Beating Instances through Words Left by the Dead

Chapter 951: Chapter 402: Magical Girl and Supreme-Level Administrative Privileges

At the end of the invitation, there’s a countdown, with time matching the clock tower in the public area plaza.

When Wu Chang received the invitation, there were exactly ten days remaining.

He looked at the part in the invitation regarding the initial exploration rights, which mentioned that he attained these rights due to his outstanding performance in the qualification instance.

The requirement to qualify for the World Dungeon is completing the qualification instance and having an exploration degree within the top ten thousand among all players who participated in the qualification instance.

From the content of the invitation, the ranking not only selects who can enter the World Dungeon but also grants players corresponding advantages based on their rank.

For instance, being ranked first allows him to enter the World Dungeon 36 hours in advance to familiarize himself with the dungeon world.

He holds the True Walker Title and doesn’t need to spend time himself and can quickly become familiar with the worldview of the dungeon.

But for ordinary players, entering a dungeon early is equivalent to gaining an early advantage.

One fast step leads to every step fast.

The benefits within the dungeon are all first-come, first-serve, and the difference between successful and failed strategies often depends on speed.

More importantly, during the initial exploration phase, as long as players do not actively initiate attacks, they will receive rule protection, being in a nearly invincible state.

This helps players survive the most dangerous first day of the dungeon, avoiding various initial kills, and allows them to explore the world freely.

Unfortunately, the initial exploration phase only exists in the World Dungeon; if ordinary dungeons had this mechanism, instances like the Moonlight Sanatorium would see a significantly reduced death rate.

From qualifying for the World Dungeon to obtaining initial exploration rights and Blessing Status, it’s evident that the World Dungeon differs from ordinary dungeons, as rules are no longer fair but more favorable to potential players.

It feels as if the real plane is eager for self-rescue, starting to select players who can truly be put to use.

Wu Chang flipped through the invitation twice, confirmed there was no other valuable information, and then tossed it into his personal space.

As the qualification instance concluded, the expansive Mist Plaza faded once again, and the Crimson Courtyard of the Desolate Realm returned to its previous state.

Wu Chang entered the public area, which previously bustling, was now noticeably quieter.

The public area bar, always overflowing with people at any time, now unusually had many empty tables.

To most players who have only entered Projection Dungeons, the difficulty of the True Dungeon is still overwhelming.

This lack of understanding of True Dungeon difficulty, coupled with overestimating one’s strength, led many players to die within the dungeon.

This outcome is related to the matchmaking mechanism of the Abyssal Game.

The Abyssal Game calculates a combat power value for players based on their Attribute Panel, matching them to a dungeon closest to their combat power value during instance matchmaking, considering their Level.

Except for Wu Chang, whose Exorcism Talent maxes out his combat power value, coupled with targeted actions by the game administrator, resulting in atypical matchmaking outcomes for him.

But for most players, the difficulty gradient of the Abyssal Game is smooth.

Especially for players with moderate qualifications and certain skills, as long as they don’t pursue a high dungeon exploration degree before Full Level, they can remain in their comfort zone.

They neither have combat power value far exceeding their Level, causing them to be matched with real dungeons, nor due to their own skills are they able to swim through Projection Dungeons.

In the game, they are equivalent to players benefiting from the game’s elo mechanism, though they remain unaware.

Once they enter the qualification instance, without the protection of game mechanisms, needing to fight with real weapons, the tide recedes, revealing them swimming naked.

Although the Four Major Organizations conceal the existence of the World Dungeon, primarily to monopolize it, objectively it indeed protects ordinary players.

Wu Chang disclosed the existence of the World Dungeon and methods to enter the qualification instance, allowing many potential ordinary players to enter the World Dungeon, but also led more Desolate Realm players to die in the qualification instance.

The bad news is, due to many players dying in real instances, many real instances experienced a significant increase in pollution values, with the Desolate Realm seeing over ten dungeons nearing uncontrolled status within a day.

The major organizations of the Desolate Realm will have to clean up the mess from today’s qualification instance over the next month or two.

The good news is that with many players dead this time, if Wu Chang strategies these dungeons, it will become very easy.

In the bar of the public area at this moment, the qualification instances and World Dungeons have become the sole topics.

A number of bar regulars who survived qualification instances are bragging about how high the difficulty of real instances is, mocking that Projection Dungeons aren’t even qualified to carry the shoes of real instances.

Some players are showing off their World Dungeon invitations, trying to find fellow independents who also qualified, so they can have some support when entering the dungeon.

The challenging difficulty of qualification instances gave these independent players a heavy blow, even though they survived and obtained World Dungeon qualifications, they are still traumatized.

Just the qualification instance alone left them in peril; the difficulty of the World Dungeon can only be imagined.

To increase their survival rate in the World Dungeon, they can only think of ways to band together and find assistance.

Wu Chang sat in the bar for a while, seeing dozens of players showing off their invitations one after another.

Most of their final rankings are after three thousand.

Those ranked in the thousands openly displayed the contents of their invitations to other players, which did not mention initial exploration rights or Blessing Status.
