New Age Of Summoners

Chapter 651: Catching the moon rabbit

ʼWhat is it, young master?ʼ

Justice became a little curious as he asked Ajax about his idea.

ʼYou will know in a short while,ʼ

Ajax revealed a mysterious smile as he continued saying, ʼWe are going to use the same plan. Back to our position.ʼ

Soon, Ajax asked Justice and his brother Neil to go back to their positions.

…..

”Lewis, Paulin and Jeff, letʼs form a team and try catching the moon rabbits,”

While Ajax was once again trying the same plan with little modification to it, Levi asked the remaining individuals about forming a team.

After his stay in the mercenary squad building, Levi became close to Lewis and Jeff as he spent most of his time with them.

So, he casually asked them about forming a team to catch the moon rabbits.

”Yes, brother Levi,”

Lewis and Jeff were the first to nod their heads and as for Paulin, he looked at Ajaxʼs team and Goliathʼs team before nodding his head.

ʼLetʼs do this,ʼ

Soon, they thought of a plan to catch the moon rabbit just like the other two teams.

….

Ajax didnʼt go to hide behind the trees; instead, he walked towards the six vagrant cultivators and with a respectful tone, he asked, ”Madam Sandra, how long the moon rabbit should be in my hands to complete the trial?”

He just wanted one clear answer and depending on that he could execute his modified plan.

ʼHuh?ʼ

The veiled matriarch raised her brows as she was a little confused with his question.

According to her, the trial was impossible to complete and moreover, she was expecting them to complete the trial anyway.

So, when Ajax asked her a question about the trial, Sandra really didnʼt have an answer for it.

”Earlier, you are able to catch the moon rabbit for a single second and as long as you can hold it for 2 seconds in your hands, you will be considered as passing the trial,”

Nevertheless, the old woman thought for a moment and gave Henrick a clear holding time of the moon rabbit in his hands.

ʼWhat?ʼ

Ajax was shocked by her reply because earlier he would have just completed the trial if he were to hold the moon rabbit in his hands for another second.

”Are you sure, it is only two seconds?”

Ajax was still unable to believe his words. So, he asked her once more to get the confirmation.

”Of course it is for 2 seconds. Go and complete the trial, you only have less than 20 minutes to complete the trial,”

Sandra urged Ajax to go back and complete the trial as she was curious about what Ajax was planning to do next.

As for why she said only two seconds because she was very confident in her spirit beast pet.

The total time for this trial was exactly one hour; however, except for Ajax, no one was close to catching it.

”Thanks, Madam Sandra,”

Ajax thanked her before going back to execute his plan.

ʼLooks like I need to play a little smart here,ʼ

While going back to justice, Ajax thought in his head.

After hearing her words, Ajax got to the conclusion that the trial was impossible for them to complete because she was very confident that even if all the sixteen young cultivators were to form a team to catch the moon rabbit, it was impossible to catch it.

Moreover, with Leviʼs level 2 elite general realm cultivation, he had more advantage than any other young cultivator in the trial; however, whenever he tried to catch a moon rabbit, the mon rabbit would escape from his hands just like how it was escaping from everyone.

ʼI think the moon rabbitʼs speed increases depending on the cultivation of the cultivator. Now, it makes sense that I was able to catch it because of my unusual speed for a level 2 elite commander,ʼ

Finally, Ajax understood why he was able to catch the moon rabbit for a second and thought that his modified plan would definitely work.

ʼI will play dirty to catch it...Hehe,ʼ

So, Ajax thought to use something else to catch the little moon rabbit with an eerie smile which didnʼt suit him much.

ʼSwooshʼ

After both Ajax and Justice hid behind the same trees, Neil started chasing after a moon rabbit and forced it to go towards the direction in which Ajax and Justice were hiding.

ʼThis time, letʼs see how you will escape,ʼ

Ajax silently thought in his head as he waited for the moon rabbit to come near him.

Unlike before, he didnʼt ask Justice to be careful as though he was confident in catching the moon rabbit on his own.

ʼSwooshʼ

Just like before, the moment the moon rabbit came near him, Ajax used his level 2 cloud steps to catch the moon rabbit; however, unlike before there was something in his hand this time.

But his luck was very bad that the moon rabbit changed direction in mid-air and Ajax was unable to touch it.

ʼThudʼ

ʼDamn itʼ

Ajax fell to the ground and the moon rabbit stopped in its way and turned back at Ajax before starting laughing.

…..

ʼWhat happened to him? Didnʼt we just praise him that he was so clever?ʼ

ʼMaybe something happened to his head when he fell earlier,ʼ

ʼI thought he figured it would be impossible to catch the moon rabbit, then why is he using the same failed method to catch it?ʼ

Except for Sandra, all the vagrant cultivators communicated in the voice transmission and as for Sandra, she just continued to watch Ajax and his team.

ʼThe main motive behind this trial is to have full coordination between one another among all the teammates in a team. Even when the task is impossible, they should never blame other teammates and should give their all to complete the trial,ʼ

Sandra glanced at the other two teams where they started blaming one another for sometime before coming to an understanding and became fully coordinated with one another to catch the moon rabbit.

So, according to her, the trial was a success but she was still puzzled at Ajaxʼs actions and at the same time, she was curious about what Ajax was trying to do.

Just when every vagrant cultivators were in their own discussions, the moon rabbit which was laughing while looking at Ajax stopped laughing all of a sudden.

It looked at Ajaxʼs hands and rushed towards him before standing still in front of him as though it was waiting for Ajax to catch it.

ʼHaha...you are an intelligent one,ʼ

Ajax revealed a slight smile on his face and slowly stood up from the ground; however, he was not in a hurry to catch it as he stretched his body a little before picking up the little moon rabbit from the ground.

After picking it up, he showed it towards Edmond and others that made everyone shocked while their jaws dropped.

ʼHoly heavens, Ajax did it,ʼ

ʼHe finally caught the moon rabbitʼ

ʼLetʼs not waste any more time and catch the moon rabbit,ʼ

Seeing the moon rabbit in Ajaxʼs hands, the other two teams were shocked for a moment before focusing on catching their own moon rabbit.
