New Age Of Summoners

Chapter 1839  Rules of the Duel

In short, after completely absorbing the Energy Orbs in their bodies, each one of these Devourer Eagle Emperors became a powerhouse that was enough to destroy a low-level Greater World.

If they work together, they might even go against the Leaders of the Top Five Sects in the human region of the universe.

Of course, only if they fight the Leaders of the Top Five Sects individually and if those Leaders work together, they could kill these 11 Devourer Eagle Emperors with little to no effort.

Nevertheless, Ajax wonʼt let them fight the leaders of the Top Five Sects yet…for that, Ajax believes there is still some time.

ʼThere are still Seven Years left in the Floating Island and there is also the Celestial Dawn Realm and after them, there is the Dark Regio adventures. After all these events, I believe that each one of these Devourer Eagle Emperors could go against the Leaders of the Five Sects of the Human Race on their own.ʼ

Even though Ajax knew that he could make all his contracted spirit beasts very powerful in the future, he was sure about one thing and that was the Devourer Eagle Emperors were going to be one of the most powerful squads under him that could turn the entire universe upside down.

”Master, we received a voice transmission from the spirit of the Floating Island that one of the rulers is officially challenging us.”

Suddenly, Alder informed Ajax as he woke Ajax from his thoughts.

”Huh? Official Challenge?”

Ajax remembers that the system mentions something about the challenges between the Rulers; however, he didnʼt expect that Alder and other Devourer Eagle Emperors would be challenged as soon as they became the rulers of the Metal Region.

ʼIt looks like all the rulers of the Floating Island might know about the death of the Metal Region.ʼ

Ajax remained calm as he tried to understand the current situation.

”Master, according to the spirit of the Floating Island, we have to accept the challenge and canʼt reject it.”

Seeing that Ajax was silent, Alder informed Ajax about another thing that made Ajax raise his eyebrows.

”Since we canʼt reject the challenge, we can only accept it.”

Ajax didnʼt think much because he was already expecting some unexpected situation right after Alder and the other Devourer Eagle Emperors became the rulers of the Metal Region.

So, he ordered Alder to accept the challenge and at the same time, he gave some orders for Alder and the other Devourer Eagle Emperors.

”After accepting the challenge, ask the details of the challenge.”

”Also, what is the preparation time for the duel and what are its rules?”

.

.

”And the more important question is, where I or the contracted spirit beasts could participate in the duel?”

After ordering them to ask such questions to the spirit of the Floating Island, Ajax was patiently waiting for a reply from them.

However, Ajax didnʼt wait for long as he soon started getting answers to his previous question.

”The preparation time is one day.”

”Only the rulers could participate in the fight and the fighting arena would be in a separate space where the rulers could go all out without worrying about the destruction.”

”As for the rules, the duel will continue until the death of the rulers from one side or if one side of the rulers admits their defeat.”

”Before the duel, there would be stakes that the rulers from both sides should agree. It can be anywhere from a piece of territory to the entire territory. The winner takes the things that were gampled upon and the loser would lose it even if he didnʼt want to give.”

”Because everything would be overseen by the spirit of the Floating Island.”

”As for the ruler who challenged us, he is the sole ruler of the Earth Region and his name is Oberon, the Abyssal Drake Lord.”

.

.

.

One after another, the Devourer Eagle Emperors started explaining all the rules of the Duel between the rulers which they were learning from the spirit of the Floating Island.

”Oh.”

Ajax was not surprised much by those things because they were all simple things and very common for the duels to have such rules and regulations.

”Since we have one day for the Duel to start, shall we start our preparation?”

After thinking for a moment, Ajax looked at the Devourer Eagle Emperors and said, ”Letʼs do one thing. Letʼs increase the awakening percentage of the Divine Devour Rule of Alders to as high as possible.”

Soon, Ajax informed them to give the nine corpses of the old men that were meant to be consumed by the nine Devourer Eagle Emperors to Alder.

Even though these Devourer Eagle Emperors might increase the awakening percentage of their own Divine Devour Rules by two or three percentage, Ajax wanted to use this opportunity to increase the awakening percentage of Alder to as high as possible.

As the awakening percentage of the Divine Rules increases, it would become increasingly difficult to raise; however, Ajax still wanted to focus on such a thing.

It was because, even though Alderʼs awakening percentage for his Divine Devour Rule might not increase more than five percentage even after consuming all those nine corpses, it would still make Alder very powerful.

ʼSince Oberon is the sole ruler of the Earth Region, the awakening percentage of his Divine Rule might be above 20 percent or even in the 30s. So, if Alder has at least 25 percent of the awakening percentage for his Divine Devour Ruler, along with the help of the other Devour Eagle Emperors, he might put a great battle against him.ʼ

This was what Ajax believed.

Of course, Ajax even thought of another plan in which he could let another two or three Devourer Eagle Emperors consume all nine corpses of the old men and let them increase the awakening percentage of their Divine Devour Rules to 20 percent.

It was because, for the Divine Devour Rules, an awakening percentage of 20 is a significant achievement.

ʼItʼs alright! As long as Alder has his Divine Devour Rule with 25 percent of awakening, he would become more powerful.ʼ

In short, Ajax was betting everything on Alder and of course, his other Devourer Eagle Emperors have their Divine Devour Rules at 17 percent of awakening.

So, Ajax felt it was enough for them to assist Alder and take down the Earth Rule in the duel.

Some might think about who these Divine Devour Rules could use once again within such a short span as they already used it a few moments back.

The answer was simple, these 10 Divine Devour Rules increased the awakening percentage of their Divine Devour Rules from 1 percent to 17 percent. So, of course, the Duration for their Divine Devour Rule usage would increase and at the same time, the cooldown for the Divine Devour Rule would also decrease.

Hence, it wonʼt be a problem for them to use their Divine Devour Rules again in the duel.

On the other hand, Alder would be increasing the awakening percentage of his Divine Devour Rule by another 5 percent which would make up for his previous usage of the Divine Devour Rule.

It was also one of the reasons why Ajax decided to go with plan 1 instead of plan 2.

”Also, Alder, for now, just consume the corpses and convert them into the Energy Orbs. You can use your Divine Devour Rule amidst the fight to increase the awakening percentage of your Divine Rule.”

Even though the Devourer Eagle Emperors could absorb the energy orbs without the Divine Devour Rule and the skill associated with it, it would take quite a long time.

However, with the help of the Divine Devour Rule and the [Lightning Devour] Skill, Alder only needs a few seconds to absorb the energy from the energy orbs to increase the awakening percentage of the Divine Rule.

If Alder uses the Divine Devour Rule now, the duration for the Divine Rule would be decreased when Alder fights the Earth Rule during the official duel.

”Yes, Master.”

Alder nodded his head as he informed, ”Master, since Rulers can challenge the other rulers after we finish this duel, why donʼt we challenge the Fire Regionʼs ruler to avenge little sister Snow?”

After learning about the names of the rulers of the different regions, it was very easy for Alder to guess who made them suffer on their first visit to the Floating Island.

He also knew that one of his masterʼs objectives in entering the Floating Island was to kill that b*stard.

Previously, they thought they should travel all the way to the Fire Region; however, now, they donʼt have to stress about it as they could officially issue a challenge to the ruler of the Fire Region.

”Actually, I want to vent my anger on him. So, if possible, I should try to become the ruler for one of the regions before issuing him a challenge.”

In an official duel, only the rulers of two regions would fight and no one other than them would even watch the fight, not to mention joining the fight.

As for Ajax, he wanted to take his revenge on that Golden-winged middle-aged man with his own hands.

And if possible, he wanted to torture him before killing him.

For that, either Ajax needed to become a ruler for one of the regions or Ajax had to travel all the way to the Fire Region, which was very difficult and would take quite some time.

Hence, Ajax wanted to become the ruler of one of the regions before issuing the challenge to the ruler of the Fire Region to vent his anger and frustration.
