The Feng Shui Treasure Appraiser

436: Chapter 436 Big CaseHan Jingyang rose abruptly and rushed toward the sound of Sun Qian’s scream.

Reaching the doorway, he saw a scene that made his rage boil.

Sun Qian was being dragged out the door by a burly man wearing a black T-shirt.

Zhu Yuanyuan was being hoisted by two other burly men and shoved into an SUV parked at the entrance.

Zhu Yuanyuan struggled with all her might, but it was useless.

”Damn it!”

”Let them go!”

Han Jingyang roared, leaped directly from the second floor, took a few strides to reach the entrance, and threw a punch immediately.

The burly man dragging Sun Qian reacted extremely quickly, raising his hand to block.

”Thud—”

Han Jingyang, striking with hatred, threw a punch with all his might that knocked aside the black T-shirt man’s arm and slammed solidly into his face.

The black T-shirt man fell backward.

Sun Qian, now saved, hurriedly shouted, ”Save Yuanyuan quickly—”

Han Jingyang had already lunged forward. Seeing the car door closing and the vehicle starting, he didn’t have time to think. While still in mid-air, he punched the car window.

”Bang—”

The window shattered instantly. As the glass shards sprayed, Han Jingyang’s fist also landed squarely on the driver’s face.

The car, which had just started moving, slowly slid for a dozen meters before stopping.

With a livid face, Han Jingyang chased after the car, smashed the glass with a punch, grabbed the door frame, and yanked hard.

”Creeak—”

The car door was ripped off by him by sheer force.

Then, suppressing his rage, he said in a deep voice to the burly man in the car holding Zhu Yuanyuan hostage with a dagger, ”Let her go, and I will spare your life!”

The burly man was covered in cold sweat, his expression extremely tense, holding the dagger tightly against Zhu Yuanyuan’s neck. ”You, don’t do anything rash! I really will do it!”

”You’re courting death!”

Han Jingyang suddenly raised his hand.

Hidden projectile attack!

A mass of white Qi slowly drifted behind the burly man, condensed into a pitch-black longsword, and then, seemingly slow but actually lightning-fast, stabbed into the back of the burly man’s head and pierced through his forehead.

The strike was successful.

The burly man went limp without a sound.

His soul was annihilated, he died silently, his body didn’t even have any instinctive reaction, and in an instant, only a lifeless corpse remained.

Han Jingyang reached out to pull up the tearful Zhu Yuanyuan and hugged her, comforting her softly.

At this moment, the people in the restaurant finally reacted.

”Murder!”

”Call the police, call the police quickly!”

”What kind of people are these?”

”That young man is amazing!”

”One punch for each, is he the One Punch Man of Quancheng?”

”Awesome! If he had been a few seconds later, one of them would have been taken!”

”You have to look for a boyfriend like this, full of security!”

”A real man!”

”An iron-blooded tough guy!”

”Look at that build, he’s clearly a standard local man!”

”These two girls are lucky to have such a powerful boyfriend, otherwise the consequences would have been unimaginable.”

”Thank goodness, thank goodness.”

The restaurant owner walked up to Han Jingyang with a smiling face, holding a tissue box. ”Young man, wipe off the blood. Why don’t you leave first? Otherwise, you won’t be able to leave later. You’ll inevitably have to spend a night inside. If someone really died, there will be more trouble later. What if these people are powerful? They might frame you for mutual combat, which would be even more troublesome.”

Han Jingyang pulled out a few tissues to wipe off the tiny bit of blood on his fist. ”No need. I want to see exactly who dares to be this arrogant, committing crimes in broad daylight in front of so many people.”

”This...” the restaurant owner whispered. ”I advise you not to throw an egg against a rock. These people are really not to be trifled with.”

”What do you mean?”

”Exactly what it sounds like,” the restaurant owner explained in an even lower voice. ”We restaurant owners have an association group. Almost all restaurant owners in Quancheng are in it. They say that in the last half month, several such incidents have occurred. The victims are all young and beautiful women. The victims’ families have done everything they could, but they can’t find the perpetrators or the victims. And with such a big deal, there hasn’t even been a ripple. Think about how deep the water must be.”

After saying this, the restaurant owner hurried back into the restaurant.

Han Jingyang narrowed his eyes.

Listening to this, it wasn’t targeted at him, nor at Zhu Yuanyuan and Sun Qian, but rather the random kidnapping of young and beautiful women?

This nature is even more serious!

Han Jingyang put his arm around Zhu Yuanyuan and returned to the restaurant, then pulled Sun Qian up and comforted her too.

Soon, the police arrived at the scene.

They took photos, investigated, and took statements.

The three of them went along for the ride.

However, with Shen Yuhai there, the three were treated very well and only had to recount the event once.

After recounting it, Shen Yuhai invited Han Jingyang into his office, closed the door, and immediately slumped on the sofa like a deflated balloon. ”Brother, I have to trouble you again this time.”

Han Jingyang also sighed. ”Old Shen, you don’t have any clues at all?”

”None. If we had some, that would be easy to talk about. These days, as long as you find a clue, you can follow the vine to find more. Even if we can’t catch the perpetrators directly, we can at least give the victims and the public an explanation. But now, we have nothing, except for the two people and the car you just left behind.”

”Are they useful?”

”I don’t know. The technical department is still checking, but those two people can’t talk anymore; they are both dead. We can only try our best to trace them through identity information and the Skynet system,” Shen Yuhai said, rubbing his eyebrows hard. ”Because of this, I haven’t been home for ten days. The entire bureau is running, and we’ve done full-area inspections twice in twelve days, but it hasn’t had any effect. There’s really no other way.”

”Why didn’t you call me sooner?”

”Weren’t you busy? I thought I’d wait until you were done,” Shen Yuhai smiled bitterly. ”After all, constantly bothering you isn’t right. We can’t rely on you forever, can we?”

Han Jingyang took a deep breath. ”Tell me the specific situation first.”

”There isn’t much to detail. Currently, we only have information on the victims. The first similar case happened exactly half a month ago. The victim was a high school girl helping in her parents’ shop. She was kidnapped while going out to take out the trash. The Skynet monitoring captured information about the vehicle and the perpetrators, but the license plate was disguised, and the perpetrators covered their faces. After succeeding, the perpetrators quickly left the city and disappeared from the monitoring range. The other cases are almost identical.”

”No useful information at all?”

”None. The two people you took down and the car you forced to stop are the most direct evidence so far. Of course, there is also the restaurant’s surveillance which captured the faces of the three men, but I always feel it’s useless. They dare to commit crimes in public, so they must have preventive measures.”

Han Jingyang frowned. ”Such crazy cases are rare, right?”

Shen Yuhai lowered his voice. ”It’s more than just rare. This frequency of crime and such rampant methods are unheard of across the country. If there are no discoveries soon, the higher-ups will send people down.”

Quancheng is a provincial capital city, with a higher rank than other prefecture-level cities. The unit where Shen Yuhai works possesses much stronger forces than those in prefecture-level cities, second only to the ministerial-level units one level above.

Generally speaking, when relevant provincial capital units take action themselves, they can solve most cases.

But Shen Yuhai and his team had been working day and night for half a month and had gained nothing. This was not just a little embarrassing; next time they go to a meeting with the higher-ups, they are bound to be laughed at, and might even be made an example of.

The pressure is immense.

Now it’s different. Han Jingyang directly took down three perpetrators and seized a car and other tools of the crime. Although there is a component of coincidence, it can greatly alleviate the pressure Shen Yuhai and his team are facing.

If they happen to find some valuable clues, that would be even better.

Of course, with Han Jingyang’s help, it’s even better than better.

So, after recounting the general case, Shen Yuhai looked at Han Jingyang eagerly. ”Brother, what do you think? Will you help us?”
