the demon servant without any rest.

’Sigh...if only I can summon my spirit beasts and elemental spirits to fight the demon army, it will be even more exciting for me,’ Ajax remembered his feeling of summoning all his summons in clearing the first batch of the demon army and sighed.

’I will fight for some more time and find an excuse to leave the battle,’ Ajax thought when he noticed that he only entered the battle for less than 10 minutes. So, he decided to fight using his rarely used skills.
