New Age Of Summoners

Chapter 658: Sewardʼs trial

Unlike Keshe, the forest fairy king knew how to bring out the best use of these pills.

Currently, in his territory, only he and his brother Ceru were the strongest ones and below him, there were four fairy guardians and 10 fairy generals who had their own army of around 1000 normal fairies.

Over, it was a decent force to have.

However, his force was nowhere near to the top sects of the Zrochester province much less that of the royal family.

But the thing was even the royal family feared to wage war against them because Geron had the backing of the king of the spirit beasts.

ʼThe king of the spirit beasts already had a good impression on me and my son. With the help of this pill, not only I can get a good cultivation resource in return but I could become a little closer to him,ʼ

ʼAs soon as Keshe re-cultivates, I and Ceru can swallow this pill and then give it the king of the spirit beasts,ʼ

With that thought in his mind, Geron smiled as he stored the three pills inside his storage ring.

Even though no human force didnʼt dare to attack them that didnʼt mean one of the spirit beasts under the king of the spirit beasts might attack his territory. So, he didnʼt dare to consume the pill yet and waited for Keshe to finish her re-cultivation process.

....

In the secret realm named Eternal Garden,

All the young cultivators were taking rest and waited for Elder Ramon to announce the start of the next trial.

As for the vagrant cultivators, they were discussing something with serious faces; however, from time to time they revealed smiling faces.

”Everyone, letʼs start the next trial,”

Soon, Elder Ramon came towards the younger generation and announced the next trial.

”The next trail will be conducted by our ʼThe Revered Protector, Elder Seward. So, I will be taking rest,”

After finishing his words, Elder Ramond waved his hands at the young cultivators before going back to the other vagrant cultivators.

At the same time, Elder Seward walked towards Ajax and others with a slight smile on his face.

”Letʼs not waste any more time and directly start the trial,”

Elder Seward didnʼt waste any time as he directly started explaining the trial to Ajax and others, ”Do you see the bridge over there?”

While asking that, he pointed his finger to the distant sky.

”Yes, Elder Seward,”

Ajax and others saw there was a bridge that was completely made up of green vines connecting a huge tree to the peak of a mountain.

After seeing that, all of them nodded their heads.

”Good”

Elder Sewards nodded his head as he continued, ”You just have to climb that huge tree and cross the bridge to reach the peak of the mountain. Moreover, there is a good reward waiting for the peak of the?mountain.”

In the beginning, they felt the trial uninteresting; however, when they heard the words ʼGood rewardʼ, their eyes sparkled and all of a sudden they started planning their trial on how to reach the peak of the mountain first.

”However, there is one more important thing,” Elder Seward took some wooden statues out of thin air and tossed them at the young cultivators and continued, ”You need to hold this wooden statue in your hand throughout the trial.”

”What?”

Ajax and others became a little puzzled but didnʼt say anything as they nodded their heads.

Since it was a trial, they needed to follow all the rules in that trial. So, without complaining, all the young cultivators agreed to it.

”Okay then. Letʼs start the trial,”

Elder Seward didnʼt bother about the young cultivators as he returned to the other vagrant cultivators.

ʼLetʼs go,ʼ

ʼI wonder what that good reward is,ʼ

ʼI am getting that reward for sure,ʼ

Even though their cultivation was less compared to Levi and Paulin, most of the young cultivators didnʼt lose hope after seeing what happened in the earlier trial.

Without evening trying, Lewis and Jeff won the trial and directly became the personal disciples of Elder Elek.

ʼI wonder what is the actual purpose of this trial,ʼ

Ajax looked at the wooden statue in his hands and then looked at the huge tree and the mountain which were connected by the bridge of green vines.

After the two trials, Ajax understood that in every trial the vagrant cultivators were testing them in one particular aspect. So, he wondered about that aspect of this trial.

With that thought in his mind, he casually walked towards the huge tree while carefully observing the wooden statue in his left hand.

ʼThe design is exquisite and looks like some worked very hard to make it,ʼ

The wooden statue looked like a knight donned in full body armour and with a huge sword in his hands. Looking at it, Ajax was impressed by its design.

ʼDing,

The host has entered a forbidden region with a forbidden item.

ʼDing,

The hostʼs spirit consciousness along with all his skills and battle prowess will be sealed.

”What?”

Seeing the system notifications, Ajax was shocked as he looked at the huge tree in front of him and then looked at the six vagrant cultivators, who were smiling from ear to ear.

ʼWhat happened?ʼ

ʼWhy am I feeling weak all of a sudden?ʼ

ʼIs this some kind of trick, huh?ʼ

ʼPlease tell me, it is only temporary,ʼ

It was not only Ajax, all the young cultivators felt their spirit consciousness being sealed; however, unlike Ajax, they didnʼt have a system to inform them about the reason behind the sealing of the spirit consciousness.

”Everyone, donʼt worry. It is only a temporary seal and it is to make all the young cultivators equal in their cultivation,”

Just like Ajax, all the young cultivators looked at the vagrant cultivators. So, Elder Seward replied to them to ease their feeling regarding the seal in their spirit consciousness.

”Phew”

Hearing those words, everyone heaved a sigh of relief as they started focusing on the trial.

”Letʼs see,”

Ajax also started the trial by climbing the tree.

ʼHuh? Why is this trial making me feel uneasy?ʼ

After climbing half of the huge tree, Ajax felt something was not right and looked at other participants who were also climbing just like him.

Unlike him, they looked half-tried. So, Ajax slowed down his speed and waited for others to go first.

Not because he was feared of the difficulties of the trial, he just didnʼt want to be the highlight of the young cultivators.

ʼUff..uffʼ

Soon, Ajax started acting like the other young cultivators who were gasping for air as they tried to climb the huge tree with much difficulty and stopped at the middle of the huge tree.

ʼJust a little,ʼ

ʼNoooʼ

Just when they were about to reach the top of the huge tree, Snowstorm from Edmondʼs nine adopted children slipped her hand and started falling down.

ʼAarghʼ

While she was still in the mid-air, she started screaming because without her cultivation she could not save herself from the fall of this height.

ʼAm I going to die this early?ʼ

ʼI didnʼt even take revenge on them for killing my family?ʼ

Various thoughts flashed through her mind as she lost all hope.
