The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 246: Chapter 246: Younger Cousin (part 4)_1

”Thank you, Uncle Wang,” Yang Ruxin bowed to Doctor Wang in gratitude. Although the book was only of an introductory level, it was always good to learn more, and Doctor Wang did not get angry that she had not formally become his apprentice. In fact, he continued to support her, which kindled a mentor-apprentice relationship. So, from now on, she would treat Wang Zhenggang with the respect due to an elder, and since it was rude to receive a gift without giving one in return, she would need to bring a return gift for Doctor Wang next time.

Doctor Wang waved his hand indifferently and then turned to go to the front. Although he felt a bit regretful, he understood the Yang Family’s situation. Perhaps, if Ruxin came, the rest of the Yang Family might follow, creating trouble; he suspected she was afraid of implicating him.

Yang Ruxin did not realize Doctor Wang Zhenggang had made up some scenarios in his mind. She was busy taking care of the little girl with Dabao. Not sure if the treatment was working, but about two hours later, the younger girl’s temperature completely normalized, and her breathing steadied.

Dabao’s tense nerves finally relaxed, and a smile returned to his little face.

Yang Ruxin also breathed a sigh of relief; she had to get back home, or the younger ones at home would start to worry. By now, it was past noon, lunch had been delayed, and her stomach was protesting.

”Dabao, can you manage by yourself here?” Yang Ruxin still looked at the little fellow with concern, ”I’ll come to see you again tomorrow, but now I must return home, because my younger brothers and sisters will be worried...”

”It’s okay,” the little fellow shook his head, ”Thank you, sister. I will repay your kindness when I grow up...”

”We can talk about that later. Tonight, you’ll sleep on the bed next to your sister’s. If anything is wrong with her, find Brother Xiaohu or Brother Little Douzi; they will be on watch here tonight...” Yang Ruxin instructed Dabao carefully.

There were three boys working in the medical hall, and two were on duty each night. Tonight, it was Zhang Xiaohu and Xiao Douzi’s turn.

Dabao nodded: ”Don’t worry, sister. I can take good care of my sister.”

”You need to take good care of yourself as well,” Yang Ruxin patted Dabao’s head, ”I will come to see you tomorrow morning.” She handed two meat buns to the little fellow, ”Have these for now, Xiaohu will bring you dinner tonight. There’s water in the room, don’t choke...”

The little fellow nodded again, his eyes reddening but holding back tears because his sister had said a man should not cry.

After making sure everything was okay, Yang Ruxin bid farewell to Doctor Wang and left Hechun Hall. Of course, she didn’t forget to leave some silver, instructing the boys to take good care of the children.

The boys kept by Doctor Wang to help in the medical hall were naturally reliable, especially now when it wasn’t busy, they certainly wouldn’t neglect their duties.

Once outside, Yang Ruxin rubbed her stomach and decided to find a place to eat. She wondered how Gu Yao was doing. In this era without mobile phones, it was truly troublesome to keep in contact. While pondering this, she saw someone hurrying towards her. Initially, she didn’t intend to pay attention, but the person headed straight for her.

”Elder Sister! So, you really are here...”

Yang Ruxin then looked up to see it was Yang Rusong. Although she didn’t dislike this cousin, she didn’t have a particular fondness for him either. He never bullied their family, but he had never helped them, either. Seeing him now, she frowned slightly, ”Cousin, are you looking for me for something?”
