The Feng Shui Treasure Appraiser

422: Chapter 422 Immeasurable MeritOld Monk Delin sighed, ”This old monk can only put aside his pride and beg for help everywhere. Fortunately, this old face of mine is still worth something, and I can get a word in at certain places.”

Han Jingyang felt quite uncomfortable inside.

This old monk did not want anything for himself; he was just doing pure, good deeds, yet he still had to go around begging for help.

Where is the justice in that?

In this regard, although this master and disciple pair were worldly, they had not abandoned their principles as disciples of the Buddha.

Not to mention anything else, simply opposing the Japanese invaders with their own strength could be called immeasurable merit.

It would not be an exaggeration to call them the guardian deities of the people of Quancheng.

Thinking of this, he cupped his hands, ”Perhaps I can also be of help.”

Old Monk Delin hurriedly pressed his palms together to thank him.

Han Jingyang waved his hand, ”I am also a native of Quancheng; this is my duty. It is a pity that such matters cannot be brought out into the open; otherwise, the mere verbal attacks of the common people would be enough to easily dismantle those ghostly things the Japanese invaders have set up.”

Monk Delin nodded, not picking up on this sensitive topic, but instead pressed on, ”Mr. Han, if you were to handle this, what method would you intend to use?”

A method?

He actually did have one.

The first was to demolish the Maitreya Victory Garden and rebuild it into something else.

The second was more troublesome: to change the path of the qi veins, letting the qi veins bypass the nail that was the Maitreya Victory Garden.

The third was to create some targeted structures or arrangements against the Maitreya Victory Garden; although it could not be completely eradicated, it could significantly weaken the harm caused by the Maitreya Victory Garden.

Of course, there were other methods, such as directly and violently destroying the Feng Shui Arts layout of the Maitreya Victory Garden, like the Dragon Slaying technique, but that was a method of injuring the enemy by a thousand while damaging oneself by eight hundred; it was best not to use it unless absolutely necessary.

In addition, there was the construction of special buildings with strong qi fields, similar to cliffside stone carvings. Such buildings had a strong humanistic atmosphere, could greatly enhance the qi field of the location, and could greatly improve the layout and grade; it was an excellent method to strengthen oneself.

But, where could one find such architecture these days?

Never mind such architecture, one could not even find a few craftsmen and designers who knew how to build it, and even if they barely managed to build it, it would not feel right.

To put it plainly, this was a cultural attribute, an authentic cultural attribute that was compatible with the local humanistic attributes.

But the cultural figures of today were different from those of thousands of years ago; no matter how beautiful the things they created were, it was hard to call them authentic.

Not to mention letting them create something original, they could not even repair things properly when following templates and photos.

Therefore, this method seemed the simplest, but was actually the hardest to execute.

The result was that Han Jingyang thought about it, but simply could not come up with any reliable method.

Either the workload was too large, the risk was too high, or it was not feasible.

Anyway, it was very troublesome.

So, he shook his head at Monk Delin, ”I really do not have any good methods or ideas for the moment; I need to think about it some more.”

Monk Delin said with a troubled expression, ”I have been thinking about a foolproof plan, but it always falls a bit short.”

”Tell me your train of thought, and we can deliberate on it together.”

”If we really cannot move the Maitreya Victory Garden, then we should use Feng Shui Arts to neutralize that suppressive force.”

”Neutralize?”

”Yes.”

”That is indeed a train of thought,” Han Jingyang nodded.

Neutralization and his violent destruction were the same line of thinking; both were about making the Maitreya Victory Garden lose its effect without moving it.

It was just that one was more direct, while the other was more ingenious.

It could not be said which was better or worse; it was just a different train of thought.

Of course, the difficulty levels were not in the same league.

The former was simpler; break it with force and be done with it.

The latter, however, needed to be done very ingeniously.

In addition, the Maitreya Victory Garden was only one part of this Feng Shui game; getting rid of the Maitreya Victory Garden was only the first step. The second step was to reinforce it, that is, to strengthen the Feng Shui Arts layout of Thousand Buddha Mountain, so that the Thousand Buddha Mountain dragon vein would not be easily manipulated by the Japanese invaders.

So, this was quite a complex job.

Troublesome.

If he had known, he would not have taken this job.

However, it was not without its benefits; at the very least, it could attract more Japanese invaders to come and offer up their heads and dharma instruments.

Then let us do it!

If you are not going to do it, do not.

If you are going to do it, do it big.

Thinking of this, he took a deep breath and said to Monk Delin, ”How about this: I will first give the Maitreya Victory Garden a heavy blow to test their reaction. If the effect is good, would that not save us trouble?”

Monk Delin was both surprised and delighted, ”You have a way?”

”I do, but it is not certain what the specific effect will be. This is my first time doing something like this, so I need to find my rhythm first. If the effect is obvious, I can directly make the Japanese invaders suffer a secret loss.”

Monk Delin was overjoyed, stood up, and grasped Han Jingyang’s hand, ”Mr. Han, if this is truly feasible, then you are the great benefactor of our people in Quancheng. Once it is accomplished, the millions of people in the city will be your most solid backing.”

Han Jingyang thought about it and also felt it was quite satisfying.

Although most ordinary people might not know what he had done at all, it was enough that someone knew.

What if it was made public one day?

Moreover, fame among ordinary people meant nothing to him; it was enough to be famous in the circle, and it would not hinder him from making money.

Han Jingyang discussed various details carefully with Old Monk Delin, and then climbed to the mountaintop to observe the lie of the land, exchanging and comparing their respective knowledge and understanding of Feng Shui Arts and earth qi.

Of course, he was definitely crushing them.

No matter how strong one’s sensory ability was, it was not as intuitive or careful as direct observation.

There was a necessity for humans to have evolved eyes.

In the evening.

After eating a vegetarian meal at Xingguo Zen Temple.

The group arrived at the eastern foothills of Thousand Buddha Mountain. Standing halfway up the mountain and looking down, they could clearly see the huge maitreya buddha in the Maitreya Victory Garden. Its golden luster appeared particularly glaring under the reflection of the thousands of lights of Quancheng.

Monk Delin sighed, ”Mr. Han, what good method do you have?”

Han Jingyang chuckled to himself.

Although this old monk had a good heart, he must also have had the intention to probe into his background and see his methods.

But it did not matter.

They could look however they wanted.

Anyway, no one could learn it or steal it.

Let them look.

Let them look openly and generously.

Thinking of this, Han Jingyang smiled and activated the ”Manifestation of Holiness” attribute, ”Monk, watch closely, and let me show you how I deal with these Japanese invaders.”

Monk Delin showed a look of surprise, ”Is this opening the Heavenly Eye?”

Han Jingyang nodded and then shook his head, ”Something like that; the nature is different, but the effect is more or less the same.”

Monk Delin stared at the Maitreya Victory Garden at the foot of the mountain and took a deep breath, ”Mr. Han, please, we monks will wait and see.”

Han Jingyang nodded. With a flip of his wrist, a large drum appeared in front of him, and he held a pair of drumsticks in his hands.

This was what he had just seized from Liu Cheng.

This drum featured its original skin and drumsticks and was from the Jiajing era.

It was not easy for things from that era to be preserved intact, let alone for it to be a dharma instrument.

Even more so, it was a third-grade dharma instrument.

And even more so, it carried two incredibly awesome skills.
