New Age Of Summoners

Chapter 623: Mindless Beggar?

Kesheʼs uncle looked at the small shining shield in Kesheʼs hands and shook his head before saying, ”With my level of proficiency in the appraisal profession, I am unable to tell what that item is used for; however, your father will definitely know about it.”

Keshe was shocked at her uncleʼs words because her uncle was a level 4 appraiser and he could clearly appraise any item before legendary grade items. So, she thought, ʼDonʼt tell me that Elder Boron tossed a legendary item at me without thinking twice.ʼ

ʼWho is Ajax and what is his relationship with this Elder that he casually gifted a legend grade item for just saving him,ʼ

Soon, Kesheʼs doubts started rising in her head; however, all she could now was suppress them.

ʼLetʼs hurry up,ʼ

Kesheʼs uncle just wanted to inform everything that happened to Kesheʼs father, the ruler of the middle-section of the cursed wilderness.

ʼSwooshʼ

ʼSwooshʼ

All three of them were rank 6 spirit beasts. So, they were able to move at an incredible speed.

...…

While Keshe and others were rushing to meet their father, Ajax and Darbaudr were flying on the back of the purple-coloured dragon towards the assassination circle.

ʼSwooshʼ

ʼTwilight, letʼs land there,ʼ

Ajax looked at the distant black coloured tower-shaped building and asked the destructive twilight dragon to land onto the ground.

Since flying on a dragon was very high-profile, Ajax wanted it to land even before they reach the assassination circle.

ʼRoarʼ

With a roar, the dragon landed on the ground.

ʼSigh...how many times should I warn you about not roaring out loud,ʼ Ajax sighed at the actions of the destructive dragon; however, except for sighing, he didnʼt do anything.

Next, he looked at the sharp dagger-like building top that was pointing at the sky.

The building was the none other than the assassination circleʼs operation center. In that building, all types of assassination missions would be placed with a specific reward.

To put it in simple words, the assassination circle was similar to the mercenary guild; however, the assassination circle only accepts the assassination missions with some special rules.

ʼHmm...how should I destroy it?ʼ

From the moment, they left the Goldcrest town, Ajax was thinking of a plan on how to destroy this main asset of the assassination sect.

ʼDarbaudr, catch one assassin who will be entering that building,ʼ After thinking for a moment, he finally one plan and ordered the barbarian to bring one assassin that was working in the assassination circle.

ʼYes, young master,ʼ

As soon as he received Ajaxʼs mission, he disappeared from his place to complete the mission.

Ajax knew that Darbaudr would not have any problem with kidnapping one of the assassins without anyone noticing. So, he gave him that mission.

ʼOnce I get some information about the assassination circleʼs power structure, I will know what should I change with my plan to destroy it,ʼ

Before going to war, it was best to know as much information as possible about your enemy; otherwise, no matter how powerful you were, you would definitely receive some damage from the war.

Thatʼs what Elder Boron had taught him and what Ajax was doing as the first step of his plan.

”Twilight, why donʼt you back into the inner world and rest for some time, I will call you when it is time and then show others what you are made up of,”

Ajax didnʼt wait for the reply from the dragon as he directly sent it back into the inner world because for his plan, that dragon needs to be inside the inner world.

ʼTapʼ

ʼTapʼ

Ajax didnʼt know what to do as he walked from here and there while waiting for Darbaudr to bring an assassin.

ʼSwooshʼ

ʼThudʼ

ʼOuchʼ

ʼYoung master, here is an assassin, who claimed that he?knew everything about the assassination circle,ʼ

Ajax didnʼt wait for much longer before Darbaurdr rushed from the direction of the assassination circleʼs main building along with an assassin.

ʼAre you sure he is an assassin? To me, he looks more like a beggar,ʼ Ajax carefully looked at the person brought by Darbaudr and asked him while squinting.

The person brought by Darbaudr was wearing the uniform of the assassination circle which was a black coloured robe with red coloured dagger symbol on the chest of the robe.

However, his robe was tattered at multiple places and his hair was messy. There was a pungent smell coming from that person and Ajax guessed that he didnʼt take a bath for weeks or maybe months.

Moreover, the most important thing was, there was not a single ounce of cultivation and upon closer observation, Ajax found out that his spirit consciousness was broken.

So, Ajax shook his head and looked at the barbarian as he asked whether he was an assassin or a beggar.

”Young master, he is definitely an outcast of the assassination circle and moreover, he was shouting very openly in front of the building and except for glaring at him, the assassins, inside the building, were doing nothing. I thought he might know something,” Darbaudr replied to Ajax with a bow.

”That might be the case; however, it seems that he has some problems with his head,” Ajax nodded his head at Darbaudrʼs explanation; however, he was still not convinced at Darbaudrʼs action of bringing an insane person.

”Haha...thatʼs where you are wrong, young master. Wait for a second,”

Unexpected to Ajaxʼs expectations, Darbaudr laughed for a second as he turned his head at the person, who was staring into a thin air like a mindless person and shouted, ʼIf you donʼt stop acting now, I am going to kill you now.ʼ

As soon as he finished his words, Daraudr summoned a sword from his space ring as he placed it at the mindless personʼs next and revealed an evil grin.

”Wait wait wait...donʼt kill me. Donʼt kill me. I canʼt die yet. I have to witness the destruction of the Assassin sect. Please donʼt kill me,”

All of a sudden, the mindless beggar started begging Darbaudr in order not to kill him.

ʼWhat the...ʼ

Ajax was shocked to see the sudden change in the behaviour of the mindless beggar.

”Now, my young master has some questions for you. Answer them, first. Depending on your information, I will think about your life and death,” Darbaudr said in a low yet powerful voice that made the so-called mindless beggar shiver and he hurriedly nodded his head.

”Wait,” Before the mindless beggar could come near to him, Ajax asked him to stop and turned his head towards Darbaudr before saying, ”Before that, throw him into that water pond and ask him to clean himself.”

”Yes, young master,” Darbaudr nodded his head and with one hand, he picked the mindless beggar whereas his other hand was on his nose.

The stench coming from the mindless beggar was unbearable and moreover, since Darbaudr and Ajax were the cultivators, their senses were very sharp which made it even more unbearable for them.

That was the reason why Ajax wanted him to have a shower before he could interrogate him.

”You heard my young master. Go and clean yourself,”

Darbaudr threw him into the water pond and kept a new set of clean clothes at the edge of the water pond.

ʼI wonder what happened to him that made him act as a mindless beggar,ʼ Ajax patiently waited for Darbaudr and the mindless beggar to come back. While waiting, he unconsciously thought about the mindless beggar.

ʼMoreover, he said that he wanted to live to see the destruction of the assassin sect with his eyes,ʼ

Ajax recalled the words of the beggar when the barbarian was trying to kill him which made him feel that the beggar would help him in destroying the assassination circle.

ʼYoung master,ʼ

While Ajax was in his thoughts, Darabudr along with a middle-aged man with an average look came towards him.

”Yes,”

Ajax woke up from his thoughts and looked at the middle-aged man who was completely different from earlier.

No one would believe that he was the mindless beggar. That was a completely different appearance compared to before.

”Young master, what do you want to know about the assassination circle? I can answer anything you want to know to the best of my knowledge,”

Just like the barbarian, the middle-aged man also called Ajax, as teh young master and asked what Ajax wanted to know about the assassination circle.

At the same time, he promised that he would answer to the best of his knowledge.

”Before you answer my questions regarding the assassination circle, I want to know about you. Who are you? What happened to you? To put it simply, I want to know your entire story,”

Ajax nodded his head at the middle-aged manʼs words; however, Ajax asked him to tell them about his story and why he ended up acting as a mindless beggar in front of the assassination circle.

ʼ...ʼ

The middle-aged man remained silent for a few moments after hearing Ajaxʼs questions as he hesitated about something.

”My young master is not asking, he is ordering you to tell your story. You better donʼt waste our time. If you donʼt want to answer, we can find another one from the assassination circle,”

When he saw that the middle-aged man remained silent, Darbaudr used his cultivation pressure on him as he said to him.

”I will tell...I will tell,” the middle-aged man could feel that the bar barbarian was not lying when he saw he would kill him. So, he nodded his head and started talking about his story.
