New Age Of Summoners

Chapter 1115: Setting rules for the challenge

”As long as any of your king-realm experts lost the fight against me, I will give a drop of blood essence of the divine dragon. What do you say?”

Those were the words of Ajax to the Mountain lion king which tempted him.

For a divine dragon, even the emperors are eyeing it. So, for a high-level re-cultivated spirit beast, of course, it would be tempting.

”But, how do you make me believe that you have the blood essence of a divine dragon?”

Nevertheless, Glaucus didnʼt agree to Ajaxʼs challenge without seeing the goods.

The thing is Mountain lions are just as proud as dragons. So, when Ajax challenged that he could defeat a King-realm mountain lion, the mountain lion kingʼs ego fell because Ajax was just a level 7 general realm cultivator.

Whatʼs more, his opponent would be a King-realm mountain lion who would be stronger than other spirit beasts in the same cultivation realm.

Even if Ajax didnʼt have the blood essence of a divine dragon, Glaucus would agree to Ajaxʼs challenge before teaching him a lesson.

Nevertheless, the blood essence of the divine dragon is a tempting reward and he could obviously take it if Ajax was foolish enough to bet it.

”Twilight, come out.”

With a slight smile on his face, Ajax summoned the peak rank 6 divine dragon from the inner world.

”Roar”

As usual, the moment he appeared in front of Ajax, the divine destructive twilight dragon roared at the sky that shook many onlooking lion tribesmen.

ʼWhat?ʼ

ʼHe has a dragon as his contracted spirit beast?ʼ

ʼIdiot...look, it is not a normal dragon; instead, it is a divine dragon.ʼ

ʼWhat? Divine dragon?ʼ

All the onlooking lion tribesmen were shocked by the appearance of the divine dragon in the sky.

However, they looked at their King Glaucus to see what he was going to do.

”Haha”

As for King Glaucus, he started laughing looking at the divine dragon before saying to Ajax, ”I thought you only had a drop of blood essence but you have a living divine dragon with you...Good.”

”Yeah. So, are you ready for the deal?”

Ajax shrugged his hands as he asked the mountain lion king.

”Of course. You said you can defeat a King realm Mountain lion, even without the item, I would have agreed to it. But, since you are very generous in giving a gift to get beaten up by lions men, I will ask him to retract their claws a little.”

Nodding his head, King Glaucus agreed to Ajaxʼs deal.

In his view, only a fool would reject such a great deal. Moreover, in his view, he had already had the blood essence of the divine dragon in his pockets.

”So, shall we start the challenge?”

King Glaucus was eager to complete the challenge and consume the blood essence of the divine dragon. So, he urged Ajax regarding the challenge.

”Wait...there is no hurry in it.”

However, how could Ajax start the challenge without explaining all the rules?

So, he asked King Glaucus to wait while he tried to explain the rules, ”Let me finish the rules of the challenge.”

ʼDamn it...what is his problem?ʼ

King Glaucus was annoyed with Ajaxʼs words; however, he controlled his anger as he nodded his head.

”I am not as powerful as you. So, I am not challenging you. Other than you, I am challenging all the King realm experts.”

Soon, Ajax started explaining the rules of his challenge and the first thing he said was that the King of the Mountain lions would not be eligible for the challenge.

”Go on.”

However, King Glaucus was not bothered about it because as long as his followers got the drop of the divine dragonʼs blood essence, it would come to his hands. So, he asked Ajax to continue speaking.

”Since I am a summoner, I will use both Elemental spirits and the contracted spirit beasts.”

After seeing the expression of King Glaucus, Ajax started about him being a summoner.

”Huh?”

King Glaucus frowned because he could clearly see the King realm devourer eagle right in front of his eyes and if it joined the fight, the chances of his followers winning the challenge would drastically decrease.

ʼWhat should I do?ʼ

He could not openly say that he would not allow Ajaxʼs king realm contracted spirit beast to participate in the challenge to fight alongside Ajax because his proud nature was coming in the middle.

ʼOh right!ʼ

All of a sudden, King Glaucus thought of something that made him reveal a slight smile on his face as he replied to Ajax, ”According to our Mountain lion kingdomʼs rules, it will not consider it a challenge if a summoner summons his contracted spirit beasts.”

King Glaucus used a rule about who knows whether it exists or not to his advantage.

”Oh...okay.”

Ajax nodded his head as he asked, ”Can I at least use my elemental spirits or will you say there are some rules in your rule book that says I canʼt use my elemental spirits also?”

While saying that, Ajax had a mocking look on his face that irritated King Glaucus.

”As a summoner, you can, of course, use your elemental spirits; however, the contracted spirit beasts are not as same as the elemental spirits for a summoner.”

Nevertheless, he controlled his anger for the sake of the divine dragonʼs blood essence and the five elemental spirit beast because it would grow powerful in the future without a doubt.

As for whether Ajax had a king realm elemental spirit or not, King Glaucius didnʼt worry about it because he was sure about the most basic thing.

And it is, an elemental spirit canʼt enter the King realm unless their summoning master becomes a Summoner King unless he is a heavenʼs favoured son.

Nevertheless, King Glaucus didnʼt think Ajax was hiding a King realm elemental spirit in his spirit consciousness.

”Good.”

Ajax had already expected that and he had enough confidence to defeat any low-level King realm mountain lions with his elemental spirits and his elemental spirit merger bloodline.

As for the reason why he intentionally summoned the devourer eagle king for others to see it was King Glaucius would definitely use the lame rule to renege his bet.

So, he was just being careful by letting King Glaucus say that Ajax could use his elemental spirits without a problem.

ʼNow, I can use my elemental spirits without a problem.ʼ

Ajax heaved a sigh of relief with King Glauscusʼs words.

”So, if you finish your words, letʼs start the challenge.”

King Glaucus just wanted to finish the challenge and use the divine dragonʼs blood essence to increase his strength. So, he continued to urge Ajax for the challenge.

”Wait….I said what I will give if I lose the challenge, then what about you? Shouldnʼt you say what you will give in return? Otherwise, the total point of doing this will be for nothing.”

Ajax shook his head as he asked what odds King Glaucus would be putting for the challenge.

”The loser of the challenge should swear absolute loyalty to me.”

Before King Glaucus could say anything, Ajax directly said what he wanted.
