The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 624: Chapter 624: Haven’t Eaten (8)_1

While on the other side, Yang Ruxin had Gu Yao take Yang Baixiang to her home and then went to fetch Dao Xuzi herself. She was not good at pulse diagnosis, and that idea of hers couldn’t detoxify the poison either, so she still had to rely on the old man.

Fortunately, the discovery was timely, and Yang Baixiang’s life was saved. After two injections, he also came to.

”Uncle Xiaowu, how could you eat wild parsley?” Yang Ruxin’s face looked extremely distressed. Around the village, there were some ditches where various wild herbs and vegetables grew—some edible, some poisonous. This wild parsley resembled the edible kind but was toxic. If someone consumed it by mistake, they would experience nausea, vomiting, chilling tremors, which is why it was also known as poisonous parsley.

”I...” Yang Baixiang wore a face full of guilt, ”I...”

”Actually, if he had eaten his fill, even mistakenly eating a bit wouldn’t be so severe, just some nausea and vomiting at most. But it looks like he has been hungry for several meals. With not a bit of food in his stomach, the toxicity of the poisonous parsley became extremely potent...” Dao Xuzi said, pursing his lips. ”Has the Yang Family come to the point where they can’t even get food?”

Yang Ruxin looked at Yang Baixiang: ”Uncle Xiaowu, don’t tell me it was your own choice not to eat...”

”I...”

Yang Ruxin turned and went out, quickly returning with a bowl of millet porridge: ”You’ve just been detoxified, start with some porridge.”

Yang Baixiang gulped down the large bowl of porridge in two mouthfuls and then chuckled, ”It’s really delicious.”

”How many meals have you missed?” Yang Ruxin placed the bowl aside and looked at him earnestly.

”Xinxin, don’t hold it against me. I just randomly plucked one and chewed on it, never expecting it to be poisonous...” Yang Baixiang chuckled, ”Really, don’t be mad...”

”I’m not mad,” Yang Ruxin smiled. ”You’re the one going hungry and suffering. Just now, if I hadn’t suddenly remembered not seeing you and gone to look for you, you would have died in that room with possibly no one knowing...”

Yang Baixiang’s face became very awkward.

”Yang Baixiang, I care for you and am concerned about you because, apart from being our relative, you’ve always been the kindest to us. I still remember when we were unbearably hungry, the cicadas you dug up for us, the sweet potatoes you secretly passed to us...” Yang Ruxin struggled to swallow the tears welled up in her eyes, ”But if you don’t care about yourself, I can only care for you temporarily, but not for a lifetime... I won’t just get you back in shape only for you to go back and continue to be tormented by them...”

”Xinxin, Uncle Xiaowu is not foolish. Uncle Xiaowu understands everything...” Yang Baixiang suddenly burst into loud sobs. ”But there’s just no way, I really have no way...”

Seeing this, Dao Xuzi hurriedly left. He had no interest in other people’s family affairs, and besides, watching a grown man cry like that... Okay, he admitted that it made him feel quite uncomfortable.

Yang Ruxin said nothing, just allowing Yang Baixiang to cry there like a child.

After a while, Yang Baixiang finally stopped crying, and it was obvious that he felt much better after the outburst. He lifted his head and wiped away tears: ”Xinxin, I want to split up the household too. I said that after splitting, I would still support them, but they’re my parents, aren’t they? They just refuse to split up, what can I do? Can I really watch them seek death in front of me?”

Yang Ruxin frowned. Yang Anshi was definitely capable of that.

”I know I’m not favored, but I never expected...” Yang Baixiang shook his head. Yesterday, when his sister-in-law showed disgust for him, he thought his parents would speak up for him, but... they ate heartily, yet absolutely no one remembered him.
