The Feng Shui Treasure Appraiser

449: Chapter 449 Ten for OneTen for one.

That is a direct tripling of the price.

Is that harsh?

Han Jingyang added another sentence: ”No haggling.”

What does ”no haggling” mean?

It means he doesn’t accept bargaining, he doesn’t accept price negotiation—it’s a final price.

Zhang Zhiyang’s expression immediately soured: ”Brother, this... this is a bit too much, isn’t it?”

”Too much? No, no, no, not at all. This is a standard quote. If people in the martial arts world knew about these conditions, my Jiguang Zhai would be packed solid. Trading ten useless dharma instruments for one with a clear, specific effect is definitely a big win. Of course, I make a small profit too, but that’s business. If both sides profit, that’s business; if only one side profits, that’s robbery!”

Zhang Zhiyang scratched his head: ”How about six for one?”

”No, no, no. I said no haggling, and I mean no haggling. I’m not joking, and I have no intention of bargaining with you. You need to understand, this is a seller’s market. This kind of top-tier goods—I’m the only one selling them in the whole world. I can charge whatever I want. If they don’t sell, I’ll just keep them for myself; it won’t affect me at all. But you guys can’t do that. If you want to own such good dharma instruments, you have to get them from me. Understand?”

”I understand, it’s just that it’s really too expensive. If I agree, I’ll have to write a mountain of paperwork to justify the situation, otherwise I’ll definitely be accused of transferring benefits.”

”Then don’t buy it. It’s that simple.”

”Can I pay with money?”

”Sure, pick whatever you want from the counter.”

”Don’t do that. I want good stuff. I want powerful ones, not the messy, low-quality, or even trash items in the counter.”

”You know the ones on the counter are mediocre. Good items are limited, and I need to use them myself. How could I just sell them off? Money can buy almost anything, but not the dharma instruments in my hands.”

”Even if I offer a high price, you won’t sell?”

”Not selling!”

Han Jingyang wasn’t short on money right now, so naturally, he wouldn’t just sell off those higher-grade items.

The dharma instruments he didn’t put on the counter, even if they weren’t top-tier, all had decent attributes or skills. They were valuable to him. At the very least, they could be used as consumables. Without these consumables, he would have to use his ultimate moves every time he fought, which would be too extravagant.

Besides, he wanted to properly handle this old guy, Zhang Zhiyang. Before, Zhang had suddenly been indifferent to him, and now he was crawling back, begging for favors. What did he take him for?

So his attitude was very firm: either ten for one, or go back where you came from.

Zhang Zhiyang dithered for a long time, but seeing that Han Jingyang wouldn’t budge, he could only make a call: ”Come in, bring everything in.”

”What do you mean?”

”Ahem, I made some small preparations in advance to save you some time, brother. You won’t have to run to our unit.”

As soon as he finished speaking, a group of burly men pushed the door open, carrying boxes.

Zhang Zhiyang pointed at the boxes: ”Pick whatever you want from the boxes. Ten for one, transaction on the spot, settled on the spot. Let’s make this business straightforward.”

Han Jingyang gave him the middle finger: ”You’re ruthless.”

He had previously thought that the guy surnamed Zhang was just buying some things on the side. He hadn’t expected that buying things was the main goal, and he’d even anticipated the barter, bringing five boxes of ”cash” in advance, catching him off guard.

He really was an old fox.

That kind of calculation—he had some skills.

But it didn’t matter. He had a choice, but Zhang Zhiyang didn’t.

Whatever he gave Zhang Zhiyang, Zhang Zhiyang had to take it.

This transaction, no matter what, could never be truly fair. A seller’s market was just that overbearing.

Not buying?

Then forget it.

Anyway, this is the only shop in town. If you don’t buy today, don’t even think about buying in the future, even with a price hike.

There was only one seller, but buyers were all over the world.

Therefore, Han Jingyang picked and chose a whole bunch, then threw out six items he was unlikely to use.

And Zhang Zhiyang not only accepted them readily but even thanked him repeatedly. Even if Zhang Zhiyang was cursing Han Jingyang’s arrogance in his heart, he had to wear a satisfied smile on his face, otherwise, he wouldn’t be able to buy even this much in the future.

Of course, talk is talk, and jokes are jokes. The six items Han Jingyang gave were actually quite good—three grade-six items and three grade-five items. Although the skills were average, the attributes were all decent. The skills could only be used two or three times, but the attributes could be used for a long time; they weren’t purely disposable.

Even if he had given grade-seven consumables, Zhang Zhiyang would have had to swallow his pride and accept it.

When dealing with people, one should be decent; one shouldn’t be too treacherous or damaging.

After getting the functions and usage of the six items, Zhang Zhiyang left with his men, not wanting to stay for even a second longer.

Han Jingyang, however, was overjoyed in the shop.

Sixty dharma instruments, all identifiable—another massive profit.

He finished identifying them in one go.

It was another harvest-filled day.

This was truly opening the door to treasure; having someone deliver treasures to his door first thing in the morning was a good omen.

Just after Zhang Zhiyang left, Wang Zhiwei led Dou Dou, also known as Zhou Fangfei, into the shop, smiling and cupping his hands: ”Brother, you’re a superhero now. You’re really famous.”

”I’m annoyed by it. It’s a good thing my personal information wasn’t exposed, otherwise, how could I still do business?”

”That’s true, but those people have discretion. They won’t expose you. At least online it’s fine; the cyber police are watching. It’s just that private exchanges are really unavoidable.”

”Sigh, if it gets too bad, I’ll just go away and hide.”

”For now, it shouldn’t come to that.”

”I hope so. What brings you here?” Han Jingyang said, glancing at Zhou Fangfei. This woman chose to stay in Quancheng, choosing to keep the special condition on her body—it showed she had her own ideas. He really didn’t know if it was a blessing or a curse.

Wang Zhiwei came to Jiguang Zhai as if it were his own home. He sat down generously with Zhou Fangfei, crossing his legs: ”I was thinking you’d have a lot of visitors these past two days, so I came to help out.”

”Then I thank you for that.”

”Hehe, you’re welcome. While I’m at it, I’ll ride the wave of popularity and get to know a few more people. Isn’t that how connections are built?”

”Fair point. But are you sure it’s okay to drag her around everywhere?”

”It’s all fate. I’ve realized that when trouble is meant to come, you can’t hide or avoid it. Just like the relationship between Dou Dou and me—what’s meant to come will come. So, instead of worrying every day, it’s better to live a normal life. Happy for one day is a day well-spent.”

Han Jingyang was speechless.

This guy Wang really knew how to play. He could even court his childhood sweetheart’s daughter in such a fresh and refined way.

However, Wang Zhiwei was right. Soon, more people came to visit. An old couple brought their little granddaughter, carrying bags of gifts, and knelt down to kowtow as soon as they entered.

He recognized them; they were Yang Yujie’s classmates.

Just as he helped them up, the second group arrived. These victims’ parents were the type with some status and money; they must have gotten the news from official channels.

Immediately after, the third victim.

Soon, Jiguang Zhai was packed full.

It was really thanks to Wang Zhiwei, the social butterfly of Quancheng, being there; otherwise, Han Jingyang really wouldn’t have been able to handle it.

This was only seven or eight victims.

If they all came, plus the swarms of victims’ families, he would have to rent a large conference room.

After sending off all the victims and their families, the shop was filled with gift boxes of all sizes, from yogurt and drinks to sea cucumber, abalone, cordyceps, and ginseng—everything you could imagine.

Han Jingyang let out a breath: ”This situation is more tiring than fighting.”

Wang Zhiwei joked with a laugh: ”How does it feel to have so many people kowtow to you?”
