New Age Of Summoners

Chapter 1119: Ajax versus Brutus

”Brutus, go and fight.”

Without wasting any time, King Glaucus asked his strongest follower to go and fight Ajax.

He was very sure that no matter how many tricks Ajax had under his sleeve, Brutus was going to defeat Ajax. So, he dared to wager his legend grade sword.

”I will fight him; however, I donʼt care whether he lives or dies. Donʼt ask me to restrain myself while fighting him.”

Soon, a three-meter high humanoid lion who had his muscles bulged under his strong golden armour walked out from the back of the crowd and said those words to King Glaucus.

Compared to others, his respect towards King Glaucus was less.

Moreover, until now, he didnʼt even bother to watch the fights between Ajax and the humanoid lions because in his opinion, ʼChallenges are meant to kill others.ʼ

However, here, they were fooling around using the word ʼChallengeʼ. So, he didnʼt have the slightest interest in their fights.

”You can fight as you like.”

King Glaucus knew that he could not control this strongest follower of his and gave him permission to use full power.

”Good”

Brutus revealed an evil look on his face while looking at Ajax when he got the confirmation from King Glaucus and nodded his head.

”Brutus, before you start fighting, let me have a few words with the young human.”

In the next second, King Glaucus thought of something and hurriedly stopped Brutus and looking at Ajax, he asked, ”Can you please summon your dragon out of your spirit consciousness?”

If Ajax was killed in the challenge, then the divine dragon inside his body would also be killed along with him and King Glaucus didnʼt want that. So, he asked Ajax to summon it.

”Sure.”

With a slight smile on his face, Ajax nodded his head and called out the divine dragon.

”Roar”

”Just watch the fight and donʼt destroy anything.”

Ajax said a few words to the dragon before looking at the muscular humanoid lion.

”Human, if you want to live, then admit defeat. Once we start fighting, only of us will live.”

Brutus didnʼt start the fight as he informed Ajax that he could still live as long as he admits defeat.

”I can say the same to you.”

Even though Ajax sounded arrogant, he was confident enough to defeat Brutus. If the other party was unwilling to admit defeat, all he could do was to kill him.

And Ajax didnʼt want to kill anyone because he wanted living followers.

”Good then. Letʼs see who will win.”

ʼFire mountain god, transform.ʼ

As soon as he finished his words Brutus didnʼt waste any time in summoning his bestial soul which looked just like him; however, it was transparent and looked like an elemental spirit.

Compared to Novaʼs bestial soul, Brutusʼ bestial soul was a little different before there was a red-coloured necklace around the soul.

ʼSwooshʼ

As soon Brutusʼ bestial soul appeared in front of him, it transformed into a reddish golden-coloured armour before attaching to Brutus.

”Die”

Once he readied himself, Brutus appeared in front of his two fire elemental spirits before cleaving at them with his sharp golden claw.

ʼElemental spirit merger bloodline, activate.ʼ

Ajax was already expecting Brutus to be powerful and just before Brutusʼ claws landed on them, Ajax hurriedly activated his second bloodline, the Elemental spirit merger.

ʼBoomʼ

Soon, a huge explosion happened between Volcanis and Ignis which blasted Brutus away as they merged into a single entity.

”Cerauno, letʼs merge.”

Even though Brutus was blasted away, Ajax knew it was not enough to injure him, not to mention killing him. So, he ordered the lightning spirit to activate his general realm skill ʼMergeʼ.

ʼSwooshʼ

In the next second, another explosion occurred as Ajax and Ceruauno merged into a single entity.

After merging, the new entity mostly had Ajaxʼs features except for the fact his eyes were glowing with lightning sparks and his entire body was covered in lightning flashes that were moving like angry snakes around.

ʼWoah….so cool.ʼ

ʼNot only his elemental spirits could merge with one another but even he could merge with them.ʼ

ʼIf only Mountain lions like us have the talent to become summoners, how nice would it be?ʼ

Seeing the scenes in front of them, many onlookers started idolizing Ajax.

At the same time, they were waiting to see the fight between Brutus and Ajax.

Since Brutus was second to King Glaucus, they were eagerly waiting for the next few minutes as to where the fight between them would go.

ʼDing,

The host triggered the first effect of the Elemental spirit merger bloodline.

ʼDing,

The Vol-gnisʼs battle prowess will be boosted by five times for the next 10 minutes.

Note:- The host can still trigger the second effect of the bloodline.

As for Ajax, he received the system notifications which he didnʼt bother to check and rushed at Brutus by not giving him any chance to attack.

”Skill enhancement”

”Weapon formation”

”Weapon enchantment”

”Advanced Spatial blades”

In the merged form, Ajax could use his skills and Ceraunoʼs skills.

He used the Skill enhancement which increases all his skill levels by one and released them at the Brutus who just stood up.

”Meteorite of flying swords and floating asteroid.”

”Celestial engulfer”

”Anhiliation”

On the other side, Vol-gnis also started using their powerful skills at Brutus.

Vol-gnis not only got the boost from the elemental spirit merger bloodline but the Abyssal beast god bloodline is still in activation.

So, overall, their attacks were so powerful that even King Glaucus felt a slight shiver in the back of his neck before thinking, ʼI have to kill him at any cost; otherwise, he will conquer my Mountain lion woods sooner or later.ʼ

Until now, he was just having the thoughts to kill Ajax; however, now, he was adamant on killing Ajax at any cost.

However, he would be not doing it openly as it would make his followers lose their faith in him and might go against him in the future because of his todayʼs actions.

”Mighty lightning spear, attack”

Ajax was not taking any chance as he summoned a huge lightning spear before throwing it at Brutus.

Brutus was completely helpless against Ajax and his merged elemental spirits.

He was unable to stand on his feet properly before he would be knocked down by their attacks.

The process continued and no matter how many times they used their powerful skills to knock out Brutus, he would stand up and reveal an eerie smile on his face.

ʼDing,

The abyssal beast godʼs bloodline is on cooldown now.

Soon, he got the system notification which he didnʼt want to hear; however, he canʼt do anything about it.

”If your attacks have only this much power, then I am sorry to say that you will be dying here today.”

Even after so many attacks, Brutusʼs armour only had some scratches and it would still take a long time if Ajax wanted to destroy it with his attacks.

Whatʼs more, one of his bloodlines is also on cooldown.

”Sure”

Nevertheless, Ajax didnʼt lose motivation as he still hadnʼt used his main trump card. So, he nodded his head with a slight smile on his face.

ʼItʼs time to use the final trump card for the challenge.ʼ
