The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 2272: Chapter 2272: There’s a Bean Sprout (18)

Wang Hehua chuckled and patted Yang Ruxin’s hand, ”Xinxin, having your care is a blessing we’ve earned from a past life.”

”Wrong.” Yang Ruxin shook her head, ”It’s the destiny of this life. When my mother brought us over, I was still clueless. Without your occasional help, we would have been doomed. It’s easy to add flowers to the brocade, but hard to send charcoal in snow. What I value is that snow-time help.”

”That’s why my parents always taught me to be kind to others, and it’s true, good deeds are rewarded with good things, it’s always right...”

”Mom, we’re back.” Just then, footsteps sounded outside. It was Li Xiang and Liang Xiaoyu, who had gone to town together early this morning to get some things, both annual goods and Li Xiang’s dowry.

Yang Ruxin stood up to greet them at the door.

As soon as Xiaoxiang and Xiaoyu saw Yang Ruxin, they suddenly screamed, ”Ah, Xinxin, you’re finally back!”

”Yeah, you heartless one, I’m getting married and you’re not even here.” Liang Xiaoyu pouted.

”I’m also very sorry and apologetic.” Yang Ruxin clasped her hands together, ”But I didn’t forget your gift.”

”Alright, we know you’re a busy person.” Liang Xiaoyu instantly smiled, ”How could I really blame you? Even the County Magistrate’s madam came, which was such a big honor for me, all because of you. I was just joking just now.”

”I knew Xiaoyu is the best.” Yang Ruxin pinched Liang Xiaoyu’s cheek, ”Though becoming someone else’s wife does make you more radiant.”

”Flatterer!” Liang Xiaoyu blushed and slapped Yang Ruxin’s hand away.

The three girls began laughing.

”Stop it, come quickly and see what we bought.” After laughing, Li Xiang put the purchases on the table.

Yang Ruxin went over to inspect each item.

Meanwhile, the two little ones on the heated brick bed saw the excitement and chirped in protest, reaching their little hands for the things on the table.

”Nothing for you two, go play by yourselves.” Li Xiang poked each of her two younger brothers, knocking the little ones sitting there down.

The bed was padded with thick quilts, so falling down was soft and cozy.

The two little ones, pushed down onto the quilts, didn’t cry. Instead, thinking their big sister was playing with them, they giggled happily. Then they tried to sit up, but couldn’t, so they just tilted their heads and stared at everyone with big, shiny eyes.

”Look at those little eyes, my heart is melting.” Yang Ruxin leaned over, ”How can you two be so cute?”

”Yeah, Aunt Hehua, I almost want to take them home.” Liang Xiaoyu also put down her things and joined, ”I just want to take a bite.”

”Don’t, my brothers are very pure. You old woman, don’t taint them.” Li Xiang immediately pushed Liang Xiaoyu away in disdain.

”I’m an old woman? You’re not far off, maybe I’ll taint you now?” Liang Xiaoyu said, starting to tickle Li Xiang.

Resulting in Li Xiang laughing out loud.

The two little ones also joined in laughing, and soon the room was filled with laughter.

”Alright, you two, stop messing around. You’re adults now. By the way, Xiaoyu, it’s been two months since you married Liuzi, you should be expecting by now, right?” Wang Hehua disdainfully stopped the two crazy girls and took a glance at Xiaoyu’s belly, ”Otherwise, let Xinxin check your pulse later.”

”Aunt Hehua, it’s not that fast.” Liang Xiaoyu’s face turned red, ”Xinxin got married earlier than me, and she doesn’t have one yet.”

”Just because I don’t, doesn’t mean you don’t. Let me check for you now.” Yang Ruxin chuckled, releasing the little ones’ hands and grabbing Liang Xiaoyu’s wrist directly, ”Maybe there’s already a little sprout in your belly...” She suddenly paused.

”What’s wrong?” Everyone widened their eyes at Yang Ruxin.

Yang Ruxin continued to feel the pulse for a while, then pulled her hand back, looking at the nervous Liang Xiaoyu, and suddenly laughed, ”Don’t be nervous, your Liuzi is quite capable. Just married and already becoming a dad.”

”Xinxin, you mean...” Liang Xiaoyu’s eyes were about to pop out.

”I mean, you really do have a little sprout in your belly.” Yang Ruxin smiled, ”Estimated over forty days now, due in August next year. Be careful in the early stages of pregnancy, you can’t be too rowdy...”

”Really?” Liang Xiaoyu felt a bit surreal.

”Dare to doubt the diagnosis of the Divine Doctor?” Yang Ruxin glared, ”You’re the first woman to do so, quite bold.”

”Haha.” Liang Xiaoyu immediately laughed, placing her hands on her belly, ”I’m going to be a mother too.”

”Sit down quickly.” Wang Hehua hastily helped her to a chair, ”You shouldn’t have gone to town with Xiaoxiang today, if anything happened... Cuiyun and Xinghua would fight me.”

”Auntie, nothing happened.” Liang Xiaoyu couldn’t stay still, ”Don’t say that, it makes me nervous. I have to go back and tell my mom and them.” Her own mom and mother-in-law should be notified, they’d probably be overjoyed.

”Xiaoxiang, help escort her back.” Wang Hehua hurriedly instructed her daughter, ”Then come back quickly, it’s almost time to cook.”

”Got it, Xinxin, wait for me, I’ll be back soon, I have so much to tell you.” Li Xiang said and then left with the elated Liang Xiaoyu.

”Auntie, I see Xiaoxiang is in a good mood, so she must be truly comfortable. I think you should just let it be.”

”I know.” Wang Hehua nodded, ”Anyway, it’s settled now, I’m not holding a grudge anymore. With you supporting her, as long as she’s not too foolish, she won’t suffer much.”

”Is the wedding date set?”

”The Xie Family calculated a date, said May 16 next year is a good day. They’ll come to finalize the engagement soon. Village folk aren’t too particular about rituals, but the Xie Family insists Xiaoxiang shouldn’t be shortchanged, so they won’t skip any steps... Her dad also said that Xie Tai seems pretty upright, and it’s mainly the attitude of Old Madam Xie that reassured him.”

”Children have their own blessings.” Yang Ruxin nodded, ”I’ll visit the Xie Family before the year ends, and while I’m at it, I’ll check out the environment and family atmosphere at Xie Village. If they dare mistreat Xiaoxiang, I’ll wipe them out with a single medicine pill.”

Wang Hehua was stunned for a moment, then burst into laughter, ”Good Xinxin, Auntie thanks you.”

As they were having a good chat, a faint crying sound suddenly came through.

”Sounds like it’s next door.” Wang Hehua got up and pointed westwards, ”Did something happen at the Yang family’s old house?”
