New Age Of Summoners

Chapter 637: No rules

”What?”

The old man in the fire sword sectʼs robes raised his brows as his facial expression became serious when he heard the words of the young man with half burned face.

”You heard me, right, grandpa,”

There was no change in the young manʼs expression as he asked the old man.

”That...he is..,”

”Why do you want to know about your father? Didnʼt I already say he is an insane person who killed your mother and at the same time he tried to kill you; however, I saved you from him,”

Before the old man could finish his words, a middle-aged man appeared in the secret chamber and scoffed at them.

”Sect leader Ketrok,”

”Ketrok”

Daniel and the old man greeted the middle-aged man because he was none other than the sect leader of the fire sword sect, Ketrok.

”Now say, what is bothering you?”

The sect leader Ketrok nodded his head and asked the young man about his doubts.

”You are all saying that my father killed my mother but can you tell me why he did that? Moreover, how can someone kill the person he loved and decided to even leave his own family for her sake?”

The young man didnʼt show any fear while asking the questions as he continued to ask, ”If you donʼt want to answer me, I will go and ask him these questions for myself.”

ʼ...ʼ

The old man, who was the grandfather of Daniel was speechless at the young manʼs word as he looked at the sect leader Ketrok fearing that he might kill Daniel.

”Haha”

All of a sudden, the sect leader Ketrok started laughing at Danielʼs words before saying, ”So, you figured it out?”

Soon, his expression changed into anger as he shouted at the young man.

”So, it was you that killed my mother,”

The young man showed no expression on his face as he nodded his head.

Daniel, the young man woke up in the secret chamber three years ago with his memories completely lost.

However, he was explained something about his past by his self-proclaimed grandfather whether he was his true grandfather or not, he still didnʼt know.

According to his grandfather, his own father killed his mother and later tried to kill him; however, he was saved by the sect leader of the fire sword sect and he owes his life to the sect leader.

He was under continuous stress to cultivate by others and he didnʼt have any time to think much; however, as days passed, he started thinking about the story that the old man had said to him and found many things missing.

So, finally, after the break through to the general realm, he asked the old man. Surprisingly, the sect leader Ketrok had come the moment he asked those questions to the old man. So, Daniel directly asked the sect leader.

”Yes, I killed her. What are you going to do about it?”

The sect leader Ketrok no longer bothered to hide that fact as he revealed a cruel smile on his face.

”What can I do? I will do nothing; however, my father will not? You yourself said that my father is an insane person. Since you killed his wife; I wonder what he is going to do to you and your fire sword sect?”

Finally, Daniel revealed a smile as he scoffed at the sect leader Ketrok.

”Do you think I will not kill you for the words you just uttered?”

The sect leader Ketrok summoned a longsword and pointing at Danielʼs neck, he asked him.

”You will not kill me. If you wanted to kill me, you have long killed me. There must be a reason why you kept me here. My guess is you want to use me when my father wages war on your sect. Am I right?”

Daniel continued to smile as he pushed away the longsword which was pointing at his neck.

ʼDamn it. Like father, like son. They both anger me to death with their intelligence,ʼ

When he heard Danielʼs words, the sect leader Ketrok cursed both Daniel and his father in his head.

Thatʼs right!

There is a reason why he is not killing Daniel despite the fact he was annoyed by him.

ʼDamn that old sect leader. He made me swore to the heavens that I will not kill his father. With the nature of his father, he would surely increase his strength and come for revenge. At that time, if he was too powerful, he thought to use this kid to kill that bastard,ʼ

The sect leader Ketrok added another person to his cursing list and it was the old sect leader of the fire sword sect and the real grandfather of Daniel.

ʼEven though that old bastard is dead. I canʼt go and kill him unless he comes to wage war against the sect,ʼ

The previous sect leader gave the position of the sect leader to Ketrok on one condition that he would not harm Danielʼs father in any way unless he wages a war against the sect.

In this cultivation world, anything can happen at any time and adding to the fact that to take revenge on some powerful sect, one person could go to any lengths.

So, the sect leader Ketrov kept Daniel in the secret chamber as his emergency plan since no one knows Danielʼs existence except for him and his old servant.

”From now on, there is no need to give him any cultivation resources except for some low-quality food. Since he had already reached the general realm, he will not die that easily,”

After giving his orders to the old man, the sect leader Ketrok glanced at the young man before leaving from the secret chamber.

ʼI hope you will come soon and take me away from here, father,ʼ

As for Daniel, he was muttering to himself while imagining the father whose face he still didnʼt remember.

...….

In the royal chambers,

”Reid, come here,”

King Stephen Draton called his chief commander with a loud shout.

”Yes, your majesty. What are your orders,”

The middle-aged man hurriedly came walking into the royal chambers and kneeled on a single leg while asking for his orders.

There was no respect in his words or bow despite him bowing and using the words ʼYour majestyʼ.

”Announce to the entire province that the ʼChampionʼs contestʼ will be held exactly in 15 days. So, those who are at the corners of the Zrochester province could plan their journey a little bit early,”

King Stephen didnʼt mind the lack of respect from commander Reid as he told him to announce the news to the entire province.

”Yes, your majesty. Anything more?”

Commander Reid nodded his head as he asked if there was anything he needed to do.

”Say that, the rewards will be much greater this time and there will be no rules for the contest,”

While saying that, King Stephen revealed a cruel smile.

”Okay, your majesty,”

Commander Reid didnʼt feel shocked or surprised with the kingʼs words anymore as he had already seen how cruel he could be. So, after taking the orders, he went out of the royal chamber to announce the news to the entire province.
