New Age Of Summoners

Chapter 646: Barrier before destination

ʼWho is he?ʼ

ʼHe is much faster than I think,ʼ

ʼHis essence of nature must be pure; however, how is it possible?ʼ

ʼMaybe, I need to take him as my disciple to pass by legacy to him,ʼ

ʼAlso, the two young men after that forest young men also good,ʼ

The five vagrant cultivators looked at Ajax and almost decided to take him as their disciples just based on his essence of nature and kept an eye on Justice and Levi.

ʼNot bad...you have an eye for talent, Edmond,ʼ

As for the guild master, he praised Edmond because according to him, all the young men were found by him. So, of course, all the credit goes to him.

ʼ...ʼ

However, Edmond was speechless at the guild masterʼs words as he only found Ajax and as for Justice and Levi, it was Ajax who found them.

Nevertheless, he didnʼt say anything as he looked at his adopted children and others.

ʼFinally, my map is completed,ʼ

ʼI can go now,ʼ

ʼI will reach my destination faster than you,ʼ

After some time, Paulin was able to finish his map and following him, Edmondʼs nine adopted children were able to finish their own maps before rushing out of the mercenary guild.

ʼHuh? Why didnʼt Ajax use his mounts?ʼ

When Paulin was outside the mercenary guild, he noticed the two eagles which Ajax had recently tamed and thought in his head.

ʼBecause using mounts is against the rules in this round,ʼ

He heard Ramonʼs voice beside his ears and hurriedly turned to see him; however, there was no one beside him that gave him quite a shock.

ʼI need to become their disciple at any cost. Only then I could help Captain Edmond and take revenge against those that harmed my family,ʼ

After seeing how powerful the six vagrant cultivators, his desire to become their disciple had intensified and increased his speed to reach the destination.

Inside the main hall of the?mercenary guild,

ʼNot bad, all the young men and young women left till now are on par with the?elite disciples of the sects,ʼ

ʼLooks like we already got most of the disciples selected; however, we need to use more tests to know whether these disciples are good not,ʼ

Finally, in the main hall, Lewis, Jeff and Neil were the only ones that were left behind.

However, the six vagrant cultivators didnʼt leave those three as they wanted to conduct more tests separately for their sake.

ʼLetʼs see where they could enter that place or not first,ʼ

However, the guild master replied to them as though he asked them to wait until they finished the round.

In the cursed wilderness,

”Here is the location,”

Ajax was able to find the location very easily as he came to the cursed wilderness many times and along with the dimensional map that could project the entire Zorchester province on it.

”But there is some barrier that is stopped me from entering it,”

Ajax touched the invisible barrier and muttered to himself.

ʼDemon handʼ

Without wasting any time, he used the demon hand to destroy the barrier.

ʼBoomʼ

However, the moment his hand touched the barrier, he was blasted away a couple of meters that gave him quite a shock.

”Huh? You are that strong? Let me show another attack,”

ʼWait a second. They must be watching. Sigh...I canʼt use Heavenʼs destroyer spear to destroy it,ʼ

Ajax thought to use the bloodlust spear and activate Heavenʼs destroyer spear to destroy the barrier.

However, he instantly rejected that idea as he thought that the six vagrant cultivators must be watching all the disciples.

ʼHmm….what should I do now?ʼ

Soon, Ajax fell into his thoughts as he started thinking about how to destroy the break and reach his destination.

He didnʼt need to try using all his skills as he knew that the barrier would just reverse that attack on him and only cultivators above peak general realm could destroy it with their special skills or techniques.

ʼWait a second. Why am I thinking of destroying it with brute force? Among all those who are participating in the selection today, I will be the third strongest one. So, if I canʼt break it with the brute force, then no one will be able to destroy it,ʼ

All of a sudden, Ajax thought of a simple logic that made him think of other ways of destroying the barrier without using brute strength.

Among all those who were participating in the event, Ajax was third in terms of pure strength.

Levi takes the first place whereas the second place goes to Paulin as their cultivation was level 2 elite general realm and level 1 general realm respectively.

ʼMoreover, after using all the essence of nature in their spirit consciousness, it is almost impossible to use any techniques and all of them will be tired after crazily running towards their destinations. No one was able to think clearly with their tired bodies. So, as long as I think carefully, I can find it,ʼ

Ajax felt he was getting closer to finding a way to enter his destination and became excited as he thought of a possibility.

ʼThink clearly and observe properly,ʼ

Ajax muttered those words as he started observing the barrier for something unusual; however, he was unable to find anything.

ʼIf there is?nothing on the barrier then it must be closer to the barrier,ʼ

Soon, he started walking backwards as he was trying to find something that might be useful for him to destroy the barrier.

.....

While Ajax was trying to find a way to cross the barrier, Lewis and Jeff were also finished completing their maps and looked at the magical sand watch hovering beside Ramon.

ʼThere is still around 8 more hours to finish the task,ʼ

They heaved a sigh of relief as they looked at Neil, who was still trying to complete the map and left the place.

ʼThe only one left,ʼ

All the six vagrant cultivators, Edmond and Udo looked at the single young man who was still unable to finish off his map.

ʼAt this rate, he is not going to complete the first round,ʼ

They discussed it with one another as he decided to do something.

”Young man, you are disqualified. You can go home or rest aside,”

The guild master walked towards him and asked him to stop transferring the essence of nature into the map.

”Huh? Why? What happened, guild master?”

Neil hurriedly asked the guild master about what he did wrong that he got disqualified.

”There is nothing wrong you did; however, you are not going to finish this round and you canʼt even compete for the other round which will be even more difficult for you,”

The guild master shook his head as he replied the reason for asking him to sit aside.

ʼPhewʼ

Hearing that Neil heaved a sigh of relief before saying, ”No problem, guild master. I will try my best as I still have 8 more hours to finish the round.”

”Itʼs just a waste of time. Moreover, your spirit consciousness is already empty. Did you check it?”

The guild master raised his brows as he asked the young men wondering why he was being adamant about completing the task even though he was very clear that he would fail.
