The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 2291: Chapter 2291: Gold Ingot (37)

”We’ll sort this out later.” Yang Ruxin smiled, ”I won’t stay for dinner, I’m off.” Then she linked arms with Dong Wenxiu, held Xiaofeng’s hand, while Xiaofeng held Erni’s other hand and walked straight out.

”Father, Xiaoxia and I will head back too.” Yang Baixiang supported Pei Xiaoxia, ”The shop can’t be delayed.”

”Everyone’s leaving, just go.” Yang Peili sighed and walked away, hands behind his back.

Yang Rusong looked at Yang Baixiang, ”Uncle Xiaowu.” His eyes reddened.

”Take care, things will get better.” Yang Baixiang patted Yang Rusong’s shoulder, ”Look after your grandpa.”

Yang Rusong nodded.

Yang Baixiang then supported Pei Xiaoxia and followed after Yang Ruxin.

Meanwhile, on the road leading to town, Yang Ruban was stopped by a woman in black with a veiled hat.

”Who are you? What do you want?” Yang Ruban was somewhat scared; he shouldn’t have run out, ”I tell you, I have no silver, you...”

”I’m not here to kill you.” The woman smiled faintly, ”On the contrary, I know you lack silver, so I’ve come to give you some.”

”Huh?” Yang Ruban was stunned.

The woman in black raised her hand and tossed a purse over.

Yang Ruban caught and opened it, eyes widened at the sight of two shiny gold ingots inside. He couldn’t help licking his lips and tilted his head to bite one, discovering they were real gold ingots.

At this time, an ounce of gold could be exchanged for ten ounces of silver, so these two gold ingots were worth ten ounces, equivalent to a hundred ounces of silver.

However, after his initial excitement, he calmed down: ”Why are you giving me so much silver? I tell you, I can’t go around killing or starting fires.”

”With your timid nature, asking you to kill and set fires would be amusing, wouldn’t it?” The woman in black sneered.

”Then what do you want me to do?”

”Do you hate Yang Ruxin?”

”What?” Yang Ruban didn’t react immediately.

”Yang Ruxin has become successful, yet she doesn’t care about her family, preferring to support unrelated people rather than help you, her cousin. Don’t you hate her?” The woman in black edged closer to Yang Ruban, ”Your debts to her are insignificant to her.”

Yang Ruban swallowed. He was already fourteen and had experienced relationships between men and women, quite keen on them; otherwise, he wouldn’t visit brothels so often. Yet now, although separated by a black veil, he could feel the woman’s warm breath and the faint fragrance on her, but these didn’t stir him; instead, he felt tense.

”Ha!” The woman in black suddenly laughed, ”If you don’t hate her, then pretend I was never here.” As she spoke, she reached out and snatched the purse back from Yang Ruban, turning to leave.

”Wait a minute.” Yang Ruban’s face suddenly twisted; he stepped forward to block her, ”What if I do hate Yang Ruxin? There’s nothing I can do about her.” He glanced at her, ”You hate her too? Can’t do anything about her, either?”

”You’re quite smart.” The woman in black laughed, lifted her hand to gently caress his cheek with her fingers, ”Too bad it’s wasted.”

”So, what’s your plan?” Yang Ruban took a step back; her touch felt like a venomous snake, making him tense all over.
