New Age Of Summoners

Chapter 1818  Summons versus Rulers (2)

Devourer Eagles were rare spirit beasts and Devourer Eagle Emperors could be considered even more rare.

Even though their attacks might not be as powerful as the strongest spirit beasts in the universe, they were perfect as the flying mounts thanks to the Acceleration Bestial Souls that they cultivate.

With such a good Bestial Soul, their speed could be so far that even the Emperor Realm Cultivators with Divine Rules have a hard time catching them.

So, the four old men felt that they should tame the Devourer Eagle Emperors and turn them into their flying mounts.

Since they were 10 brothers, even after killing the leader of the Devourer Eagle Emperors, they would have enough Devourer Eagle Emperors to tame.

[Metallic Slash]

The old man who rushed to attack Alder also had a similar thought as he directly aimed at Alderʼs throat to kill it in a single strike.

[Divine Wind Rule]

ʼSwooshʼ

However, how could Alder let the old man kill him that easily?

Without any hesitation, he activated his Divine Rule and in the next second, his speed was so high that the old manʼs critical attack landed on the afterimage left behind by Alder.

[Critical Talent Strike]

Alder didnʼt stop with just dodging the incoming attack; instead, he countered the old man with one of his powerful close-range attacks aiming to kill the old man in a single strike.

ʼSlashʼ

Alderʼs talons were already so strong and powerful and thanks to the boost in Alderʼs speed that came from the Divine Wind Rule, that attack became even more powerful that before the old man could even block the incoming attack, his body was already torn into two parts.

ʼThudʼ

ʼThudʼ

The two parts of the body fell to the ground under the shocked looks of three old men.

ʼLetʼs take care of the other three old men before they can do anything.ʼ

Alder had vast fighting experience and he knew that attack was the best defence. It was his habit to use the most powerful attack when he encountered multiple powerful enemies at once.

He would try to use his powerful attack to kill one or two to induce some fear into the remaining and while they remain in their shock, he would either use that time to kill them or if he was not confident in killing them all, he would flee.

Thatʼs right! Even though he was a proud Devourer Eagle Emperor, he wouldnʼt hesitate to fly away when he found the situation was too difficult for him.

Because he knew very well that only the living have the chance to make a comeback and thatʼs how he was able to become the King of the Smaller World that Ajax got it from.

As for his current situation, Alder was not worried too much because he had already received the voice transmission from Ajax who was only a couple of minutes away from him.

So, he didnʼt ask his subordinates to escape as their master was coming soon.

ʼSwooshʼ

ʼSwooshʼ

[Feather Strike]

Thus, without wasting any time, Alder made a turn and used a long-range attack on the remaining three old men.

”What?”

”He…he awakened a Divine Rule with just a High-level Emperor Realm cultivation?”

The three old men were shocked for a moment and looked at Alder in a new light.

As for the incoming sharp feathers, the three old men glanced at them for a moment before revealing a slight smile.

[Divine Metal Rule]

In the next second, one of the three old men moved in front of the other two old men and blocked the incoming sharp feathers.

ʼClangʼ

ʼClangʼ

The sharp feathers were all attracted to that particular old man and all those feathers were broken without leaving a scratch on the old man.

”Little Bird, you surprised us by activating your Divine Rule; however, in front of us, your Divine Rule is useless.”

The old man chuckled and at the same time scoffed at Alder.

Even though they were surprised by Alderʼs Divine Rule, they were sure that it would have less than 10 percent of awakening and could not use it for much longer.

Moreover, there were three of them who had the Divine Rules. So, whatever that Alder does, he wonʼt be winning against them.

”So what?”

On the other hand, Alder, as a proud spirit beast, didnʼt like that the old man was scoffing at him. So, he retorted with words, ”I have already killed one of you and even if I had to die today, I will be killing at least one of you…keke.”

Alderʼs voice seemed pure evil when he said those words, making the ten Devourer Eagle Emperors unconsciously shiver.

”Haha”

On the other hand, hearing Alderʼs words, the old man started laughing as he asked one of the two old men standing behind him, ”Second Brother, go and check on the fourth brother.”

”There is no need to check up on him, he will be waking up in a few minutes.”

The old man who was being addressed as Second Brother lazily replied after taking a glance at the two parts of the old man that Alder had torn apart earlier.

”Huh?”

Alder frowned when he heard that and hurriedly looked at the corpse on the ground.

ʼSwooshʼ

From the two parts of the corpse, tiny metallic things seemed to move as they started attaching to one another.

Of course, it was very slow and Alder believed that it would at least take an hour for those two parts to join together.

ʼSo, it looks like they were not humans but belong to some Metal-type race. Moreover, from the looks of it, they seemed to have a special regenerative ability.ʼ

Even though it was a serious issue, Alder tried his best to remain calm and analyzed his opponents.

ʼSince they have special regenerative abilities, I should go with my usual attacking pattern.ʼ

Thanks to his calmness, Alder was able to think about something and without wasting any time, he used a bunch of skills on the three old men.
