The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 229: Chapter 229: Accompany You (Second Update)_1

”Thank you, Auntie Dani, I feel the same way,” Yang Ruxin bit her lip, her desire to register her own household grew even stronger. The moment she established her own household, she’d be completely done with the Yang Family, As for her younger siblings, that didn’t matter, they were young and needed someone to provide for them. If the Yang Family wanted to take care of them, she had no objections, but how could the Yang Family possibly be willing to support so many people for nothing?

After the Yang Family members left, the crowd that had gathered to watch the commotion dispersed as well; the kind-hearted ones came over to console Yang Ruxin, and she sincerely thanked them.

”Dani, I’ll come and find you to play another day,” Liang Xiaoyu waved to Yang Ruxin and the others. She looked a bit disheveled now and needed to go back and tidy up.

Yang Ruxin nodded her head.

”Big sister.” Once everyone had left, the younger ones quickly rushed over to her, surrounding Yang Ruxin in the middle.

”It’s alright.” Yang Ruxin patted the younger ones’ heads one by one. ”We can make more silver.”

But Sanni took the kitchen knife and after inspecting its blade, sighed, ”It’s all nicked.”

”We’ll buy a few more knives when we go to town,” Yang Ruxin smiled, just now she had been worried that the little girl would be upset about the silver she had spent.

”This can still be used if it’s sharpened,” Gu Yao came over, took the kitchen knife, ”We have a sharpening stone at home, I’ll bring it over tonight,” then he went back to his own courtyard.

Yang Ruxin shrugged at the little ones: ”Alright, let’s get ready to go to town.” But her gaze fell on the retreating figures of Uncle San and the others, the corners of her mouth twitched slightly, although they didn’t speak this time, she guessed they were probably even more disappointed with the Yang Family household now.

”Forget it, let’s not go,” Sanni shook her head, ”The house can’t be left without people.”

Yang Ruxin also knew that the little ones had been frightened, so she didn’t insist. In the end, she had no choice but to go to town alone with her basket on her back, because many things had to be bought, like Xun Hui’s medicine.

Living at the back of the village made leaving the village very convenient and even kept her from being seen by others.

Not far from the village, Yang Ruxin saw Gu Yao standing by the road with his arms folded next to a flatbed cart and couldn’t help but frown, ”What are you doing here?”

”My older brother is worried that it’s not safe for you to go shopping alone and that you might not be able to carry everything. He told me to accompany you,” Gu Yao explained and then began pushing the cart.

Yang Ruxin frowned, if this guy followed her, how could she use her space? But Qingheng meant well, and she couldn’t very well refuse.

Yet having Gu Yao with her had its advantages; she no longer had to be secretive and could really just go on a shopping spree.

Although it was only seven or eight miles from the village to the town, it involved crossing a field of crops and then climbing over a small hill that wasn’t very high.

The small hill was actually a gap in the middle of a mountain, with a gentle slope. It was said to have formed due to an earthquake years before, and before then, people here had to climb over mountains to get out,

Forests lined both sides of the hill.

As soon as they reached the top of the slope, Yang Ruxin felt that something was not right; she constantly had the feeling that something was following them.

”What’s wrong?” Gu Yao, seeing Yang Ruxin looking around, immediately furrowed his brows.

”Why do I feel like something is following us?” Yang Ruxin said with a puzzled look. She trusted her instincts, but why did she have this feeling while Gu Yao did not? By all accounts, Gu Yao, being a martial artist, should have sensed it even more so.
