Beating Instances through Words Left by the Dead

Chapter 984: Chapter 413: Sword of Order

Wu Chang looked at the body of the white wolf, and the Blood-Colored Will on the white wolf’s corpse burst forth with a crimson glow. As the light flashed, his consciousness entered the white wolf’s grievance.

This time, Wu Chang did not experience the white wolf’s experiences in the first person, but instead watched everything unfold from a third-person perspective.

The point of entry for the grievance was before the Qualification Dungeon.

The white wolf was not a member of the Four Major Organizations; the organization he belonged to was called ”Totem,” whose power ranked mid-tier in the Desolate Realm.

The so-called first-tier transcendent organizations are not only related to organizational numbers and high-level combat power but also require a certain level of influence in reality.

That is to become a shelter for one or several small countries in reality, helping them avoid transcendent disasters. ℴ

The distribution of transcendent powers in reality is neither even nor fair.

To some extent, the birth of transcendents also conforms to the First Law of Mysticism.

Most transcendents appear within the territories of the Four Major Organizations; the more transcendents there are, the greater the probability of more appearing in the area, and the greater the chance of a transcendent genius emerging.

Countries adjacent to the Four Major Organizations can guarantee awakening a certain number of transcendents, but if they are further away, the appearance of transcendents becomes rare.

There are over 200 countries on Blue Star; according to statistics, less than 150 have transcendents, and those that can support independent transcendent organizations are fewer than 40.

In other words, the 160 countries without domestic transcendent organizations mostly need external aid when facing transcendent disasters.

Some will choose to seek aid from neighboring countries, while others will turn to independent transcendent organizations for help.

Organizations capable of resolving national-level disasters can help the Four Major Organizations maintain reality’s order and thus be recognized as first-tier transcendent organizations.

Transcendents in a first-tier organization have a status equivalent to a dictator emperor within the small countries they protect.

To ensure the safety of the countries and maintain stable governance, they demand as they please from small nations.

Some first-tier organizations that find wealthy small countries to exploit have resources that even core members of the Four Major Organizations cannot match.

The ”Totem” that White Wolf belonged to was this kind of organization.

The headquarters of Totem is located in Fei State, with over two thousand transcendents inside the organization, protecting seven small countries.

In the area they control, transcendents are considered gods.

Each of these countries, when singled out, has a population of only tens of millions, but the area is rich in gold, diamonds, and various minerals, accumulating significant wealth, enough to supply Totem’s leadership with enough to be paying players.

Thanks to their remoteness from the Four Major Organizations and sufficiently strong high-level combat power, ”Totem” was chosen by the Illuminati, becoming, like the Iron Armor Corps and Deep Water Society, one of the peripheral organizations.

Totem’s status is far beyond that of the other two, receiving more assistance, and naturally, the Illuminati’s demands for Totem rise accordingly.

For the top five players within the Totem organization, the Illuminati not only requested them to receive World Dungeon qualifications but also required their rankings to be within the top thousand.

If they fail to accomplish this, they will lose their status as peripheral members of the Illuminati and will no longer receive any support from them.

The white wolf is the third in command of the Totem organization, ranking 165th in combat power rankings; from the data, he looks like an expert, but he is not truly skilled.

Much of his combat power comes from paying, severely inflated, and the true strength he can exert falls far short of his ranking.

Why does Wu Chang know this?

Because he uses the third-person perspective, hovering behind the white wolf, witnessing the white wolf’s disastrous performance in the Qualification Dungeon.

The white wolf’s luck was good; the Qualification Dungeon he entered was merely an A-Level dungeon with a high level of pollution.

But his luck was poor; since he lacked an Exorcism Talent, he couldn’t learn from players’ bloodstains, and basically hit every trap in the dungeon with precision, single-handedly triggering three crises capable of causing a team wipe.

Of the thirty-five players, only six completed alive, and the six only completed the most basic Main Line Task 1.

By stepping on enough landmines, the white wolf gained a Completion Rate of 42% during dungeon settlement, with a daringly awarded performance D rating.

This was Wu Chang’s first time seeing another player’s settlement, and also the first time seeing a settlement from a low-rated dungeon run.

The D-Level rating can only earn 80% of the basic dungeon rewards, allowing the white wolf to receive 4000 experience and 8000 Rotten Silver Coins upon settlement.

By contrast, Wu Chang, in the same A-Level True Dungeon ”Cursed,” received 48750 experience and 97500 Rotten Silver Coins upon settlement.

Wu Chang confirmed several times before he dared believe the meager rewards the white wolf received were from an A-Level True Dungeon.

After basic rewards, D-Level dungeon ratings also have corresponding stage rewards.

However, unlike with S-Level ratings, with a D-Level rating, one cannot freely choose an item; instead, they can only randomly obtain a low-level item.

The item the white wolf obtained was a set of exquisite ceramic tea sets, which he could sell to the Crimson Courtyard’s official recycler for 5000 Rotten Silver Coins.

The D-Level rating, although granting the white wolf access to World Dungeon, meant his invitation number was only 8192, far from reaching the top thousand required by the Illuminati.

After the World Dungeon, the white wolf would definitely be promoted into the Realm of Reason, at which point he would be unable to obtain any resources from the real world.

Losing his status as a peripheral member of the Illuminati before entering the Realm of Reason was utterly unacceptable for him.

Just as the white wolf was filled with unease, pondering how to regain the Illuminati’s trust, the Illuminati gave him a second chance.
