Transmigrated To Ancient Time: Thrive With An Auction System!

Chapter 144: Ye Ying And Bai Xue ( 1 )

Before Yao Zhi arrived at the front yard, she saw Yang Erlang and Yang Sanlang walking toward her while carrying several sacks on their shoulders.

”Brother Erlang, Brother Sanlang, what brought you two here?” she asked.

”Sister Yao, we came to deliver the locusts. There are still a lot at home, and we need to transport them several times. Where should we put these?” Yang Erlang asked.

”You can place them outside the kitchen,” Yao Zhi replied while she led them to the kitchen.

The three of them worked together to carry the sacks to the backyard. When they were done, the Yang brothers left to transport more locusts while Yao Zhi continued roasting them.

It took Yao Zhi 2 days to roast all the locusts until they were dry. On the 4th day after the locusts swarm arrived, the news about the General’s wife buying locusts spread widely in the entire Zhu’an Town and nearby villages.

The news also reached Yang Village. When they heard that the General’s wife was buying the locusts at the price of 3 wen for 10 jin of locusts, some villagers were tempted.

But thinking that they had to carry the locusts to the town, they changed their minds. After they calculated the time and effort, it was still better to sell locusts to Yao Zhi.

Even if some villagers thought so, many villagers and estate owners thought otherwise. They didn’t know about Yao Zhi buying locusts, so all of them went to Zhu’an Town to sell their locusts.

While the White Tiger Army, the General’s mansion, the Xie family, and Duke of Zhenguo’s mansion were busy buying locusts, Yao Zhi was checking the system’s shop.

If she ground all the dried locusts using a milling stone, she wouldn’t be able to finish even after a month. To save time, she decided to buy a heavy-duty powder grinder.

Since she already had a solar-powered power station, she needed to choose a grinder that used less electricity. She browsed for a while before she chose a machine with a capacity of 2 kilograms and used 1,500 watts.

Due to the size and lower electricity usage, this machine was more expensive compared to other options. She paid 12,800 points for this machine.

After she bought the machine, Yao Zhi placed it inside the kitchen and took out the power station. The power station was placed near the window so it could absorb more energy from the sunlight.

When she was done connecting the machine to the power station, she took out the dried locusts from her system’s storage. Suddenly, she saw a big basin with her bath water inside. It had been a long time, and she forgot to throw away this water.

Since this water was added with spiritual spring water, it would be too wasteful to throw it away just like that. So, she used it to water the dried soil in the backyard.

She planned to plant olives there. With olives, she could make olive oil. With olive oil, she could use it for cooking or making cosmetics.

Just after she poured out the bath water, Yao Zhi suddenly heard a ding sound, and a blue screen appeared in front of her, followed by the mechanical voice echoing in her mind.

”Congratulations, Host! You made a huge contribution to saving countless lives during locusts plague by distributing Sha Wu Hen powder. The system has calculated your contribution and issued the rewards.”

Yao Zhi looked at the blue screen and saw 2 boxes on it. Under the boxes, there was short information. She checked the first box and saw the words ”50,000 merit points; middle-grade reward box.”

She thought that she would be able to get both. But when she tapped on the box, it shook for a moment before it was opened, and another box appeared on the screen.

”150,000 merit points and a basket of immortal peaches; high-grade reward box”

was written under the box.
Yao Zhi thought for a moment and felt that opening the reward box was like gambling. She didn’t have much luck when it came to gambling, so she tapped it without any burden.

The box shook for a while, and another box appeared on the screen.

”350,000 merit points, 5 bottles of Snow Rain Pill, and a fragment of a spiritual vein; legendary-grade reward box.”

When she saw the reward, Yao Zhi was surprised. The reward was really generous. Even if she failed to get the legendary-grade reward box, the rewards from the high-grade reward box were already very good.

But even with this thought, she still hoped to be able to get the legendary-grade reward box. Such was the nature of humans, and she was only an ordinary person who also had greed in her heart.

”Please give me the legendary-grade box,” she prayed before she tapped on the box.

The box shook for a long time before it was opened. When Yao Zhi saw the items on the screen, she let out a sigh. She failed to get the legendary-grade box.

After she clicked on the icons, the items were sent to her system’s storage. She took out a bottle of Snow Rain Pills and read the information.

These pills were Heaven-grade pills made by a 10-grade alchemist using spiritual herbs. These pills could heal internal injuries and nourish the body. They could also be used as painkillers.

Yao Zhi squinted her eyes to read the words smaller than ants below the information. This was a warning.

Since these pills were made for immortal cultivators’ consumption, demon and ghost cultivators couldn’t use them. If mortals consumed them, their bodies might explode from the overwhelming spiritual energy.

After she read the warning, Yao Zhi’s face darkened. ”System, why did you give me this if I can’t use it?” she asked, with a hint of annoyance in her tone.

”The Host can grind it into powder and mix a little bit with water before you consume it. As long as the Host doesn’t take a whole pill, you won’t explode.”

Hearing this, Yao Zhi nodded and said, ”I will try it later.”
