New Age Of Summoners

Chapter 634: Eagle Brothers

As soon as Lechner agreed to his second chance, Ajax didnʼt waste any time as he silently ordered the system, ʼSystem, consume 5000 units of the essence of nature and start the second chance process.ʼ

To use the second chance process, Ajax needed to invest 5000 units of the essence of nature in the person he selected. As long as the selected person completes the trial, not only the personʼs spirit consciousness would be healed but Ajax would get a refund of his essence of nature also.

ʼDing,

Selected target ʼLechnerʼ within the range.

ʼDing,

Consumed 5000 units of the essence of nature and starting the ʼSecond chanceʼ.

As soon as he gave permission to the system, it started the process.

ʼSwooshʼ

Along with the appearance of the system notifications, Lechner disappeared.

As for where he went even Ajax didnʼt have a clue about it.

ʼDing,

Gained 1000 units of the essence of nature for killing the chief of the assassination circle.

Soon, Ajax understood the reason why the system had sent the emergency alert to empty his essence of nature and nodded his head.

”Darbaudr, you picked the assassin godʼs statues, right? Give them to me,”

After settling the issues with his spirit consciousness and Lechner, Ajax thought of the assassin godʼs statues which were picked by Darbaudr and asked him.

While Ajax was busy with the second chance feature of the system, Darbaudr remained silent and didnʼt bother to ask Ajax because he used to see his young master space out into thin air for minutes.

After coming out of the daze, something unusual would happen.

Nevertheless, as long as his young master didnʼt want to say it, he would never bother about it.

”Yes, young master,”

The barbarian long removed the ʼHalo maskʼ and reverted back to his original form. As soon as Ajax asked him about the statues, he tried to take them out of his storage ring.

”Wait. After going back to the residence building, I will check. Until then keep them with you,”

Ajax stopped him from taking them out as he was still felt that he was in a region closer to the assassination circle and the expert who appeared just before they disappear might come towards them.

So, Ajax decided to leave from here first and later, he could check them as long as he wanted.

”Shall we run? Or fly, young master?”

Darabaudr asked as he was not sure what his young master wanted?

”Letʼs not do both,”

Unexpected to the barbarianʼs expectations, Ajax revealed a smile as he shook his head before saying, ʼLetʼs catch a spirit beast for us to give a ride.ʼ

The thing is, they can not use the dragon to fly back to the mercenary squad residence because if someone noticed them and their location would be revealed.

Moreover, they were tired and they could not run 150 kilometers. So, Ajax suggested they catch a spirit beast.

Depending on the spirit beast, they would either ride or fly it.

”You can wait here, young master. I will catch a regular spirit beast and come as soon as possible,ʼ

Darbaudr didnʼt ask for the reasons as he immediately rushed to search for a suitable spirit beast for them to fly back home.

ʼWai...ʼ

Before Ajax could give a reply, the barbarian had long gone which made Ajax shake his head.

ʼHe is too fast to listen to me,ʼ Ajax revealed a slight smile as he shook his head.

Even though Ajax could communicate with him from a long distance, he didnʼt bother to call him back as he thought, ʼSince he already went, let him complete the task.ʼ

After the barbarian left, he stretched his muscles a bit and continued to wait for the barbarian to come back.

ʼHuh?ʼ

While he was waiting, Ajax felt some fluctuations from his inner world that made him look into it.

”Necros, come out,”

It was related to Necros. So, he asked him to come out of the inner world and carefully observed him.

”What happened to you?”

Ajax noticed some discomfort fluctuations from Necros. So, he asked him regarding that.

”Beh”

Just after Ajax asked him, Necros coughed out something from his mouth.

ʼHaha. So, this is causing you discomfort,ʼ

Finally, Ajax understood what made Necros so discomforted because he was unable to devour the storage ring which belonged to the space element.

”Phew”

”Finally they came out,”

Seeing the two storage rings on the ground, Necros heaved a sigh of relief and looked at Ajax before asking, ”Master, I still need to properly absorb the energy I gained from the chief and vice-chiefs of the assassination circle. So, I will go back and cultivate.”

”Sure thing. Go and increase your cultivation as soon as possible. You will get more delicious things in the future,”

Ajax nodded his head at Necros and enticed him to cultivate as much as possible.

Soon, he sent Necros back into the inner world.

…..

Somewhere in a desolate land which was covered by huge trees,

ʼBrother, it is another peaceful day,ʼ

A brown coloured eagle said to another brown coloured eagle in a human speech.

ʼYes, brother. It is such a quiet place and thatʼs why I donʼt bother to leave this place and enter the cursed wilderness,ʼ

The second eagle replied back to the forest eagle.

Both the eagles were small looking with the size of not too big or too small.

There were various regions where spirit beasts lived other than cursed wilderness; however, once they reached specific strength all the spirit beast leaves to the cursed wilderness in the pursuit of gaining more strength.

However, they would die because of the cruelty in the cursed wilderness.

Some beasts like these two brown coloured spirit eagles knew they could not reach any higher because they didnʼt have any bloodline or talent.

So, they became the sole rulers of the small desolate forest enjoying one day after another.

”These two looks fine for the ride,”

However, what they didnʼt know was their future was about to change as someone eyes them just a few seconds back.

”You two little birdies, come here,”

Soon, Darbaudr called them from the ground.

”Huh? Who dared to call us little birdies?”

Once they heard the barbarianʼs words, both the brown coloured eagles became angry and flew out of their nests.

”Of course itʼs me,”

The barbarian slowly released his cultivation aura that shook both the eagles.

”Oh respected master, please spare the lives of these two little birdies,”

There was a complete change in their attitudes and they hurriedly flew down from the huge trees and bowed in front of Darbaudr.

”I have some work for you two,” the barbarian only said a single line before directly sitting on one of the brown coloured eagles before saying, ”Letʼs go. My young master is waiting for a while now.”

Soon, both the eagles flew into the sky and followed the barbarianʼs direction.

ʼWhy?ʼ

Both the eagles have only one thought in their mind and that was why their luck was so bad.

The reason why they didnʼt go to the cursed wilderness was that they wanted to be free because they would only live for a couple more years before their lifespan ends.

They already wasted their entire life in cultivating. So, at the end of their life, they wanted to relax and enjoy the days.

However, now they became the flying mounts for some high-level cultivators.

...

While Darbaudr was bringing their flying mounts towards Ajax, he was looking at the holographic screen in front of him.

ʼDing,

Mission name:- Training the summons.

Details:- As a summoner, he needs to give proper training to his summons. Even with the low strength, a group of two or three of your summons should kill a cultivator with one major realm.

More details:- Make the summons into proper groups and train them to face any type of opponent in the future.

Rewards:- For every one proper team of summons, a spin in the lottery.

”Oh. Nice mission,”

Ajax nodded his head at the halographic screen as he felt it was a good mission for him to train his summons.

”Flutter”

Soon, Ajax heard the wings fluttering sound and looked at the sky to see two brown coloured eagles along with Darbaudr.

”You can quicker than I thought,”

Ajax smilingly said to the barbarian and gave some space for the eagles to land.

”Young master, our ride is ready,”

Darbaudr jumped down from the eagle as he said to Ajax.

”Okay. Letʼs go,”

Ajax didnʼt talk much before mounting one of the eagles and asked them to fly.

However, they didnʼt fly and looked at Darbaudr for his command.

”Haha”

Ajax laughed out loud as he sent some of his universal essence of nature into the eagle he sat.

ʼScreechʼ

As soon as the eagle received the essence of nature from Ajax, something inside it broke and soon it broke through to the rank 5 spirit beast realm.

ʼWhat?ʼ

The other brown coloured spirit eagle was surprised by the sudden breakthrough of his brother and hurriedly congratulated him, ʼCongratulations, brother. You finally broke through the barrier that was obstructing us from reaching the rank 5.ʼ

At the same time, the eagle was a little emotional; however, it controlled as it didnʼt want to be embarrassed in front of a high-level cultivator.

ʼThank you, young master, for giving me your blessings,ʼ

However, the rank 5 spirit eagle ignored his rank 4 brother and thanked Ajax.

”What?”

As for the other spirit eagle, it was shocked by the words of his brother and looked at Ajax with respect.
