New Age Of Summoners

Chapter 665: Green Sprites

Ramon, the eternal nurturer, had many good things in his secret realm and from the perspective of the young cultivators, they could imagine many good herbs in his herb garden.

ʼAs long as I get even one rank 4 herb, I can sell it for many spirit stones,ʼ

This was the common thought in almost all the young cultivators.

Unlike Ajax, they were the poor cultivators that rely mostly on Edmond for their cultivation resources. So, they thought to make some spirit stones and at the time, the more herbs they collected from the garden, the higher their chance would be for them to become the personal disciple of Elder Ramon.

Then they donʼt need to sell the herbs for spirit stones; instead, they could ask Elder Ramon to refine some pills for them.

”One more important thing, the trial only lasts for three hours. So, be quick,”

While the young cultivators were in their own thoughts, Elder Ramon finished saying everything he wanted to say about the trial and after that, he simply waved his hands.

ʼHuh? What is happening?ʼ

ʼWhy am I floating all of a sudden?ʼ

ʼBut it feels good,ʼ

All of a sudden, the 11 participants in the trial floated in the air which made them shocked, surprised and all other emotions appeared at the same time.

However, they like that feeling.

”Swoosh”

ʼAarghʼ

ʼWhat happened?ʼ

ʼWhere are we going?ʼ

As they were enjoying the feeling of floating in the mid-air, they started flying somewhere at an incredible speed that made him anxious as they looked at vagrant cultivators for help.

However, all of them had smiles on their faces that made all the young cultivators shook their heads.

This included Ajax too. Even though he flew even faster than this on the back of his contracted spirit beasts, this one made him a little anxious because they were flying through huge trees and even a small mistake by the vagrant cultivators would lead them to serious injuries.

ʼThudʼ

Soon, they fell into a place that was filled with various medicinal herbs with a thud sound.

ʼT..this place...ʼ

All the young cultivators including Levi and Ajax were shocked to see such a huge herb garden.

The place was very vast and it was completely covered with medicinal plants of various grades starting from rank 2.

ʼWho calls this one as a herb garden? It is clearly a herb forest,ʼ

ʼLetʼs not waste any time and collect some high ranking herbs,ʼ

They were shocked at how big the herb garden was; however, they didnʼt bother wasting time with the talk and soon started their collecting herbs missions.

ʼLooks like the collection here is comparable to the top families from my province,ʼ

Even Levi was shocked at the various types of plants in the herb garden before joining the other young cultivators.

ʼI need to pick as many herbs as possible,ʼ

As for Ajax, he was very excited as he was in need of some herbs to prepare some pills. Seeing how big the herb garden was, Ajax was sure that he would find almost all the herbs he needed from here.

ʼI will go all out in this trial,ʼ

Unlike the previous trials, Ajax decided to go on a collecting spree because he didnʼt want to miss this chance of filling his inner world with various medicinal herbs.

He didnʼt want to sell them because he already had millions of spirit stones in his inventory and he just wanted to increase his success rate while refining them with pills of all grades.

ʼI wonder what is Elder Ramonʼs alchemist rank,ʼ

Since he could nurture many herbs and plants, it was not a big deal to figure out that Elder Ramon was an alchemist; however, he didnʼt what rank he was.

Elder Ramon had never shown his alchemy skills in front of others except for his close friends and family. So, there was no news about his alchemy rank in the Zrochester province.

ʼAnyway, letʼs pick the herbs,ʼ

Ajax pushed all his thoughts aside and went to pick a herb that was near to him.

ʼSwooshʼ

ʼStop itʼ

However, just when he was about to pick the herb, a small green coloured orb appeared in front of his hand.

ʼHuh? A green sprite?ʼ

Ajax retracted his hand as he muttered the name of the green colour orb.

He knows about the green sprites that were born from some rare plants that protect the plants from other beings.

If they were helpless against the beings that wanted to forcefully take the plants, then they would destroy the plants themselves which in turn kills them too.

So, Ajax hurriedly retracted his hands fearing that the green sprite might kill the herb behind it.

ʼYes. I am one of the green sprites guarding this herb garden,ʼ

A female voice came out of that orb and introduced itself to Ajax.

”So, what should I do to get the herb?”

Since he already knew about the green sprites, he tried negotiating with the green sprite in front of him.

Earlier, he didnʼt know that there would be green sprites guarding the medicinal herbs in the herb garden. So, he directly attempted to pick them but he didnʼt take any risk now.

...

Almost similar things were happening to other participants. They also know about the green sprite of the plants. So, with shocked faces, they asked the same thing Ajax asked the green sprite in front of him.

”One more thing. If you destroy the three rank 2 herbs or two rank 3 herbs or a single rank 4 herb, you will be directly thrown out of the herb garden,”

After seeing the shocked looks on the young cultivators by the appearance of the green sprites from the plants, Elder Ramon explained the last and final rule of his trial.

ʼAs we expected the trial is not easy,ʼ

Soon, the young cultivators recovered from their shock and focused on negotiating with the green sprites.

….

ʼWhat are you going to do with the plant?ʼ

To Ajaxʼs question, the green sprite replied to him with a question.

ʼI want to refine some pills with it,ʼ

Ajax was honest and replied to the green sprite without thinking much.

ʼHuh? So you are an alchemy master?ʼ

The green sprite replied as though it was somewhat satisfied with the person who wanted to pick it up from the herb garden.

”Yes,”

Ajax looked at the vagrant cultivators, who were very far away from the herb garden and nodded his head.

”Okay then,”

The green sprite floated back to the plants and landed on a leaf before asking Ajax, ”As long as you can see the 10 uses of this plant, I will allow you to pick it up.”

The green sprite was just a guardian materialized by the will power of the plants. They were formed due to various reasons and the main reason was because of the rich essence of nature in the herb garden.

As for its condition to pick the herb from the herb garden was because it wanted to know whether Ajax was telling the truth or not as green sprites didnʼt have the power to know whether a person was an alchemy master or not.
