New Age Of Summoners

Chapter 656: Luckier than Ajax

There was a reason why it didnʼt bring any attention from the young cultivators because they were already aware of the winners from the second trial and they were none other than Ajax, Levi and Paulin.

So, they didnʼt bother much about the results.

Soon, Elder Ramon looked at Elder Elek to announce the results of his trial.

”They are Lewis and Jeff,”

Pointing his fingers at Lewis and Jeff, Elder Elek announced in a low but powerful voice that made all the young cultivators nearly fall to the ground.

ʼWhat?ʼ

ʼAm I hearing things or did Elder Elek have announced the two participants who left the trial in the middle?ʼ

ʼMaybe the earlier pressure on my head must have something that made my ears hear that,ʼ

Even Ajax, Levi and Paulin felt the same; however, they were happy for Lewis and Jeff.

Compared to Edmondʼs adopted children, Ajax and Paulin had a good relationship with them.

Also, Levi had become close with them as they explained many things and had trained with him for a week.

”...”

Lewis and Jeff were speechless and looked at each other before starting laughing, ”Haha.”

”Come here. I have a special reward for you,”

While they laughed with excited expressions on their faces, Elder Elek called them to give their special reward.

”Yes, Elder Elek,”

Without any hesitation, they rushed towards Elder Elek to receive their reward.

ʼDid you see that, Father,ʼ

While going towards Elder Elek, Jeff looked at Udo as he transmitted his voice.

ʼ...ʼ

Udo was greatly overwhelmed with happiness when he heard Elder Elekʼs announcement as he was unable to speak out anything and stood there without saying anything.

Soon, Elder Elke placed his hands on the hands of Lewis and Jeff before muttering something to himself.

ʼAarghʼ

ʼAarghʼ

Within no time, both Lewis and Jeff started screaming in pain; however, unlike before, Elder Elek didnʼt take his hands off from them.

ʼAarghʼ

With each passing second, their groaning sounds increased, which made all of the young cultivatorsʼ shiver and heaved a sigh of relief that they were not the winners of the trial.

ʼSon,ʼ

Udo could not before his sonʼs painful screams and decided to stop Elder Elek from stopping what he was doing.

ʼStayʼ

Just as he took a step, Udo was stopped by the guild master with a serious face as he asked, ”Do you know what your son is going through now? Just wait and see. After Elek removes his hands, your sonʼs talent will be completely changed.”

”So, do you want that to stop? Then go ahead,”

The guild master no longer tried to stop Udo after explaining what he had to explain.

ʼWhat?ʼ

Clenching his fists, Udo backed away as he muttered in his heart, ʼPlease be okay, son.ʼ

He knew that the process that his son was undergoing now would be beneficial for him; however, he was unable to see or hear his sonʼs painful scream.

ʼUdo, you need to control your anxiety. Because of your overprotectiveness, he fears everything,ʼ

While Udo was still hesitating, Edmondʼs words hit him very hard that he thought carefully about his sonʼs future.

ʼI hope, everything goes without any mishap,ʼ

Finally, after hearing Edmondʼs words, Udo decided to stay back as he knew that the six vagrant cultivators would never harm a young cultivator.

ʼAarghʼ

Lewis and Jeff continued to scream in pain while everyone from the older generation watched at them seriously.

As for the young cultivators, they didnʼt look at them and some of them even closed their ears.

Soon, the painful screams came to an end, as Jeff and Lewis both fell to the ground.

”Son”

As soon as Elder Elek stopped the process, Edmond and Udo rushed towards them.

Udo checked on Jeff whereas Edmond checked on Lewis and when they saw that both of them were breathing, they heaved a sigh of relief.

”You donʼt need to worry. Both of them are doing much greater than I thought,”

Elder Elek revealed a slight smile as he explained to them.

”Elder Elek, I have a small doubt. Can I ask it?”

Edmond and Udo were finally able to be fully relieved after hearing Elder Elekʼs words and Udo asked Elder Elek that he had some doubt.

”You can ask,”

Almost all the vagrant cultivators had a good impression on Edmond and Udo after hearing everything about them from their leader, the guild master.

So, he allowed Udo to ask his doubt.

”Elder Elek, donʼt think I am undermining your decision but can I want to know how my son and Lewis became the winners of the trial?”

Udo looked at Edmond for a second before asking Elder Elek about it.

It was the question that was in the minds of everyone present in the secret realm except for the six vagrant cultivators.

ʼHahaʼ

Hearing Udoʼs words, along with Elder Elek all the other vagrant cultivators started laughing before Elder Elek started explaining, ”The trial was not about who lasts long with my pressure or how much spirit consciousness they gained. It was about whether they know when to give up and when to not give up.”

After hearing Elder Elekʼs words, everyone got the revelation about the trial that made him shake their heads.

”And these two young cultivators didnʼt hesitate to back down at unnecessary trouble. According to me, the cultivators who know when to back down will definitely reach the greater heights,”

Elder Elek finally finished his explanation with a slight smile on his face.

”Thank you, very much Elder Elek,”

Udo and Edmond hurriedly thanked Elder Elek for explaining and giving such a good opportunity for Lewis and Jeff.

”Elder Elek, looks like they are in a deep sleep. What about the remaining trials?”

Soon, Edmond and Udo picked the unconscious young men from the ground and tried to take them to some restingʼ however, just as they took a couple of steps, Edmond halted in his tracks and turned back to ask a question.

”Haha...you donʼt need to worry about them anymore. Both of them have a good affinity with my soul cultivation technique. So, I will be taking them as my personal disciples,”

After finishing his words, Elder Elek went back to join the other vagrant cultivators.

ʼWhat?ʼ

ʼLooks like they were luckier than Ajax,ʼ

Edmond, Udo and the rest of the young cultivators were shocked by Elder Elekʼs words as they looked at the unconscious Lewis and Jeff with faces full of envy.

But the envy was nothing serious as they knew that they were going to become the personal disciples of the vagrant cultivators anyway.

ʼShould I wait some more time before falling to the ground? Or did I fall to the ground at the right time?ʼ

As for Ajax, he was happy for Lewis and Jeff; however, his thoughts were on something else.

Currently, he was thinking about the time where he intentionally collapsed to the ground with Elder Elekʼs pressure on his soul and spirit consciousness.

ʼUff….nevermind. In the end, all the system notifications informed me that I was getting only 1 unit of increment anyway. Moreover, I think, it would have not crossed 10000 units capacity of my spirit consciousness,ʼ

Ajax stopped bothering about it as he waited for the next trial to start.
